  1. Thormanil returns his focus to Unicorn B, attacking it from the back row.
  2. Thormanil attacks Unicorn A from the back row.
  3. Thormanil repeats his action.
  4. It's been so long since I had bricks at my disposal to just build, not to mention build with a purpose... I forgot how picky I can get. I've built up and torn apart a single location about 3 times now. I think a bricklink order of 1x2 bricks and a bunch of plates/tiles is in my near future, heh.
  5. "Aye aye, Cap'n" Thormanil attacks Unicorn B from the back row.
  6. In the event that Doc doesn't poke his head in either, I'll step up to be our noble leader. In which case the ore, points, and salts shall be held safely in my pack, while the rest of the dogs team can fight over the scraps divide the bombs between themselves.
  7. Said it before and I'll say it again: There is *nothing* wrong with gold, consumables and "vendor trash" as loot. There's so many special effects out there now that 'unique' weapons are almost more common than basic or just elemental weapons. I'll be honest, it's going to be hard to convince myself that any weapon lacking a special effect could be stronger than the utility provided by the stun on the Frozen Saber. It would take a huge WP jump to get me to consider switching. I feel spoiled by it. Everything else seems to pale in comparison. I'd not be surprised if people who have dual-strike weapons or similar felt the same way.
  8. Thormanil attacks Aepyornis C from the front row with his Lightning Totem
  9. Thormanil attacks Aepyornis B from the front row with his Lightning Totem.
  10. "Bah, fine. Back to the birds." Thormanil changes his target to Aepyornis A from the back row.
  11. "That's more like it!" Thormanil attacks Silver Carp B from the front row.
  12. Thormanil attacks Silver Carp A from the back row.
  13. Short version, posting from phone. I would love to host /participate in an open world quest. But its just too... Open. Jpw do you reward it? In a small group, tabletop setting , you can grant rewards of xp for roleplaying, decision making, etc, and all within the space. Of a few minutes. For a setting such as heroica, without handpicking your group based on timezone, so that you can all be active at the same time, skiuch decision mang would take close to a day on average. For such an open world, thats a huuuge time commitment to a non-battle missiokn. goal. How dp you reward that? Logic puZles and time traps might not pose the same quest-ending potenential to a hero, but should they still reward experience? Would rogues be deterred from such a quest, since. They can earn gold arguably more. Effkcieny in a typical battle. Scenario? Would mages be preferred for their elemental prowess? Spelling errors to be fixed next time i get on a computer, but the point remains--who could truly handle such qn unndertaking in the environment that heroica provides, hero or host?
  14. Oh, duh, of course. I saw the attacks drawn to you this round and ignored the effect for the coming round.
  15. Thormanil attacks Aepyornis B from the back row. I must have missed it, but how is it that only one of us risks being slowed?
  16. Thormanil will attack White Rabbit C from the back row.
  17. Definitely was my biggest issue too. But then I brought up 2 suitcases of bricks (~80 lbs) from home this weekend when I flew back to AK. Time to get to set building for my proposed quest!
  18. "B it is, then!" Thormanil changes his target to White Rabbit B from the back row.
  19. A long, long time ago, there was a moderately popular Playstation 2 port of EverQuest. I played that for a while and, over the course of my time spent there, acquired one particular set of robes that I really liked. I happened to get them from an igloo camp with a bunch of skeletons. The Robes of Thormanil. They were a mid-level item and didn't have incredible stats, but I kept them nonetheless. Never saw much else on "Thormanil", figured it was just some flavor text referencing an otherwise uninteresting sorceror in the EQ-verse. Only just learned that there's apparently a lost city of Thormanil somewhere in the lore. Been using "Thormanil" for most of my fantasy characters, I just like the name. I had a "Thormanil" Tauren Druid back in early days of WoW and a Dwarf Priest of the same name on a private server. The priest started the "Nihai" trend as his surname, because, I mean, he was a dwarf, standing no more than a knee-high! Since Thormy here is the runt of his tribe, the name fit, too.
  20. Thormanil will attack white rabbit E from the back row
  21. Psh, speak for yourself. They're fairly quick easy battles that are getting us some nice exp, plus I'm up an extra 100+ gold from just that one fight. Next time I run through here for a clearing run, I'll definitely be doing it with a healthy stockpile of Nostrums, maybe even Smelling Salts. The fight we're in now is worth 209 per shield right now. I, for one, am loving it
  22. Thormanil attacks White Rabbit D from the back row.
  23. Shoulda seen that coming. Flare has control of Thormanil within reason Also, you posted as I was finishing up my post. That's all, heh.
  24. I'll be flying from MD to AK today, so fingers crossed that I don't hit another 8 hour delay somewhere. I'll check up on the thread between flights, but in the event that we get moving in here, Flare can declare my actions. Oh, hey, lookie at that, it's Flare!
  25. "Hmph, you all and your defenses. Almost makes a fella' jealous." Thormanil will do nothing from the back row. At least the frogs' specials act as a deterrent to any gold grubbing
