  1. He's not the first. I remember the Footballer/Soccer Player from series 4, which came out before the Super Heroes line, had shoes. I still think that they'll only do it for characters who "need" them. While Batman, Superman, Captain America, and the likes at least have tights over their feet, poor Wonder Woman would be barefoot. I'm fine without boots personally. I wouldn't say it ruins the classic minifigure design, but it doesn't feel as much like a minifigure to me.
  2. I don't think so. Maybe sort of a subtheme, but LEGO has put too much research into Friends just to replace it with a license, even if it is down the road.
  3. Honestly, if the concept art is in the visual dictionary I don't think that they are planning on making that set (anymore, if they were), at least not any time soon.
  4. Good ones Oky and Penguin. I was actually thinking about that the other day.
  5. Beautiful work as always Penguin. I'm not so familiar with some of the video game characters, but they are still great and the Disney ones are just wonderful.
  6. Well thanks. Some of them take a really long time. When I first did Batgirl she took about three two-three hour periods but that's not the norm now. Now I can put a simpler one together in about half an hour (like some of those Flash villains) but a few still take a very long time (I think that I spent almost seven hours total on Hawkgirl). Thanks. As do I. Thanks for the compliments and some criticism. I did do BB before I started modding capes, so I think that I might try whatever he has on his back (I've forgotten) more accurately later (same with Azrael). You are probably right about Stewart too and definitely are about Sinestro. I didn't want to make him purple so that he wouldn't look too much like the video game version, but it's probably for the best.
  7. I guess that these go here rather than in the digital tools section, but if not please move this. Anyway, having missed out on the Batman and Spider-Man lines (I'm not doing any Marvel characters though) I am enjoying the Super Heroes theme despite the rehashes, but there are a lot of main characters missing (which is fine because I wouldn't be able to afford them all if there were any more). I was inspired by some of the customizers here (especially The Penguin) to make my own minifigures, but I don't have the resources (or probably skill) so I started using LEGO Digital Designer and MS Paint to fill the gaps with characters missing from the rehashes like Penguin, Scarecrow, and Alfred or from both themes like Batgirl and Mad Hatter. Eventually it got out of hand and I ended up with over a hundred of these in a few months including characters probably no one has ever heard of (or wants too ). Neither LDD or MS Paint create very clean images, but I hope that you like them anyway. 8. I don't think it means Avengers sets. There is that new Hulk cartoon coming out soon similar to the current Spider-Man one which LEGO might be forced to make sets based on.
  9. I'm definitly not getting my hopes up for the Bat or Tumbler at this point, and the only thing actually guaranteeing I will buy the set is Gordon. I do think that you are right though. And smaller is better. Not only is it more accurate, but it's probably also cheaper.
  10. I really don't see why they can't, but that's just me. We'll see. It may not have been clear from my post, but I also only think there'll only be one set. I'm pretty sure that a less generic one will be sent out in a few days.
  11. Doesn't it already seem a bit strange that we are getting the sole TDKR set about six months after the movie, but another one a whole year later? I'm thinking that the Summer wave will be entirely dedicated to Iron-Man 3 and Man of Steel.
  12. No, it didn't. There was something similar in another set though. I'd doubt that at only 35 pounds, though the way you are describing it (which I have to keep adding salt to) makes me think it's going to cost more.
  13. That's some interesting news, but nothing that nobody had guessed before really. Anyway, I'm looking forward to pictures. To be fair though, I haven't seen many MOCs of the camo Tumbler without decals, paint, or whatever. I don't think it's that much of a surprise. I think that the real surprise is that we're getting it. Probably at a better scale this time too. I hope it won't be too hard to recolor black... Double posts with in an hour merge right? If not, sorry. Preliminary images usually lack final sticker designs and graphics, if they have any.
  14. And what is Ninjago? Isn't it an action-packed theme that's more or less (probably less ) historical theme? Anyway, Chima sounds intriguing. Speederz, not so much.
  15. Maybe because all of the current DC sets were released before the logo change.
  16. I think a reviewer described it as being a "grapple" batarang. I assume you'd tie a string through the hole and tie the other end to...something else.
  17. No, that was actually reused from City sets from a few years earlier. 2005, I think?
  18. Personally I think that the City line is exactly the reason we won't be seeing too many buildings without distinct looks, like Arkham and Funhouses. Even if the style is darker than in City, kids probably wouldn't care so LEGO would risk competing with itself.
  19. Fox owns the rights, so no, we can't. I supposed that it's possible that LEGO could get the Fox license, but there is no point since they have the comic one.
  20. Sorry for not sharing before, that's over a month old. I don't usually keep up with this kind of news since I don't have TV myself.
  21. I believe that was this which doesn't confirm it but only rumors it.
  22. I was wondering the same thing. That's the only explanation I have.
  23. Actually, yes they can. This is the best image I can find where you can see that the recent Lobot minifigure has printing on the side of his head.
  24. I have to agree with you there. I have to disagree with you there. Though I do love most of the video game designs (Flash is really the only one I don't) I don't think that we will see them in that style. Something similar, maybe, but the fact that most of the characters have boots make me think that TT designed them, not LEGO. Sure, Wonder Woman has boots, but she kind of needs them wheras they would just be a nice extra detail on others, but expensive I'm sure. Plus, everyone would complain about Chinese made legs, again.
