I remember reading some of the original comic style books lego released and it seems like the pirates are the "Good Guys", but I do remember the catalogs describing the Imperials as protectors of the treasures and explorers of the seas, and the pirates described as "looking to steal the Imperials treasures". So I guess its up to the builder who gets the title of "Good Guy". -Admiral Béjaune

What do you want to see in the next round of the new line?
Admiral Bejaune replied to martinsuper's topic in LEGO Pirates
I would like anything that contains new mocable pieces. More pearl gold pieces would be great! A few new ships would be nice to get more reddish brown hulls on the market.. And a new faction would be nice, but Im hoping we will be seeing new bluecoats in the future. The new sets are nice, but they will most likely be scuttled for future mocs! -Admiral Béjaune -

Very nice work Ralph, one of the best tanks I have seen built out of lego.

MOC British Naval Store House (picture heavy)
Admiral Bejaune replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
It looks great. The details are well done, and you have an impressive army of red coats. I was wondering why you are using the bluecoats flag? I do understand that the British navy uniforms were blue and the Marines uniforms were red, so I understand your idea of keeping the port you are planning historically accurate with having bluecoats as officers. -Admiral Bejaune -
No offense taken, but when I post the official topic there will be detailed pics of the entire ship, there you will see many changes I made to make it my own. -Admiral Bejaune

How many lego system pirate cannon do you own, color carriage, etc. I personally own 48 cannon, Most of them are mounted in red carriages, but I have 6 that are in brown and one green carriage. -Admiral Béjaune

I used hemp string cord (I believe its called jewelry cord) for the rigging of the Sang royal.. It has the right color and most ships where rigged in hemp rope.. I also used the thicker lego system rope for the mainstay and the forestay rigging rope, as they where black from being covered in tar... I doubled the stays up and wrapped them as they are in real life. -Admiral Béjaune

I was wondering when this creation would make its way here. I have viewed this creation many times, and I have to say you did an excellent job. The dark red looks great, as well as the use of the traditional wall pieces. I also like how you created the rolling effect of the ocean, a very nice technique. Also the stairs in the rock faces are a nice touch. Great job! -Admiral Béjaune

Bluecoat in LEGO Battles trailer!
Admiral Bejaune replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is great. I hope it is a sign that the Bluecoats will be released sometime in the future. Ill have to find a way to fit them into my old bluecoats. Ill find a way thats for sure. -Admiral Bejaune -
I have around 35 to 40, mostly brown, but I have plenty red as well. Would love to have some rown (reddish brown) though. -Admiral Bejaune

The detail incorporated into this moc is great, its a very busy day there. The house is very nice and the building technique is simple and effective. I have looked at the interior pics, and I like them except for the bathroom.. I don't think they had working plumbing in that day in age. They had dry toilets that were used. I believe there would be an outhouse somewhere on the estate. Cheers, Admiral Béjaune

My past British ships are scuttled... The HMS Knight and the HMS Aggressor are destroyed. If we are bringing up past ships, then I have one for the FRENCH list, my Le Soleil Royal a 104 gun ship of the line. Here is her link http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=263132. Ah.. I almost forgot the main point of this topic, the Ship wip. She looks good so far. A few pointers, I would make the cannons at least three studs apart, two studs is just too close together. One more thing is I don't know if I like the fort wall bricks above the gunports. I like the color scheme and the headrails look interesting, Ill be waiting to see the final result. Quick question, What color will the cannon ports be? -Admiral Bejaune

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome back. I am happy to be back! My shipyards are very busy at the moment, British beware! -Admiral B
