I am also partially colour blind and recently built the new Star Wars Landspeeder UCS. On a couple of occasions I had mixed colour studded plates when the remaining pieces should have all been the same colour. I had to backtrack to find out whre the missing pieces were and correct the colour mismatch.

I noticed that, I finally received the complete set of updated stickers recently, they sent me part sets of old stickers the previous three times. The last lady i spoke to at Lego researched the new part numbers and sent a complete set. You never know I might build an "old " version one day as I have the "old" box and manual already.

42110 - Land Rover Defender
williamyzfr1 replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You're right, one is not enough for the 42110. My original purchase ignited my creative side so recently I purchased a second and religiously applied all of the stickers and it is 100% original as Lego intended. -
They are universal "New Star Wars Sets" and "Purchases" threads rather than a specific model thread, hence the reason I was asking. Obviously, this is not welcome in the Star Wars Forum so I will return to the Technics Forum. They at least have dedicated threads to most models, new and old, including MOD's (and MOC's). BYE.

Fair enough, I usually stick with the large scale Technic cars but have built A_C's modified BB8 & R2-D2 from Rebrickable. I just get the impression that this Forum is not about whats new but more about MOC's and MOD's which is fine but more pronounced than the Technic's Forum.

I came here looking for a thread about this new set and experiences but unless I am wrong there isn't one. There are lots of of MOC's, a few mods of existing sets, a mention of 75341's existence but nothing current as far as I can see. If I am wrong - Apologies Anyone else bought this set recently?

Thank you for the explanation about the fan and the correct way to secure the container. Yes, I did miss that small but very important step with the four ball connectors. I had those parts left over and I did wonder why but I had not considered there use to secure the container. They have now been put in their rightful place.

Well I bought all the parts to convert a Mack Anthem to 4 wheeled axles but when the model arrived I decided to keep the wheels standard. Perhaps due to cost, rarity these days. It is now complete and I am generally happy with it apart from 2 items. 1. What is it with the fake steering wheel that the instructions tell you to install in the roof space of the cab? 2. The freight container is not constrained in any way on the trailer and is free to move all over the place. I have used 1x1 circular tiles on the base of the container that locate next to the same tiles mounted on the trailer so the tiles prevent the container moving sideways or backwards or forwards. it stays in one position. You just need 4 tiles on the container and four on the trailer, preferably in dark grey The cross beams of the trailer prevent the container moving backwards of forwards with the tiles fitted to the container and the trailer tiles each mounted one further stud in prevent the sideways movement.

Unless I have made a mistake the only changed stickers are the Large one on the nose section and the wheel covers. The rest of the changes are all stickers that are no longer used: Bitci.com Buzz ONTM Pay. EDIT Today the revised sticker set turned up and Miory Steel is still on the large sticker on the nose section. Lego were very apologetic and confirmed Miory Steel ishould not be on the new sticker. They believe they sent an original Sticker sheet 3 in error. They are sending another complete set.

Unfortunately the supplied wheel covers look hideous to me and I cannot think of a better fix with available parts. I did try to utilise the supplied wheel covers and incorporate my own design but the limitations of Lego meant they protruded far to much from the wheel. I personally am happier with my result, which I admit is far from perfect to a critical eye and not to scale.

My build is not finished but yes, those wheelcovers are exactly like what I came up with.I am just awaiting delivery of the wheel centres (1x1 circular gold tiles) and revised sticker set..

Although I recently puchased this set IMHO the whole concept of a huge flat plate to give the impression of a larger wheel and lower profile tyre is wrong. Lego should have done it the correct way with a new wheel and tyre. I have built my own insert that fits within the confines of the Tumbler wheel, as it uses Lego 2x2 Macaroni I can change those to the new Google sponsor colours. The end result may not hide the incorrect tyre profile but to me it is better than that big black disc on each wheel, Incidentally I emailed Lego UK about the new sticker set and they are sending it FOC.

"Cinturato" are wet weather tyres, "P Zero" are dry tyres hence "P Zero" was completely wrong with the wet weather Lego tyres used. I ordered from Amazon UK yesterday so I wonder which version I will receive, seems the advertised box picture remains unchanged on Lego & Amazon but the model photos removed "Bitch" from day one on both Lego and Amazon model. photographs.

if you look on Lego.com/uk the model is out of stock but the product picture shows the updated decals applied. They have not updated the box picture yet though. You can compare the differences by looking at the same picture on Amazon.co.uk which is currently in stock to purchase with the old decals. I guess the box picture and instruction manual would also have to be changed for the revised model. EDIT Online Lego Building Instructions are available for download with revised decals.

Has anyone come up with a satisfactory alternative to the hideous wheelcovers & stickers?
