Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I don't mean to be rude, but could the people asking Hulk_Smash questions please take it to PM? I don't mean to mini-mod, but it's kind spamming the thread. -
LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Though I love female superheroes, I'm not disgusted by the lack of them. Not at this point at least. In 2013 I will be since I would much rather have Batgirl than another Robin or White Tiger instead of Nova. I myself feel that the DC line was more balanced this first year than many other themes. I mean, if you count Bruce and Batman as one character and ignore the "extras" (guard and goons) the male to female ratio is 2:1. Though that's not how I'd want it to be, that is pretty good. I know that you said female superheroes though and I'm talking about females in general, but I'm just throwing it out there because DC isn't as bad as it could be. I mean, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn aren't any better known than Penguin, Mr. Freeze, or Scarecrow, yet the latter three were postponed and here we are with Ivy and Harley. Marvel on the other hand only has Black Widow. (I'm not counting Phoenix since she isn't easily acquired.) So that ratio that is something I'd like to see change. I'd rather have a damsel in distress on the box than no woman in a set at all though. Honestly, I thought that this theme was only going to last as long as Harry Potter (which is a pretty good run I think) but after thinking about it a bit, I do think it could outlive HP and possibly live on as long as Star Wars, though I'm not counting on that. Sure, there are only so many vehicles to make, but the movies which are coming out will be what keeps it going. I'm just saying that this line can be like Star Wars. So yes, when and if this line becomes founded, and I'm sure the movies will help or even be what allows to become like that (not the comics, I don't think that Marvel starting back with #1s will draw much interest from kids), I think that we will see more women and obscure characters, even though I think that they will still be limited to "damsels in distress" and mostly expensive sets for reasons outlined above by Faefrost. -

I don't really want to jump on a bandwagon, but there isn't enough time left in the day for me to vote later and I don't want the town to go without a lynch, so I'll Vote Jean (Endgame). Sorry Jean, but if we don't lynch, we can't learn from the lynch. -

Maybe it's just because I never got into Thundercats. Though seriously, my first impression was that it seemed dark for LEGO, but I'm not so sure it will stay that way. At least not much darker than Hero Factory. -

Fair enough I suppose. I'm not trying to stop a lynch though. I was only suggesting that if nothing substantial comes up, then I might use my vote that way, not that everyone do that. I don't want the town to go without a lynch, you are right that it is our best weapon, Phil. Anyway, the argument that came up while a was away makes me think I can use my vote well, though I'm still not ready to vote. I'm not saying don't lynch. Yes, but what if all the scum jumped on at once and "our bearded friend" flipped town? -
Legends of Chima 2013
SoupOrFishOil replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wow, that is rather intriguing, and I never feel that way about LEGO stories anymore. I'm still going to take it with a grain of salt, I expect it'll turn out to be just as zany as Ninjago. Well, maybe not that much, but still lighthearted. -

The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )

I'm so glad you didn't wait to post these. I prefer many of these to the last couple of batches, especially Question, Captain Boomerang, and Sinestro, but they are all great of course. -

As dumb as this is (I'm not going to echo others though) maybe some of us using our votes to get others talking wouldn't be such a terrible idea? I'll give people a chance to show up, but unless something big comes up, I think that might be how I'll use mine. -

Oh, Christine that looks heavenly...too bad I'm filled up on floor sausage. Anyway, I'm sure I can "convince" Joe to make some more coffee. All he needs is a little brewing.... -

I find the wink strange too, but could you clarify on this (the bolded part)? I just don't understand what you mean about that since Samantha wasn't talking too Jean at the moment. I'm just trying not to miss anything. And I think now we might be starting to get some good conversations going. -

Oh Pengy, I was so worried that mean, old Batsy sank your submarine on that voyage. Any way, these last couple of batches have been great. Pretty much everyone from the batch before this was excellent, even Star Sapphire. Out of this last one though I especially like Tut's henchmen, Cat-Man, and Flash. 1) I like that you've stuck to Batman so much, but I would like to see Green Lantern and the Legion of Doom, especially Bizarro who has grown on me lately. 2) The more the merrier! I think we can forgive you for letting us see some more of your amazing work. -

Especially since as I recall he said the vehicles were only shapes. Unless it's like the Chima Sspeedorz, I doubt they'll be like that. -

Like you said, probably just a mistake or not updated. Edit: We do know about three in Batman/Mr. Freeze already though anyway, so that should be right. I think that Brickipedia is just trying to generalize things. They are saying that there could be more that we don't know about, but I think you're reading too much into it. -

Probably the Daily Bugle. Either that or a Marvel version of this. Edit: Sorry, I read over that on the list. -

Heh, I'd sooner believe the other guy. The user I think you are referring to has just been reposting what we already know/have assumed. He also said that MoS and IM3 were in the Retailer's Catalog, so take that how you will. Edit: I mean the only reason I think that the second guy would be more accurate is because he is trying to become popular off of reporting rumors as facts a bit after they are confirmed/are already likely to happen. -
Wonderful MOC. I especially like Grodd and how the bananas are all over the place. I do hope that we get these characters some day...this just made me want them more.

Just sent my request. I'm actually glad this was postponed, if it had opened earlier I wouldn't have been able to play or even watch the first few days. -
LDD Update: HF/BIONICLE user's report!
SoupOrFishOil replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I'm not satisfied (I never am) but some new BIONICLE pieces is good. You couldn't make much (or really anything), or at least I couldn't, with the few parts they had.
