  1. *jingles bigger bag of Gold*
  2. Woah woah woah. Elphaba's already left? By my watch, it's still the 30th of April (Granted, there's different timezones to account for). I've been swamped with school work and just this morning took a pre-finals week exam, turned in two final lab reports... etc. I was hoping to come back and sort out my shopping list before she took off. Is there any chance that Thormy could chase down Elphaba before she makes it too far out of the city limits?
  3. Y'know, the thought just occurred to me, but which of the Dragoon's attacks would be considered melee? I'm thinking only rolls of 2 & 3, because rolls 1 & 4 mention the damage coming from the Dragon.
  4. 'Tis true. I believe that the Fields is one of the best quests, in that regard. When there are notable drops, it's gold and consumables most of the time. Occasionally there's a solid-but-nothing-amazing piece of equipment. Some cheap vendor-stocked artifacts and gems. I think the Dragon Lance is the only top-shelf item we've seen come out of the Fields so far, and rightfully so--it came from a boss (and required at least, what, six? battles to have the chance at acquiring). I would have really liked to have checked out one of the later locations just to get a taste for the loot there, but hey, that's what the teleportapple's for. I know that not every fight will be composed of a bunch of nameless guards, and that's fine. But not every special enemy with a name has to drop some unique loot. I'll never stress it enough--gold and consumables are truly the best loot, because they keep the unique loot just that -- unique.
  5. Confession: I miss the Fields already. I could have done with a bit fewer brute force battles and some more strategy, but I'm in an RP lull. I just want to roll and fight and loot and rinse and repeat. I'd love to hop right back in, but I also want to stick around in the Hall a while, see if any interesting quests pop up. Plus, I've got a busy summer lined up, so... Bah. Decisions.
  6. The sheep had obviously been corrupted. They were working alongside the direwolves!
  7. Can I have your tail, too, then?
  8. Lucky Dice would be fine if the "Lucky" was counterbalanced by, say, "Fragile" and was ineligible for scroll-imbuements, so that you could never nullify the weakness. That's the real problem, as I see it; there's no drawbacks attached to most of the stronger items. E: Jeez, y'all are so eager to level up. I need to level down. Can't be going dragoon (should I ever get the rep) with my dragon refusing to cooperate!
  9. Thormanil trades 110 GP for a Teleportapple and Medal of Glory, leaving the remaining GP for another time. Thanks for the great run, folks. Was a blast, I'd run the fields with you all any time!
  10. Let's do it again!
  11. Seconded, thirded, and fourthed.
  12. 17 thread notifications. Y'all are ridiculous. Thormanil stretches, yawns, and recedes to the back-back row to relax while the wardens handle things.
  13. "Oh, right, Free hits and such. Bah!" No pun intended. Honest. Thormanil downs a Grand Potion instead of attacking.
  14. I'd be entertained, heh. Thormanil attacks Direwolf B from the back row.
  15. Thormanil switches his focus to Direwolf B, attacking from the front row.
  16. It's not Thormy's fault that dragonkin tend to have large, naturally weaponized tails that just so happen to make for perfect weapons! One day, I'll cobble together a MOC of where ever it is Thormy's living in Freeport, and I'll be sure to include a gallery of these trophies on the wall.
  17. Slight adjustment based on facts.
  18. Thormanil steps into the front row and charges at Direwolf A.
  19. It's the title. Everyone now sees "Dragonslayer" as "Pushover-slayer" so they want to be the heroes that are worth something!
  20. If I can weigh in, I certainly don't mind sharing some of my spoils with my party. We're a team and we all bring various things to the table. I couldn't go on looting sprees without you all, so I've got no problem sharing, especially when we just had a fight that burned through lots of consumables that folks will want to replace. That said, I'm with Doc: Loot won't always be evenly split, that's just the nature of the beast and I'd hate to see a rogue's new toy held for ransom just because they've been fortunate with their rolls throughout the quest (or had a preexisting surplus of funds). So, consider this a combination of the following: -Repayment for consumables used -Thormy's/My generosity towards Benji/Flare because this would be a powerful weapon for a future Dragoon, which I know Flare's been considering and finally, -Benji/Flare's incredible generosity and selflessness in sharing the 600 gold recompense that Thormy would have given directly to him, with the rest of the party! "Let's go kill somethin' else, I'm still on a bit of an adrenaline rush from all those stims!"
  21. 400, eh? <Insert Fry-"Not Sure if Serious"-meme> Thormanil fishes into his bottomless bag and grabs a large handful of coins. He passes out 125 gold to each party member. Yar, I know it's a valuable piece, that's why I'm wondering. I'll start at 125, I've got to run to class. Deliberate among yourselves, I'll check back in later today.
  22. You can't leave it up to me to hand out my coins, I'm terrible with loot distribution! Can we ballpark here? Help me out! Haha Also, Doc, you sly dog.
  23. Exactly what I was hoping for, woo!
  24. "Oh Benji, y'moneygrubber. How much are you lookin' to roll me for?" Thormy chuckles
  25. Hm, you're right. Perhaps we'd be better off just exploring the new region, if we stay a little longer, that is.
