  1. Fumbling around in his magical invisible, bottomless backpack, Thormanil mixes his Deew Drink in with one of the small ales, and then tries to pour the last bit of it into the second small ale, just in case there's enough left to have an effect. He then hands the drinks to the men, a certain bounce in his step and twinkle in his eye. "Bottoms up! Cheers, to Akkaba! "
  2. "We're the Party Committee! You're all working hard while everyone else is celebrating that wedding, so we're here to bring a bit of the fun to you. Your guard up front will tell ya, we've got food and drink aplenty. Well, we did. We were on our way from the Apothecarium when a pack of vagrants, calling themselves heroes of 'eroica, or some nonsense, ambushed us and took most of our, no, your food! But what we have left, you're more'n welcome to have at!"
  3. Three for one at this point is one heck of a trade. "Wait, don't you mean 'two for two'?" No, of course not. York is dead, we should be rejoicing! With any luck, Jones' information from last night will make up for the loss of our protector. If he'd gotten a Purist result, I'd think he'd have just brought it forward off the bat, so I doubt it will be that easy if and when he shares that publicly. Did you pull another 'Unknown'?
  4. "Well, obviously! But that part comes after we get him nice and toasted! You think Id ented into a drinking contest purely for the sake of drinking? At leaat, not while there's a task at hand.. "?
  5. /shakes fist at Q4 party Also, it would be a long way down the line, but Id love to have the chance to use the blue and red assassins in an extended plotline. Perhaps once I get a basic quest unded my belt. I've batted around lots of ideas for quests, written up basic outlines and flowcharts, trying to find something that I can both manage as a quest, and actually build sets for. I've mostly scrapped the ideas I originally proposed to Sandy a while back and am toying with one that I think could be "the one", considering the story, playability, hostability, and buildability (taking into account the theme of pieces that I have available and my own ability to design and build the sets). Im taking a trip home to maryland in december, and while Im home, Im going to find a way to get my entire collection up to alaska, heh.
  6. "Nah, we need to find him and challenge him to a drinking contest! These nameless goon types always love a good drink." Thormanil says, grinning.
  7. Damn you, JMB, you bumped me off the first page of the statistics!

  9. "Hey, hey now! Go easy on the poor guy. I'm sure he's had a long shift and would like nothing more than to kick back and enjoy a warm meal! And while he's eating, perhaps he could turn a blind eye whilst we poke around, hm?" Thormanil winks at the guard as he presents him with a Small Ale and Turkey Leg. "It never hurts to have a bit of extra food on hand to share with your new friends!"
  10. Wow, I actually have to applaud you on a well founded argument, chock full of examples and explanations. Sarcasm aside, I think you've raised a really good case here. There's a couple weak points to it, but over all, you've sold me. Vote: Lieutenant Francis (AwesomeStar) "A long way of saying that he's going along with the current bandwagon along with known scum, Gordon and Rockford." Wouldn't everyone who hopped on that bandwagon be guilty of the same? "Joining Vanderbilt in asking for how Dragonator and CJP got on my list" To be fair, *I'm* still curious as to how York got on your list. I'm sure it's just because I'm not in the know, but it seemed as if, along with damning Gordon, the tree stump secretly and simultaneously relieved York of all suspicion, heh. "At this point in the day Hornby had already achieved his majority to be lynched (including Vanderbilt) so there was no risk to spreading out the scum vote, see how day 1 is a prime example of the scum not being afraid to spread their vote." Damned if he jumps on the popular vote, damned if he doesn't, eh? "I addressed the folley of this attitude in my reply to Vanderbilt but it seems like you can't tell a scum not to act like a scum." Wholeheartedly agree. The rush to vote that we saw was just beyond stupid. I quoted the folks who voted without any real reason other than that Wilder had started the vote. Of those four, one is supposedly the protector, one's supposedly the investigator and my suspicions are never taken seriously about the third (I feel like I'm harping on this point. /whistle). That leaves Francis. It really didn't take much thought to see that the 'case' against Wheeler was paper thin (Remind me, why did you vote for him again? Heh), and yet everyone was jumping at the bit to vote for him. "Decides not to come out with his suspicions, the least he could have done is deliver them to a relatively confirmed townie" And to think, I wrote up a big speech because he accused me of being a hypocrite. But really, I doubt he delivered them to a confirmed townie at all. I'm quite sure that Wilder would have 'encouraged' him to raise his suspicions in public instead. And since Wilder didn't come here saying "Francis came to me in private and I convinced him to go public, but he didn't actually go public', I think it's safe to draw the assumption that Francis definitely didn't approach Wilder, heh. **Sarcasm because in the past you've had rather weak arguments and just said 'because it fits my list' I really do approve of your case against Francis.
