For the Model or the Parts ?
Kronos replied to Phantom59's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I buy first for the model, then for the parts. I don't buy every model, every year. Just the ones I really like. I, however, will buy any Technic model if it's a great deal cost to parts ratio. Rare, bulk, and specific color parts are available through S@H and BL. -Mike -

8070 Spider
Kronos replied to therealjustin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Can't notice them!? I noticed them right away. I am a Supercar guy, though. The MOD's are very well done. I MOD many of my sets, and there truely is a fine line between keeping the integrity of the set or destroying it. Well done indeed. -Mike -

Buying new motors
Kronos replied to Tacker's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I also spoke to lego direct about the new motors. I was told to wait until they were available on the S@H website, even if they become available through customer service. Reason: The motors will be considerably less expensive once they hit the website. Example: The M-motor is $7.49 on the website, but almost $20 if you call and give them the part#. A rep told me this. I don't know the reason for the $ difference, but I guess I'm waiting until March. -
Tumblers and a Bat!
Kronos replied to mahjqa's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@mahjqa; You've got mail, again. I took Pauls advice and sent it as a "gift". Thanks for making the instructions. In fact, thanks to all who take the time and effort to make them. -

I agree. Patience. Something that's in short supply now-a-days.
