I mean it was as much unknown as Astronomy Tower which was featured only in Half Blood Prince. Speaking of interior, except Great Hall all buidings have kinda random interior which is by no means movie accurate, so they can put basically any rooms into Bell Towers. I believe that Bell Towers were seen mainly in first two movies, specialy CoS where was greenhouses scene. It was also in Prisoner of Azkaban so I would argue that its exterior part had more screen time than Astronomy Tower.

Exactly my words. Maybe if its just one wave I can give those anniversary Hogwarts sets separate shelf so they arent mixed with 2018-2020 layout. But if this thing will go on, I am not sure if I will continue with this theme as I dont want my collecton to look chaotic with mixed styles of sets and remakes because I kinda have OCD

One of these would be more than enough to make me happy with august sets no matter what the rest would be. I dont get that obsession with sand green rly. Dark grey is movie accurate and only the tips of some towers had sand green in the movies. But change of the colors is the smallest problem for me. I am really scared that they wont return to 2018-2020 style of sets and we wont be able to finish our Hogwarts layouts because other sets simply will not fit with it. Yes you can always do some heavy modding but I am not a big fan of that because I like to let sets as they are and only do custom enviroment around them.

Non-minifig scale sets is definition of you will be suprised how bad can it get and you are in for a shock. If we get something like june sets but based more on PoA and GoF I would be more happy than disappointed.

Lol if FB movies didnt do well, why they are expecting Cursed Child to do any better? That book is legit trash compared with the rest of the saga. Also I was just thinking that it has been a really long time since last Lego Harry Potter video game was released and now considering how popular this theme is, do you think we will get remake similar to Lego Skywalker Saga with all movies in one game?
-
Exactly and then there are golden minifigures and maybe special boxes as well which can tell you these are anniversary sets
-
It would be still special if they remade these sets but with modern 2018-2020 build style.
-
June wave doesnt fit with modern HP sets aesthetic either and yet Lego risked that.
-
I would actually like this one...well except brickbuild Dobby. Shell Cottage would be great set to include Bill Weasley, Quidditch remake is fine because you can combine it with old one and Hospital wing set could have Madam Pomfrey minifigure.
-
This is happens when we have no leaks to discuss and we are tired of overtheoryzing what "lower your expectations" could mean about august sets
-
Yes thats the thing, even with him it did bad because overcomplicated story. It didnt affect FB2 but it will FB3 because people who watched 2nd movie only because they were interested in Depps performance as Grindellwald wont be interested in FB3. Maybe you are right that FB2 doesnt stand on his shoulders but I still wouldnt expect next movie to do any better without him.
-
In terms of box office performance, I doubt....
-
Even with Depp who basically carried the whole FB2 movie it wasnt succesful so we can only imagine how bad is FB3 gonna flop without him.

Reading that TLJ is for someone better than prequels just hurts my SW soul but I guess I have to respect everyones opinion :D

It doesnt even suprise me that they are happy with what they are getting. Superheroes sets were never about detailed accurate display models, they were always more for kids and Star Wars, well its somewhere in the middle. But with Harry Potter we got used to almost perfect sets in every single wave since 2018 so its obvious that now when we are getting something like 2001 version of Hogwarts and we hear all those warnings about august sets this thread is feels depressed :D
-
I hope HP will never last forever like Star Wars. At least I hope it stops for like 5-7 years or so after we get everything. I am slowly running out of space :DD
-
How would you make Gringotts able connect to DA while at the same time you would want some extra sets to go under it? What would go under rest of DA buildings? They would just levitate in the air :D But this is the same case with some people who wanted CoS set to be able to go under 2018 Great Hall, its impossible.
-
I quite like june sets as well. I love Hogsmeade, I kinda like bathroom set, Fluffy, Basilisk and other minifigures. The only thing I complain about being bad is Great Hall and Forbidden Coridor build which is just very poor and lacks details. We have been used to some stardard with this theme for last 3 years and this june wave doesnt meet that. I wouldnt have a problem with 2nd Great Hall version or green roofs if the build was decent enough.
-
Yeah I have the same opinion about new Hogwarts sections. They look so bad because they are based on outdated 2001-2002 build design which is also the reason some people like them because nostalgia thing. Yes if anything else this set is all about great minifigures and Basilisk
-
Well it already has it... or at least until now
-
Yeah Hogsmeade looks truly beautiful even on prelim photo so it almost looks like its not even supposed to be part of that wave. If at least half of august sets were on that level (build quality, movie accurate, minifigure selection, new scene) I would be happy.
-
You can get Dobby really cheap from BL and Lucius is coming in some maganize so he will be another easy to get minifigure thats why freeing Dobby set would be such a waste. You got me with this one. Its maybe even worse than brickbuild and microscale stuff because its easy for me to justify not buying those but with playsets I am kinda always forced to buy even those I dont like that much.
-
Speaking about august sets, what would "lower your expectations” mean for you in the worst and in the best scenario? For me the best scenario would mean no DH sets at all and sets would be anniversary ones too. We would get Gringotts but as 129.99 set and it would be based on PS. Other sets would be Whomping Willow but based on POA, Quiddich remake based on POA and smallest set would be Duel lesson with Lockhart. D2C set would be motorized Hogwarts express with Hogsmeade station. Worst case scenario would mean we get buildable Fawkes as 129.99 set, lego chess boardgame set, remake of Hagrids hut and Dobbys release remake from 2010. D2C would be smaller microscale (even more micro than normal micro :D) Hogwarts with castle and entire landscape around it.
-
Speaking of Lego HP videogame it has also nice accurate mould for Crookshanks :D If they could make it smaller for real Lego it would be perfect Its because it would be very strange to have two bathrooms sets in one year with almost same minifigures selection. I think that Cornish Pixie would work great as accessory for Lockhart in CMF... but I doubt he would get spot in CMF series now when he has or will have two versions in sets but hey look how we got Luna twice in CMF and Neville as well so anything possible :D
-
Okay I can accept Durmstrang ship and Hagrids motorbike but some boats or carriages (we already have those because fantastic beasts one can be used for Hogwarts) are quite minor. From creatures there are some still missing in our collection which are Troll, Warewolf, Padfood dog, Cornish Pixie, Mermaid, Ironbelly dragon and suprisingly Mrs. Norris :D
