I like the Spider Mech..kind of. Great figures (Bo Katan). Build looks different, but thought it would be more of a rusty dirty color. Will wait for reviews as usual.

Mine arrived last night after ordering on Saturday evening upon VIP release (due to timezone changes in US).

Not to dismiss anyones woes, but mine should arrive tonight. GWPs arrived yesterday. I think like anything, the arrival times are varied.

Probably a variety of factors: anticipated sales and interest, does it fit within current product objectives, can it be accommodated within the planned portfolio (similar to the previous point).

Anyone notice in the brick fanatics interview, the designers say the white haired dwarf is "definitely not Gloin"?

I am in disbelief at the number of pieces in that build. Looks wonderfully complex and resembles the ship fantastically well.

Wow, well this was certainly unexpected. I really enjoy when this like this rarely happen - random reveal not leaked or rumored beforehand. Just find it fun for the community personally. As for the SSD itself, it seems like a very nice set. Especially if those parts are all printed. I'd like to see it in person and maybe buy it at a local retailer on sale, ideally not a LEGO exclusive. The grated tile on the display seems like an ideal spot for a figure, wish Ozzel or Piett was included. Also, it seems rather like a GWP for the X-Wing. That would have been excellent though a little large. Edited to denote this was not a leak, but an official reveal. Appreciation and credit noted further below in thread.

Hmmm. Not sure about this one. Seems suspect, given username and vague details.

Gonna be honest, the more I look at 10240 (UCS X-Wing - Second Edition), I am really looking forward to the rumored one in May. While the 2013 version is nice, I really hope they did a ground up re-make and not just tweaking the old structure. Hoping for a "glow-up" similar from the first to second UCS Y-Wing (though that may be admittedly ambitious).

Depends on the set. For modular buildings, yes. Star Wars system sets, yes. UCS, probably not.

Does it seem like too many pieces for a Death Star? Just a gut check for me.

What is considered the old helmet? Just curious. I never understood the attention to doors on the gunship, thought they have all been fine, except the UCS one which is pretty good. Just my take. Wondering if someone can help me understand, thanks!

Yeah that is my thought as well for the second easter egg. The first being the prop which was never shown in the films. Gold compass / astrolabe / sextant looking thing with a stand.
