  1. I was hoping this thread would be about improving realism NOT putting the model on wheels
  2. Wrong name, incorrect sticker, wrong wheel cover. Lego need to improve.
  3. Personally, I think Lego should have a rethink in the tyre and wheel department, they really messed up on all levels and should revise before release.
  4. Having contemplated I am now going to wait for Lego to release the instructions. If there is a way to replace the oversize wheel covers so that they don't encroach on the tyre, with an existing part, then maybe I will buy this model
  5. Your right - Its not right. Waste of money if you buy it. 4 Unrealistic wheels and a twig body.
  6. I am sorry but having looked on the LEGO website I wont be buying this. Its crude and unrealistic for £159. Yet previously, I couldn't wait to order it
  7. The last picture makes this car look like a total waste of money. I was willing to preorder on my experience with a 2006 Ferrari F1 car which I still own but I don't want this any more, it's hideous and cheap.
  8. Extended wheel covers ruin it for me. Blue wet tyres are Cinturato not P-Zero as previously stated - A poor model for the licensed lego price. - I won't be buying. Shame as I was previously willing to prerorder prior to release date.
  9. Well my build is finished although I am unhappy with about 5 stickers (placement etc) so am expecting a new set from Lego to replace those I am unhappy with. Lets hope I get it right when they turn up - I had more trouble with alignment of stickers on this set than with the Ferrari.
  10. Just went to revisit the post about this: -Printed Panels Seems to have disappeared. Very interested but I suspect it won't be cheap.
  11. I really cant see that happening. Its new and its big.
  12. Ok, its ordered and on its way but having downloaded the instructions (and comparing the real bike and model in the instructions opening pages) the angle of the windscreen is far too extreme and the clutter above the front mudguard is excessive IMHO Most bright metallic plastic finishes are metallised in a vacuum process and are plated rather than sprayed..
  13. You are correct, must have been the angles of the pictures I looked at. Now purchased and awaiting delivery from Lego UK.
  14. I agree, after all this time it has not resolved so it never will be.
  15. I have resisted buying this as it seems to me that it unfinished, these mods reinforce this belief, no brakes no mudguards etc etc. It seems like it could have been a lot better straight out of the box. Disappointing.
  16. No wider rear tyre no purchase. Stupid Lego rear tyre width. Makes the whole model look totally unrealistic.
  17. On my street legal bike (Yamaha YZF-R1) its 1 up and 5 down, 1 N 2 ... 6 I will buy this model when a post has a link to a Chinese rear tyre that fits and is a more realistic width. Sportbike rear tyres are massively wide in comparison to front tyres. This Lego model is completely let down by the skinny rear tyre IMHO.
  18. Having initially been put off buying this model due to the frogeyes I have now purchased and used the X4 dish mod for the headlights. I was also unhappy with the ride height but despite not liking the instafix suspension mod I have ended up using it. What were Lego thinking of when they released this unrealistic model?
  19. Great model. Was this the same Brunel that designed ships and bridges etc?
  20. If it looked like the picture in the first post we would all be happy but it won't look like that unfortunately.
  21. Thank you, I would have posted the picture here but whatever way I try the file size is too big.
