I don't think i'm getting the whole picture with the problem. There are other clones w/ nearly the exact same figure layout already. I can think of 2 types that are near perfect clones of minifigures.
-
I'm not sure. I asked at the top of the page but nobody ever responded to the question. When i asked on yahoo answers, i didn't get an answer and i just tried Google and nothing. I even tried Bing but it seems to have pull up every result that's NOT related to what i need to know.

The figures i'm seeing from image searches look almost exactly like Lego minifigures. Only real difference i'm seeing is the head in very small ways. Also, can someone please fill me in on the details of the lawsuit? Is it Lego suing BanBao or is it the other way around? Exactly what would happening if Lego loses the lawsuit? When will there be an announcement of the result? I tried using 4 different search engines online to no result. Yahoo, Bing, and Ask all came up with nothing. I also tried Google but for reasons unknown it is not working properly for me on FireFox. I can't use the IE to try to Google because IE won't load up properly for me.

The jack stone figures just got here.

lowes may have one. i like the system since it's perfect for small bits. They are very popular with a lot of people.

Watch out. There's bound to be another one soon. The link shows that the listing has been removed. -
I meant to ask if you were going to put some new images up.
-
are you going to put ? This is really good.

*hides under flame shield* I think as far as clone brands, people SHOULD be a little more open to the sets. I picked up 3 sets, 1 from each of 3 names since i'm going through a pretty rough patch w/ lego. I got a dollar general $1 set, Best lock police car and a Super blox fire rescue type vehicle. While i didn't care for the quality of the DG set or the little bit of overflow on the police car, i DID love that both had NO extra pieces at all to clutter the container i'm keeping them in. However, the SB will be welcomed in the living room(other 2 sets stored for now) after a few minor alterations. It just needs the seat and steering column switched to a lego one for the minifigures and the back part altered a little to make a better holding spot for stuff(I think it only needs a 1X6 red brick). And also 4 "Brick, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin and Axle Hole" pieces so I can add on lego tires that look a little better(that's a BL project for another day). The truck looks way cooler then the little LEGO 3-in-1 creator or racer sets that are only about 1 dollar more. i saw a second SB set at Dollar general but I am trying to save up a few dollars for when the lego series 6 figures come out. It will probably run a little more, but i'm going to go through BL for the skater girl instead of the lego store. I went last month wanting 2 and came out w/ 7 plus spending about twice as much money as planned. Experimenting w/ different brands today made me decide that while i still don't like the path that lego is taking with the company, I will be sticking to lego(more of less) for the products mostly by buying from Bricklink. If i ran in circles somewhere, please let me know and i'll correct it. It's just that I currently stayed up later then planned and i am offically worn out.

As far as the sets w/ the generic lego bits, how is the quality? Now that i'm offically an ex-lego fan, i'm looking at other sets now. Nothing for the second buying wise but for a few small things on the christmas list. I tried a 1 dollar DG store set and a small best lock set but i don't like the quality of either. I have 1 more set to try out. However, I keep hearing Knex being praised as a company and am thinking of them next. BUT i'd like to here it from an uncensored community. EDIT: also, does anyone know if it's possible to hate the company but love the products? As much as i hate the lego company itself, i like the products. I tried the 3rd set, a superblox, and it's actually pretty good for generic. However, i don't like the minifigure.

I have thought about using bricklink to offload the extra stuff but we almost never go to the post office anymore. We get mail at the house and almost never send out packages. Last package i can remember sending that was me related(not counting sending a pair of flesh hands in a normal envelope) was about 3 years ago when i had to send an item back to an ebay seller since they got my item mixed up w/ a controller(I ordered a GC memory card and got a Ps2 wireless controller.) I know i shouldn't moan about free parts but it's parts i don't need. Especially the 1X1 studs and cheese. Between them, i have enough to fill a small lego swimming pool. Older sets that came b4 the semidark age? I used to love getting 3-in-1 and older harry potter stuff. Lately i haven't been finding anything of real interest. A lot of sets that i've gotten lately have either shrunk since the last time i got the sets(i.e. 3-in-1's) or nothing special or worse, there's issues w/ the building instructions. Building the lego log cabin was a nightmare at more then one stage. I know how to build lego sets but the instructions were really bad at times. I am not quite into the 4 juniors as a whole set thing, mainly minifigures. I don't see how the theme is a failure. I can see it needing a few tweaks but it is a very interesting set up that would be nice if it made a come back. As far as no extras in collectible figure packs, Something makes no sense at all. If extra pieces are non existent why did price go up a full dollar? While the figures are interesting, the 3 dollar price tag makes no sense. And i wish there'd be more minifigures in a set. The #1 reason i loved going for sets is new minifigures. Yea, they do multiple like rabbits, but it's the variety that i love.

