Another amazingly built ship. You are truly a ship building master. One thing I noticed thought. Didn't sloops of this size have a tiller instead of a helm (wheel)?
-
Oh wow! That is a cool picture. The ship looks great. From what I can see. The curve of the ship is just perfect. How many guns is she? 64 guns. She reminds me of the ship that I have build recently, except mine is around the late 1600's early 1700's and yours is clearly 1800's. Can't wait to see more. -T

Wow just amazing. Your techniques and building style is on a whole 'nother level. Great work.

Carribean Clipper vs the Imperial Flagship
Admiral Bejaune replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
I have a good memory with the clipper, it was the first set I EVER got of pirates when I was in single digits, but as for overall design I voted for the flagship. I love how they have an able-body crewman besides the soldier and officers. -
It doesn't matter what color strips the minifigs have I use them both for my navy ships no matter what country the ship belongs too. There are some pirate minifigs that cannot be used on a navy ship because they are dressed to piraty. If that makes any sense.. And the nicer dressed pirate minifigs are good for the ship's doctor, or a diplomat, etc.

Go to this website... It is the official website of the great ship of the line HMS Victory. Here is the link. http://www.hms-victory.com/ The ship is a first rate ship of the line, meaning it has 100 guns or more. It was Lord Nelson's Flagship. A great ship with a great history. You should defiantly read up on some sailing history! And Teddy there is not much to say that has already been said... The start of this ship is mighty impressive... I can not wait to see the end result. Keep up the good work!

Blue Coats are my vote.

The flags fly the way the wind is blowing.

A good small set if you are looking for extra parts (animals). And I wonder why there is no cutlass (sword) in this set. That is odd.
-
Im guessing that this is a steam frigate. And the Confederate regulars had grey uniforms and the Union had blue.
-
The ship looks great Phred. I can't wait to see the finished result. You have your work set out for you.

Its funny. I say take back the United States when I in fact am a citizen of the United States. I just feel that in the next couple of years the people of the United States will have to take back the country from the government. 2nd Amendment all the way.

Civil War Diorama: "Battle of the Randomness"
Admiral Bejaune replied to Brickadier General's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I love this moc. The detail is amazing and it seem to be historically accurate. I have not seen many War of Northern Progression mocs. I have 15 relatives that fought for the Confederacy so its good to see a Civil War moc. -T -
Retake the United States.

I sometimes turn on my Old Xbox (the original one, not the 360) and put on the very first pirates of the caribbean game. The game has really nothing to do with the first potc movie, but you do run into the Pearl some. Anyways I believe this game is the sequel to Sea Dogs, and you can go to port and walk around and go to various shops. I always go to the tavern because the music there is what I associate with pirates. It historically accurate music too. I suggest that everyone who has an old xbox to find this game... Its cheap, and is a great game with amazing graphics. Its a role playing game with first person views allowing you to walk along the deck of your ship. And there are many kinds of vessels to steal or buy. You can do whatever you want in the game as well. Anyhow I recommend this game for the gameplay and the Music. Here is the box.

I love this set. I remember when my parents bought me this set... I was soooo young. They had to build it for me. It was probably 1991 or 1992. I still have it too, Great set. Lots of memories with this one.

Its a nice set. I would not mind owning one, just for the minifigs and cannon. The base plate is pretty cool as well. Nice review, I gave it a 4 out of 5.

HAHA. This is kind of a dumb post to put in a pirate forum. Of course pirates are better!

Thanks for the words. Cheers -T

I understand that this is a frigate and you arranged it yourself. I am just saying historically, frigates have the majority of the guns on a single gundeck, and some on the quarter deck, depending on how large of a frigate the ship is. And frigates for the most part where flushed decked ships. Here is a link to a non lego model that shows you what I am talking about. http://www.modelships.de/Verkaufte_Schiffe/Diana_1/fg3.jpg With all that said I still really like the design of the ship, And it is well built. -T

Nice work. Looks good. Simple and effective just how a fortification is suppose to be.
