It seems this really is one of the best sets lego has produced to date, I'm really happy for anyone that got or will get it. If it hadn't been for the fact that UCS AT-AT releases so close to this set I probably would've gone and picked one myself Speaking of the assembled set do you guys have any display cases in mind? I have a smaller Titanic model on a shelf (around 88 cm long) and since I neglected to dust it regularly it's now almost impossible to get the dust off of it

So now that a few people have the set in hand, what's the building and overall experience? I probably will never have this set myself but it's dang cool and I'm really interested in what people have to say about it

Not really sure how many people will find this info useful but for those in Slovenia (and possibly Austria/Balkan region) Mueller store has BB shuttle on discount for 80€ till the end of the year. Naturally I had to grab one myself. Check your local Mueller toy catalogue before you go shopping though -

I hope that there will be a limit otherwise there will still be supply and demand issue. I'm in no rush with battlepacks really, I want to get UCS AT-AT first and that won't probably happen till January/February of 2022. It is nice that lego is embracing Hoth on a grand scale though -

AT-ST looks okay, I might get it but I'm in no rush for this one. Battlepack is where it's at - I'll need to get a lot of them since the UCS AT-AT will look better with all seats occupied. Nice start of 2022 I might say! -

has there been any rumours about snowtrooper battlepack including any speeder bikes? I'd be nice to have a few extra of those to fill in the UCS AT-AT speeder bike bay -

I'm not sure about previous years but I can confirm that last year they did run double VIP points on black Friday. I bought a few things myself -

I think it's going to be similar to the Titanic situation - first batch will go out in minutes then backorders will kick in. If you are not in a hurry I'd wait for the next double VIP points (if you intend to get it online) or try reserving one in a lego store. I know my local lego store does that but you should give them a phone call or go there in person to book it. I'm not sure if that's a standard practice though -

While I understand some aspects of people bringing the movie accuracy regarding figures in a very premium set the question is: will you display snowtroopers without helmets? I bet most people won't (I sure won't) so it doesn't matter to me You can observe this even in other media - SW games (Battlefront 2 and Star wars: Squadrons) have included female imperial fighters and pilots for example. SW and Disney have taken clear steps towards inclusivity and I personally really don't care as long as there's a good character development backing them up and the characters are interesting. Canon retcons are something else and I take a different stance there (I don't really care about what's being changed, a canon retcon is a canon retcon and this a slippery topic on its own) but to be honest I don't consider female soldiers being part of assault on Hoth a big or important story change. I don't care if a "faceless" army (e.g. stromtroopers, snowtroopers) who are supposed to keep their helmets on almost all the time have different gender prints. Long story short: I don't think it's a bad thing, I don't think it's an important thing and inclusivity mentality from Disney, SW and Lego is here to stay. You are welcome to disagree, everyone has their own opinion. That's all from my side on this matter, please mods don't punish me too severely -

AT-AT is a beaut and I'll have to have it at some point That being said I also don't know where to put it myself. I had an Ikea Besta shelf in mind but it turns out AT-AT is longer than I anticipated. Oh well, back to the drawing board... -

I'm really liking the UCS AT-AT the more I look at it. It's a must buy for me as the vehicle is one of my top 5 SW vehicles although I'm probably not getting it day 1. I'll probably wait for the back-order frenzy to die down a bit For anyone intending to get this set day 1 via lego.com, may the force be with you You'll probably need it, at least judging by the Titanic launch -

I noticed some sort of a tool behind the UCS plaque that seems to help with adjusting the legs, looks like some sort of mechanism is used to keep legs sturdy and you can only move them with that tool it seems -

Am I seeing this right - is there some sort of an adjustment tool appliance behind the UCS plaque that lets you adjust/move the legs? -

Okay selection, if this rumour is true. Pretty much what one could expect. I'm also hoping for a snowtrooper commander and some arm printing although after glancing at some pictures of the characters I can't find any arm insignia or other noteworthy arm details on anyone besides maybe pilot Luke. I wonder if TLG will include a speeder bike? Also, 5 snowtroopers could point out to some pretty sizeable interior space -

plus, there's probably going to be a highly sought after GWP, Anakin's lightsaber (did I stutter?), and anyone wanting to get it day 1 has odds really stacked against them. I may be one of those people, if I manage my budget right this month -

my thoughts exactly. Using a recent example: I suspect Titanic leak happened because one of LAN member's picture of their review copy got out either intentionally or unintentionally. The leak was on the 29th September and embargo got lifted on October 7th however I don't think that Titanic leak happened on the exact date that review copy was received. Taking some time buffer in account I expect AT-AT review embargo lift in less than 2 weeks from now -
thank you!

@VBBN can I ask you for lengths of each individual section? I'm looking into display options and it turns out the only way I can display this set and have it dust-free is by keeping it separated
-
If I may pitch another idea - I'm hoping someone will make the conversion of the Titanic to the Britannic hospital ship with proper colouring and with and with correct accessories like enlarged davits etc. But like you said, even if I do get the model eventually, I'm not the guy that takes this challenge up however I will applaud anyone who does

I'm in the same boat (pun intended) and on the surface it really looks like a tough decision for me. In reality I'll probably get only UCS AT-AT just because the Titanic is so massive and I really have no space left in my room for that behemoth. I know that AT-AT won't be small either but it sure won't be as long and I'll probably be able to squeeze it on a shelf somewhere -
this is it ladies and gentlemen! looks like most of the information we got over the last week was legit. I still cant get over the fact that this set has 14 kilos - what a dense build this must be