I'd say the lego company is my real frustration. I used to be a huge lego fan but now i'm in some sort of semi-dark age thing. Here's my list of issues(taking from a post i was planning but i can't get it right) : I don't like the increasing amount of Chinese made parts, increase of cheese slopes in sets, extras I get in sets(most of the leftovers i NEVER use[i.e the fire plumes] or already have enough off[i.e. studs]), stingyness of lego minifigures in sets, the price tags on a lot of sets, Waste of space in boxes(finally decreasing but a lot of sets have a ways to go),Lack of females in sets(I have at least 150 boys and just under 3 dozen girls[with 10 being RECENT purchases from the BAM bin]), and overall shrinking set size. I could handle a few things, but w/ the stuff coming in waves, it's way to much. I'm saying semi-dark age since i still am coming on here, have a few items on my shopping list, getting some 4 junior figures from airsoft(the figures are so cute!) and didn't save all my legos. I have a tackle box w/ some stuff in it next to me, but it's sharing space w/ some non-lego things. From what i'm finding out, lego had already lost their way big time b4 the 2004ish company crisis but still haven't found their way back.

oops. I normally spell it normally, but i was in a bit a rush.

I just talked w/ DarkDragon. The hands have landed safely. It'll still be just over a week b4 the person i'm getting the figures from returns from his trip, then he can send them(thank you!)
-
Drop me a PT and they are yours
-
I have talked to the person w/ said jack stone figures and have staked my claim(items won't be able to go out for a couple weeks do to them going on a trip). Now i'd like to put up a pair of Flesh colored hands for grabs.

Thanks

Have you tried posting on the B/T/S forum?

Does anyone know what that piece silentmode posted is? I'm curious to find out the item name but a quick bricklink search has come up empty.

i heard about this set. MSRP was only a couple hundred dollars but is selling on average for 4-5 times more then that. However, I did find a couple on the ebay listings when checking brickset. both appear to be in EUC w/ no missing pieces: Current bid 510.00 w/ 11.75 hours left: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120771558329+&item=120771558329&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466 And current bid 51.99 w/ 6 days, 11 hours left: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320755446947+&item=320755446947&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466

There really wasn't anything that special or unique. it was a lot like just a boring generic layout. There were the models on display people made but nothing besides that.
-
Sending you a message about it EDIT: so it'll be publicly known. The message was asking about the figures and saying that i AM interested in them.

Mall I went to lately isn't very good anymore. The wall is the same, but they switched from containers(3 sections or so and 2 of them) that made the checkout look great to vertical set ups(imagine sorta small book cases w/ the bottom w/o shelves to hang keychains and a shelf higher up with a plexiglass thing to keep series 5 figures from falling that look terrible. Then the minifigure bin went from vertical containers that made it look great and kept minifigures more or less seperated to two squares stacked, 4 sections to a side vertical set up and it was almost impossible to find anything while I was out there about a week and a half ago PLUS a lot of stuff was scrambled. plus I had to kneel down half the time to find anything. The bins on the old set up was fine for my height but the new ones are terrible. Here's the thing: I'd understand if i was tall but i'm only in the ballpark of 5 feet, 7 inches. unless we're out that direction around the time of new minifigures being released, I don't see myself wanting to go again. It's not just that i'm haulting lego buying b/c of the 3DS upgrade rumors and i'm entering a weird semi-dark age thingy, it's also b/c of the set up. The store went from looking like a wonderful, well established store to a store that looks like either a brand new or a store on the verge of slimming down the stuff to go out of business.

Least Successful Collectable Minifig
ACWWgal2011 replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Here's my opinion: Series 1: Deep sea diver, no contest. Divers have been done in more then one form and I have an non-series 1 diver that looks almost exactly like him. series 2: I'd have to vote the poncho guy. He's kinda bland and doesn't really bring anything exciting to the party. Series 3: Pilot. Pilots of a similar style have shown up w/ the IJ line and it's kinda boring Series 4: I really don't see any ones that are that bad, but I DON'T care for the mad scientist hair do material. NOTE: I am NOT voting him as bad, only his hair do material Series 5: Dwarf, no contest. I've seen them b4 in other sets and he's not that special -
Heres my haul. I know I could of put in more 1X1 studs/plates/tiles to fill in space, but i've been a couple times b4 and I have enough studs to fill a small lego pool and I don't need more plates and tiles. lime green 2x4 = 23 orange 2x4 = 19 light blue = 10 tan 2x4 = 1 dark red 2x4 = 12 red 1X2 = 11 1X2 black = 3 1x1 blue stud = 3 1x1 clear stud = 4 1x1 red stud = 2 1x1 red tile = 2 1x1 green plate = 1 1x2 yellow jumper plate = 27 gearstick = 2 2x2 dark gray = 8 1x2 dark tan tile = 1 1x2 gray plate w/ ridges = 15 2x2 dark tan tile = 15 1x4 gray brick = 14 1X1 dark gray brick = 12 1X2 white w/ ridges = 4 1X2 white brick = 1 1X2 tan brick = 1 2X2 tan corner = 29 1x4 log brick = 34 1x2 log brick brown = 75 1x2 tan brick = 40 3X6 dark red wing = 3 left, 3 right 1 mailbox w/ door 1 computer 376