  11. Well, true, it might not be the easiest. I don't think that discredits it as an easy role to fake, though. As for claiming vanilla, well, I'd say that it seems most vanillas have been kept out of the loop, but you said you've kept yourself out of the core as well, so that kind of dismisses the point.
  12. Like I said yesterday, claiming protector would be, in my mind, one of the easiest illusions to keep up as a Purist. Just tell your team not to kill whoever you're supposed to protect, and you've supposedly done your job.
  13. Ahh, I was in souper-srs-mode and missed the humor. Re-reading it now with that in mind, I'm chuckling . I don't mean to pry, but if you've got a PM-chain that shows you repeatedly asking for Wilder to target Vanderbilt, it'd all but put to rest my concern that you're bluffing your role. Or if Wilder can at least confirm that you've repeatedly requested it (multiple nights). That is, of course, unless you knew that he wouldn't listen to you, and so by repeatedly urging him to kill Vanderbilt, you were really just drawing attention awa...ahhh, nooo, the wine is back!
  14. "What?! I do no such thing! I want to hear him beg!" He laughs for a minute before healing Elgar. Thormanil purchases 4x Small Ale, 2x 2pc&biscuit and 3x Turkey Leg for 15 gold, then looks over the selection of elixers and concoctions. He puts down another 70 coins in exchange for 2x Smelling Salts, 3x Jinxy Juice and 1x Deew Drink. "If we're gonna be wantin' any more Phoenix Essences, could one of you all pick up the tab? I've already burned through half of what I brought with me and I don't imagine I'll be chuggin' these things any less as we go on." he says, as he washes down a Turkey Leg with a Small Ale.
  15. ...Very interesting kill. That's our first Purist killed without a lynch, isn't it? Way to go, you're doing better than our vig! Not that I really need to reply to this anymore but yes, I think I would. I'd rather sit out another vote than jump on yet another of Wilder's stupid wagons. Speaking of rickety, set-up wagons, Wilder, perhaps you could go one day without trying to bait people with that? Try throwing out a name with some actual support behind it, rather than a weak argument just to see who hops on (hint: it doesnt' seem to have worked yet). You said it yourself, you want to see people bring up their suspicions in public rather than coming to you in private, so why the hypocrisy? It seems obvious to me that you are using someone you mildly suspect (if at all, I sometimes wonder) in the hopes that you can bait someone who you suspect more heavily to jump on the bandwagon. Why not just voice your concern over the heavier suspicion in the first place? If you're right, isn't there a good chance that others will have seen similar signs? You'll (hopefully) get solid reasons for votes because other people also strongly suspect whomever. Throwing a bait-and-switch target out there early has only really proven to stifle conversation as folks vote for that person, but only have your own reasons to go off of. I can't really blame you for the silence today, but it certainly isn't helping anything. Of course, the alternative would be for the rest of you (well, not all of you) to stop falling for it and giving Wilder an excuse to set you up as a target due to obvious bandwagoning. Or at least give a half-decent reason for your vote.. *cough* Or maybe they just came to you because yes, you are the vig and they wanted you to consider a kill-target without raising awareness in public. Assuming that any one of these names brought to you was correctly suspected as a purist, unless we got the lynch (which, okay, there's a pretty good chance that'd happen), then we'd have only managed to alert the purists to the fact that we were onto one of them who likely wasn't in danger previously. Additionally, you're (supposed to be) one of the trusted/trustable loyalists, is it so unreasonable for them to want to bounce a suspicion off of you before going public with it? It's something of a moot point now but as I saw it before she got blasted, Vanderbilt was engaged in a back-and-forth with Holloway which drove Vanderbilt to elaborate on her suspicions and vote. If she hadn't turned out to be a Purist, I'd have believed that it was the exchange with Holloway that prompted her vote before hearing a defense from Wheeler. If you want to talk about fishy voting patterns, then how did Holloway's go unnoticed? Less than an hour passed before he decided that he did not, in fact, want to participate in the bandwagon that he had just recently contributed to. There was no defense from Wheeler in that period of time either (in fact, even less happened between his vote and unvote than between Vanderbilt's first suspicions and her vote), but he's allowed to have a change of heart without obvious cause, while you called out Vanderbilt for the same? The initial argument against Wheeler was a weak one at best, as was admitted by Wilder himself. I'll grant that he did give a pretty reasonable response to the points raised by Vanderbilt, but even those (stretch-theory and the voting pattern) weren't particularly strong supports for accusation either. But a hell of a defense? I dare say, you doth bestow upon him too much credit!

