  1. Chalk me up for TWO more outages. One when i tried to get on about 5PM EST and another that lasted 20 minutes and i just managed to get back on.
  2. Estimated release day is sometime in September last time i checked brickapedia. That'll mean that we're looking at only about 4 months max until the series is released if the day is true.
  3. Maybe rushed as in rushed through the proper QC checks. The stories i've heard of these, other figures, and various parts sounds like the QC Department is asleep at the wheel.
  4. Really? If it can be filmed, can someone maybe get a little footage to please share or let us know what happens? I am not interested in the superhero line at the moment but the fact that this is happening to minifigures, the major reason that i'm still into lego, this is really concerning me. Thanks.
  5. Nothing else for people to discuss. Nothing is known about series 8 outside of color and if someone posts asking about the future of the series(I am NOT going to start that debate) it's just going to turn ugly fast.
  6. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but over the last few days, i've had problems multiple times with going from one page to the next or even submitting and a screen that says "Driver error" is shown instead of my destination. It says that it's a problem on the website end. It keeps happening at random times. It doesn't matter if i have just 1 eurobrick tab open or several, eurobrick tabs ONLY or mixed with other sites. While typing this and checking another forum tab, the message appeared again. Here's what it says: "There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here" Refreshing doesn't do anything and i have to go to the eurobricks.com on my address bar several times just to get it running again. It can't be the laptop since it's been up and running less then a month, virus scan ran yesterday, hooked up to a new internet box(about the same age as the laptop), and EB was not acting up in anyway with the laptop until less then a week ago. What's going on here?
  7. Mine are stored in 5 different ways. The majority of the collection is in a display cabinet i keep other lego items in. They are kept on the stands with the accessories kept in a small container. Then i have some figures i made via the BAM bin(mostly CMF parts and tried sticking to the orginal design). They are mostly kept in a 2 tray tackle box with items i really like(storage method 2) or also in a green container in a cart(method 3). Method 4 is some series 4-6 figures i have on the stands but in my cart since those are ones i might want to use one day but keep in good shape with the accessories stored in the hardware box. Number five isn't exactly storage but more of a "Work In Progress" container. It's a yellow hardware box that i have minifigures i'm working on. I got several various parts from the BAM bin and after an order via lego PAB online, i'm down to mostly needing legs that i'll get cheaper from BL one day.
  8. It was a slip of the tongue. Over the last couple days we've been doing a ton of stuff and didn't word it right out of exhaustion
  9. I really can't be accused of going down the girl aisle when i barely enter it at all. The moshi monsters are set up on a peg less then 3 feet from the entrance of the aisle.
  10. Have you tried Bricklink for the figures? That's how i got the series 6 figures i wanted and i'm tracking series 7.
  11. Since series 7 got released so early, a month in the UK area and at least 2 - 3 weeks b4 release date in US, sounds like series 6 got squished out the the picture early.
  12. The one we go to seems to have less friends lego then other stores and unless that walmart is refilling the friends stuff(judging by the way they're treating lego, they AREN'T), it's not moving at all. And the main lego aisle hasn't had properly stocked shelves in months for the in () note. After the shelves were cleaned of all the non-lego + clone brand items in early january, it's been less then 75% full since then and that number was as of yesterday's trip something like 3+ months since the clean out. And it was at less then 50 up until about 2 months ago.
  13. is feeling like she's the only one still against the friends line

  14. I am a person against the series. While the boy aimed sets have boys in all sorts of cases, the friends line all revolves around girls in sterotypical scenerios(baking, hair, vet, etc) that revolve around girls with set story lines. Lego could of done so much better to catch the female attention while avoiding the risk of a 6th fail lego girl aimed theme. And honestly it's getting to the point that if i could, i'd NEVER set foot in a walmart again. I can't go into the girl isle looking for the moshi monsters anymore without those sets staring back at me. I can't even go into the discount section at the walmart we go to without seeing friends polybags. I've done a ton of only reading about the subject and I've learned 3 things: 1) the controversy is pretty much dead online, 2) it feels like, except for spark, I'm the last person online that hasn't bought the line, and 3) lego spent 4 million on "research" on the set with another 40 million on some sort of advertising thing. EDIT: Just found the spark - lego meeting article. Almost nothing about friends happened there. Except for including BOYS in the friends adds and expanding to "non-sterotypical lines" with friends sets(like that would ever happen), it seems like lego blew off the entire friends outrage issues.
  15. my choice: 2) The ski jump in Holmenkollen in Oslo (Sleepyhead) Entry (Build by Cecilie) - 3 points
  16. Here's my choices: 1) Sleepyhead entry (Build by Scootercide)- 2 points 24) Clockwork robot entry (Build by zenda)- 1 point
  17. As far as trains, by all fairness, are sometimes a hard to id thing if your new to the lego scene or don't do trains Though i am tired of him complaining about not getting full minifigures. I got figure parts(mainly head and legs) in the last few bags i got and i loved it way more then getting full figures since on the last 2 trips i was after figure parts(mainly torso and CMF hair) to make my own.
  18. Parts as in torso assembly, leg assembly, hat, hair, head, accessory. Any 15 parts in a container.
  19. I don't think it's real or if it is, it's a very poor image. The image seems to be of a 1980's or 90's figure quality and i'm looking at the magnified image of the photo given. The image of the "box" of figures seems to be a very poor photoshop job and the packet image looks like a borderline poorly done job.
  20. It's really weird that pharaohs would be missing. As far as army builder targets, i think of spartans, elves, gladiators, roman soliders, baseball players, etc.
  21. Actually i think there are legit cases of it being ok to get all of one figure from a box such as if there is only 1 or 2 left or the boxes aren't selling. I did buy all the evil dwarfs from a box at walmart(there was only 3 and that's what i needed) but i was in a case of there was nothing wrong with me doing so. The figures didn't really sell at full retail(maybe 1-1.5 dozens packets sold with about 7 being ones i bought) and even at clearance(1 dollar a pack) they were moving so slowly that it wasn't even funny. Between 2 previous runs, i am up to a very small army of 5 figures. Not counting the unplanned cheerleader army and cleo trio(BAM bin at lego store for cheerleaders and didn't plan on cleo trio), that is the ONLY CMF i have more then 2 of.
  22. It is worth it. I heard that the average increase of items with stacked cups is about 20% more over non-stacked parts. However the 1x1 studs tend to be a rarely stacked item since they can squeeze into the nooks and crannys easily
  23. Part storage for me. large holds 1xn plates longer then 3 studs in one, 1x2 and 2x2 slopes in another, inverted in another, log bricks in another, and i'm using a small cup to keep the trans-blue, trans-yellow, and orange toget(about 1 inch from the top).
  24. Maybe you could try sorting in stages if you don't have enough free time for a full sorting session. Maybe you could start by setting up boxes for general catagories - bricks, plates, minifigures/figure parts, modified parts, small parts(1x2 plate or smaller), vehicles, etc. Then start on sorting parts into the proper catagories as you can.
  25. Have you asked them if they have any in stock? The one i went to doesn't really have room for grab bag display so they keep the box of bags in the back room. If you asked and they don't have any, it could be that the bags are selling quickly or they didn't have a chance to make any more bags.
