  1. Thank you to all those who shared their ideas for modding the Defender. Here are some pictures of what I consider my finished model:
  2. I have and they are on there way but I have already replaced parts with Lego parts from Ebay. Re Motorise perhaps that will be my next build..
  3. Thank you I will, though not understanding how a short of throw of the paddle shift can equate to a 45 degree shift change but I will read the thread.
  4. I am just coming to the end of building this Static model and even after fitting the doors I didn't realise the open/closing mechanism worked. Hats off to Bruno, thoroughly enjoyable build, couple of damaged parts apparently on their way from China but bought Lego pieces from Ebay so I could continue. Slightly disappointed that gearchange doesn't follow through to paddle shifters like the Lego Sian but hey ho. Biggest criticism is axle joints and loose fit sorted with pliers which shouldn't be necessary.
  5. This site is my automatic wallet opener, it has cost me loads.......
  6. OK, just joined and admit I have not read through all 93 pages but having now got clicking issues which may require a rebuild I have a couple of questions: I made the fundamental error of installing one diff the wrong way round. I compounded the problem by reversing the rear one (which was correctly orientated) as I deemed the rear more easily accessible. Is reverse selected by pushing the selector forward? Should it be possible to change gear when in reverse or should there only be one reverse gear?
  7. I have been reading this thread with interest since I commenced my 42110 build primarily because I suffered with clicking issues on my previous build (Sian). The YouTube video prevented me from implementing the infamous Lego Step 89 in the manual error and I have now almost finished. I am currently awaiting parts to arrive for the front light mod and more recently ordered the Boo Bar parts (Many thanks JunkstyleGio). I have also ordered the chunkier tyres from Ebay I reluctantly ordered a second set so I could replace the spare wheel tyre as well. EDIT - I can't believe it, those tyres (& wheels) were £13.56 per set when I ordered the other day.