  17. Well, we've got the investigator's results for the night and the two kill targets. Unless you're asking for the Purists to come out and say "Oh, yeah I targeted ____ for ____", then I'm not sure what else you want?
  18. "Urrghhh... I feel like I just ran into several solid brick walls! And not a single upgrade was had that day.. heh. Now, about this lazy orc.." Thormanil uses a Phoenix Essence on Knifk, and hopes that he has a chance to get another before the inevitable B^3.
  19. "Sure, but I smack people with the blunt side of it! Hah hah!"
  20. "Well, I attacked with my Tailblade last round, and my Totem didn't receive an upgrade. This round, he's back to teaching us about unarmed combat, so none of us will be wielding any weapons.." See: "All heroes who don't willingly drop their weapons feel compelled to do so.", round 1 results
  21. "Augh! Should play that song during a lesson in which we could have a chance at some shiny upgrades! We're all unarmed right now, heh." Thormanil attacks twice.
  22. Thormanil picks up his Wyvern's Tailblade (sharp) and channels shamanistic energies through it to heal himself in the back row.
  23. Unvote: Lieutenant Hornby (Shadows) I can't stay up all night and wait for you all to dogpile me right before the voting closes, while I'm sleeping, so I'll do this while I've still got the chance. The more I think about it, the more I think that lynching Hornby just isn't the way to go. If he's telling the truth, we lose our protector (obviously). If he's a Purist, well, that'd great, but according to my hypothetical scenario from earlier tonight, as long as he's alive and trying to maintain his cover/role claim Wilder will likely remain alive as well. If he's really the protector and we lynch him, then our vig will also become a near-certain target. If he's a Purist and we lynch him, then there's no reason for the Purists to keep our vig alive, because there's no role claim to keep intact. Wilder, unless everything you've told me and everything you've said in these proceedings has been one giant bait (honestly, I wouldn't put it past you, even if you have managed to get your hook stuck in this innocent's cheek by doing so, heh), then you have your own suspicions of Holloway. Please, re-reconsider testing his theory. I thoroughly enjoy living! Notice how Holloway emphasized the point that a godfather who investigates town couldn't be the killer? Your own (alleged) protector has agreed with me that there is, at the very least, the possibility that the godfather could also be the killer. As I've said before, the only difference I can see between his case against me, and the same case against himself, is that he has been investigated and 'cleared' as a Loyalist. Yet he is adamant that a Loyalist investigation must mean that same person can't be the Purist killer. As far as I know, he hasn't been cleared by a role block either, so we can't really test either of us by that anymore. Also, slightly unrelated, but a role cop could be faked easily enough if there was one on Gordon's team who did the investigating for him. Of course, if he was tracked (and I honestly can't remember if he was), that would shoot that theory to heck and back, so.. yeah.
  24. Didn't even think of that, but with the investigator role supposedly changing hands, I definitely wouldn't rule this out as a possibility, either.
