Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Childe_Roland replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd be pretty down with that list, however I doubt we'd get some many alter egos. Just seems too much of the same. I know this is a newspaper building, but Lego doesn't include character that make sense half the time, just what they want. I mean think of the last daily Bugle. Spiderman, JJJ, Nova, Doc doom, and someone I'm forgetting. Just really who knows. But again, if that's what we get I'm not complaining. -

Not to say tempering expectations isn't a good idea, but Bohner implied the minifig count was much higher than 14, also Brick Clicker reported it as 25 in his latest video, andbhes generally pretty reliable. Rumors still for sure, but not completely without backing. As to the other characters, I'd love to get Aunt May, MJ, Gwen, any assortment of characters who work at the bugle. Although with the more adult themed heroes they've been going with, I'd love it if they went all out with that and make blade, Electra, Jessica Jones, etc. Really tho, even at 14 characters with only punish and DD it's a total winner in my book. Pretty sure we're about to have a new all-time best Marvel Lego set. -

I think it'll be based on how well this wave does. While not everyone loves everything, the general concensus seems to be this is a general improvement, and almost everyone is planning to get something, if not the whole wave. Granted, this is a small portion of the Lego community, but I think we are somewhat representative. On the assumption it does well Lego has every incentive to keep going. Maybe not so many sets next wave, if the movie lineup get too crowded, but I would not at all be surprised to see 2-3 sets next year and the year after that are legacy. I mean think about Star Wars. They do the majority of their sets off the OT. The infinity saga is the OT of Marvel. Who knows though, TLG does weird things. -

No idea regarding Fulcrum, they usually have good info. The 25 figures was from an account that I wasn't farmilar with. They don't seem like a troll account, but they didn't look like a regular leaker either. I would love to get 25 figures, but I wouldn't hold your breath for that just yet. If 25 is anywhere close for the minifigure count, I'm starting to think of mos eisley cantina. If we get the Marvel version of that I'd be pretty thrilled. -

Alright, I'm curious what the thoughts here are. Do we think Daredevil will be designed like black panther, his mask painted on his head and the horns atop his head, or are we leaning towards a molded piece, something like Cap's helmet for for the mask and a full Matt Murdock faceprint underneath? Personally I it just depends how many new molds Lego might make for the set as a whole. Daredevil so far is the only confirmed character that we are getting that hasn't been made before in any form (excluding punisher, but we already know he doesn't have new molds), so a new mold could be in order. Honestly might just depend on whether there are any future plans to make daredevils in other sets. I don't have my hopes high, but I don't see it as completely unlikely either. Though Lego might just be lazy - this is marvel after all. -

Oh, not much. Just got both parts of the hall recently. The only additions I've made are the venomized Iron Man and the Invincible Iron Man from the Detroit Steel set. I've got a lot to go, not sure how completionist I plan on being. I'll see as I go. Thanks! -

I guess the reuse would be disappointing if you bought the previous set in came in, but I'm kinda glad that it's the same one, so I don't feel like I have to buy both, as I've recently gotten sucked into building a hall of armors... -

Where did he say that? I didn't see that on his story, though I may have missed it. -

Thanks! I only follow FalconFan1414, so I miss stuff in stories a lot. Sounds interesting? Not totally sure what to make of it, a surprise CMF? A bricktober pack? Maybe pictures of the Marvel CMF? -

I didn't see anything on insta that referred to Minifigs? Is this in someone's story? -

No idea the likelihood, but I've seen several people mention Eleckta. I would love to get her in this set. Unless they start making these characters regularly, I'd say this would be the only chance at her for a long time. Honestly though, whatever else we get, I'm absolutely thrilled and happy with getting Daredevil and Punisher. Both are excellent figures that I will adore having. Anything else is just icing! -

I was hoping 14 was on the low side. Man, unless something is really poorly done, this is setting up to be the best Marvel set ever, possible Lego set ever, although I'll withhold judgement on that until I see the final product. I wouldn't even mind some civilians just to fill it in, but man, rare heroes are better. I might have to buy two of these from the sounds of it -

Seems like a lot of people don't like Thanos, but I have to completely disagree. I think he's the highlight of the new compound set. He's 1000% better and more accurate to any movie version than what we've previously seen. The set as a whole is wonderful. I mean we're getting the main villain and the trinity in one set?! Plus ant-man, scarlet witch and black panther? This is a nearly perfect set for what it is and sets a great precedent for the future. 9.5/10, day 1 buy! -

I think the Iron Monger looks good, but is really oversized. I think a bold like Detroit Steel would have worked size wise better. But all in all not the worst thing ever. It sure if I'll get this, probably jot a day 1 for me. -

I seem to be in the minority, but I like it quite a lot. It looks way better than I was afraid it might. Not sure if I'll buy it, but definitely interested. -
FRIENDS 2021 - Rumours & Discussion
Childe_Roland replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
There probably aren't as many iconic locations, but I can think of a few that were important enough or in it enough thst Lego might consider. The Beachouse, when Pheobe meets her real mom and Rachel and Ross get back together, Ross's museum, as Ross and Rachel's first date was there, plus a fair bit of time was spent there. Could include a classroom for Ross to teach in on the side. One of Joey's plays/movie sets, a small set with Pheobe and her messus table, Rachel and/or Chandler in an office. Also some thing like football in the park is pretty iconic, or maybe Joey and Rachel on the boat. I realize that these might not have the widest appeal, just spit balling ideas of what could come, if they do indeed make this a fuller wave. -

Yes, except for the fact I probably won't be able to buys there for more like 80 days (in the US) , but my hype has cooled off substantially. Honestly seeing those blurry pictures have me enough sense that I'm satisfied with what these will be. I am looking forward to the Bugle though! That's a midnight day 1 buy for me, unless there is something reaaaaalllllyyyy wrong with it. -

I wouldn't say the set isn't AFOL in mind. I think a lot of AFOL's like minidolls. This is Lego's way of testing just how much interest is there. If this sells well and the feedback is from adults, then they will probably have more minidolls D2C's in the future. I'm not especially interesting in minidolls, but just because you and me aren't doesn't speak for the community as a whole. -

I only had mild interest in this set. Seeing it now, I feel they did the best they could, but it just seems a little off to me. Can't quite place my finger. It'll be a pass for me, but I'm sure anyone who was excited for this will not be disappointed. Also, while minidolls don't interest me, I applaud Lego for catering to more of their fan base. I'm sure how well this set does will be a gauge for if minidolls have a future place in D2C's. -

I'm honestly a bit glad that we in America have a delay. I was having to decide between The Daily Bugle and this wave, but now I can spread it out and have a chance to breathe. The only thing that could be bad about August is if the Harry Potter D2C actually turns out to be something interesting, then I'm back to square one. -
Certainly not confirmation, but I'd say we're a fair bit past wild speculation. Seems to me a good likelihood we're getting something.

Too tough to tell from the picture whether it is or isn't included. I hope it is, it's a much needed piece. -

It's disappointing that we have to wait until August, but damn if I can get the Bugle I'll hold out for now.
