So you want to be called AFODL ?? Adult Fan Of Digital Lego ? Or perhaps ADLF ? Adult Digital Lego Fan.. let's see... You may call me DALF then Dutch Adult Lego Fan !! Skip the "Lego " !! bit DAF is better !! No seriously .. I think the term AFOL is a very broad term for us, and it's a good one. Adult Lego Builder ? Adult Lego Collector ? Adult Lego Moc Builder ? Nah... just an AFOL -
sadly it happens on "Martkplaats" more than you think I was conned out of € 150 for a WII a few months back.. With that in mind I'm even more careful about doing stuff on the internet. I guess you can even report the fellow to the Marktplaats staff aswel. If he has a bad reputation , he will be purged from Marktplaats, sadly that will not prevent him of making another account and selling on Marktplaats in the future . Hope it will work out for you !!

Nicely done ! I like the way you build up the sides of the ship ! grtz Saint

Round towers can be build in various ways , Tazzy , they're tough though... First you have the 1x2 / 1x1 round method . making a circle as small as 7 wide. Check this folder for some backward engineering : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=207904 you can also do the 1x3 / 1x1 round approach.. this is for larger towers... Brickshelf hosts a lot of good building ideas and techniques , just take your time to look closely, then you can figure them out on your own. Good luck !! grtz Saint

I'm trying to be civilized in my opinion , that's why I say sorry. I don't want to be rude . I see a lot of good builders making army stuff from scratch and a lot of really poor excuses for it as well , I guess this is the latter. Even to make things worse, its made of "bricks compatible to the famous building blocks" . IMHO , clone brands should not be allowed here . period . really . grtz Saint

I really don't want to hear about some megablocks thing sorry... I find it disappointing and rude to put such thing on a forum about LEGO sorry .

I see megablocks.... .. Well, obviously I see megablocks or something else than LEGO , but I cant see anything custom build in the photo. Saint.

Hm... buy your kid his own LEGO sets.. I think that is the answer .. not as crude as it sounds, but I don't share my stuff with anyone ! . Grtz Saint

Hi Folks ! I've got a few series 5 minifigs I want to trade for some other figs. I really really want clone troopers and sorts , and I don't need these figs. I've got : 2 lumberjacks ( I love the axe ) 1 school kid 3 clowns 3 royal guards 1 gangster 4 zoo keepers ( monkey ) 2 boxers 1 Eskimo 3 fitness girls 2 Egyptian queens 1 snowboarder 2 detectives 3 cave womans 2 guy in t-rex suit I want : Mostly normal regular clones but these figs are on the list to : Eeth Koth , Quinlan Vos , Clone Commander Wolffe and Wolfpack Clone Trooper, from the 7964 set and young Anakin Skywalker, Sebulba, Watto, Wald and Obi-Wan Kenobi from the 7962 set. I really want to trade only in Europe, shipping to the USA or other overseas country is pricey as hell .. and I want to keep the cost down. Thanks in advance , Saint

Hmmm ... Build spaceship , get there in 2016, get minifigs back ! This could be a very interesting sales pitch, 3 figs cast in aluminium , the plastic counterparts in a box with a NASA-LEGO patch, or something like that, nice promo !

Looking for some help with part of a MOC
Saint replied to Legoman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I took a look at it and I thought of wheels ! I see 10 smaller wheels round a bigger wheel, incased in a big wheel... Now this might sound simple, but I try to break it down to the basics. I take 10 wheels like these : put them around a radar dish like this one ( or perhaps like this one ) .. The outer circle build in bricks with slopes and cheese slopes and even a little snot and a lot of trying ! The bigger 10x10 insert can be build up with some smaller work from the centre out , the smaller has that to an extend, not to fancy though ... Its something I guess .. there's more possibility's but this one came to mind . It's a complicated window, perhaps search brickshelf for that big church somebody did in Germany a while back, perhaps that can help. ( can't remember that particular folder ). Good luck with the build , hope to see it soon !! Grtz Saint. -
Exo-Force 7707 Frontline Barricade (on-line model)
Saint replied to JunkstyleGio's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Ohw I get it It's not the official set, but a re-do of the 7707 striking venom !! Good luck with that.. the only instructions were on exo-force.com .. so perhaps its better to send LEGO a e-meeuw . A quik search did't get that much info .. so that page on brickshelf is the best you're going to get , sorry. Grtz Saint -
Corrected !

That's why I'll throw in an Imperial blaster from LAS for every guy ! Crazy ? Nooooo Also I want to trade 4 ARF trooper helmets for 4 normal clone helmets ! You would do me a great favour by trading me for this, I'm building a mayor project and I need all the clones I can muster. Thanks in advance , Saint

I just wanted to add this : It took me a long time to accept the new grey.. and to a certain hight I still don't like them. When it became clear to me that LEGO wasn't going to change the colour back I went into a small dark age ( well, not buying LEGO that is ) and became more and more critical of what sets I wanted to buy or not. Buying Bricklink stuff was always " ye old grey " . In 2007 when I participated in LegoLand Germany for the SW event I got a lot of bley beams and plates, so I had to build with them.. ( muffled it away in the model ) As time progressed I only bought the SW sets, sometimes other sets I liked, but never to the extend I bought LEGO in the pré-bley era . I do have a box or 2 with bley now, I build with bley now. But I'm still careful not to mix the two together . The other colours I really don't gave about before, are now more prominent when I buy LEGO. I still don't like them, they feel off and as stated before , they don't snap together like the old grey. And they're more likely to wiggle about and twist in place ( the Dutch word for this is " torderen " ) and sometimes it's difficult to keep everything in place. Grtz Saint.

I adjusted . ( big fat unhappy point ) I do build in bley, but I keep my old and new as separate as possible. Currently I'm in the process of rebuilding / adding stuff to my CCT , but that's all done in bley. I keep the classic grey for other MOC's and sorts. And I try not to mix them, They look terrible next to each other . Also I build more with Tan and green, I want to focus more on the landscape's and such, so the grey and bley I have isn't growing that much at this time . I keep collecting my SW and other LEGO because it's my hobby Grtz Saint

Well... Lets say I've got my own opinions about MOC's. I don't give feedback if the model isn't interest to me, and I think no-one is waiting for my criticism. I don't go running around to score points by sucking up to people and when I do react to a certain MOC I really really like it. I do enjoy reading all of the MOC - topic's ( related or not to my interest ) Your example is nice, but I don't have any interest in your specific kind of building, so I wont be giving you any feedback on your model, sorry Grtz Saint

I saw the handywork of Legopappa in the trench and I loved it ! I'm not that familiar with Mike's work, nor Hein-Jan's work , but I really loved that as well !! So did you become honorary citizens of LL Gunzburg ? grtz Saint

My tutorial: Applying/removing offical TLG stickers
Saint replied to Darth Legolas's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Good old Dutch "calvé pindakaas " or peanut butter .. apply to residue , then let it do it's work for half an hour, remove and voilà ! If necessary do that again . grtz Saint -
Hi, I'm offering to trade 2 of these : and I want to trade them in a set of a moter and a remote. Both sets are working, but one of them is used, and one is brand new still in the plastic ( 1 moter and 1 remote ) No antenna's are included. I prefer to trade them against some SW figs or sell them for € 25 for 1 moter and one remote. Postage is € 5 euro all over the world. Grtz Saint
