I am excited! Really hope this is true. If it is minifigure compatible with a decent line-up, easy way to use my VIP points that have been accrued. Barring anything unexpected about the set. Totally missed out on the line before, but would love to have a Star Wars, NASA, LOTR collection.

I agree with this and you said it more directly than I did. I hope that SW remains safe, because IF (and I don't believe it to be real) the Chewbacca thing ends up being true, that seems baffling to me.

Probably, yeah haha. Why I believe it's not at all true. The only part that gives me pause is it may fit with the odd (in my opinion) Marvel D2Cs the later half of this year.

Pretty stoked about the dual fighter set. I thought it worked great for Rebels and looking forward to this one and the TIE bomber. Might need to get that new TIE fighter even though I don't like the smaller size. Depends on how the other sets look with it I guess. Waiting for more info on the pirate snub fighter. I heard with a heavy grain of salt, that something for May D2C along the lines of a buildable Chewbacca? I highly doubt that is the case. Food for thought I suppose...I don't believe it but wanted to share with the community at any rate.

I really think it's the head. If it stood a little more proud on the model, that would have helped for me.

I agree. I would love to get another UCS Imperial Shuttle (dark ages on the last one) and that being a May set plus an Endor MBS feels right for ROTJ, even though I am kinda over the OT in a way...as far as sets are concerned.

It is in LEGO LOTR that we must place our hope. These D2Cs have really been a miss for me personally, not just limited to Marvel though.

Crazy how many UCS sets are on shelves right now: Landspeeder, AT-AT, Gunship, Falcon, Star Destroyer, Razor Crest...have we ever had that many at once? Plus Mos Eisley and R2 (yes I know not official UCS).

The build looks nice and the internal box artwork is pretty sweet. I wish the front box art was more creative than just the black, but that is an issue I have with most UCS sets now, but not a deal-breaker by any means. The yellow instructions manuals look strange but interesting front matter for sure and again I really like the look of the build. Wish they had the old big spiral bound books but that seems to have gone...maybe to break up the build among sections like seen in the AT-AT. Though they put the engines on backwards in the video...
