The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Same experience for me. I got my batmobile out of sheer luck: I found about 3 polybags in one of my local Walmarts, and it wasn't the one I usually go to. They also had a lot of the Joker target practice polybags. -
I appreciate the sentiments. It really is just a game. It's just sad to see some of our favorites be vanquished. Didn't the clockwork robot lose barely to the yeti? I don't think it was a landslide, unlike the current group.

This is sorta off-topic, but can anyone tell me if it's possible on a PC to play these games in the two-player mode with a joystick extra controller for the second player? I used to play these games alone, but now my wife would like to play along.- 241 replies

I feel you. To make matters worse he gets paired with the space miner. I gave the Alien my vote. After all, he's an instant classic. If things continue to run this way, this sucks: although S6 was either my favorite or one of my favorites, most of my top figures from it (namely Alien and Clockwork robot) won't make it.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Hmmm. Curiouser and curiouser... But I don't think they can make a full Wizard of Oz series. Could it be the case that they are planning on mixing IPs in a single series? That would be interesting. -

Ehhh, I'm not holding my breath. If I recall correctly, they didn't hold back Fox characters from being mentioned. Either way I think we should have a pretty good idea when we watch the full trailer.- 241 replies

Notable lack of Fox characters on that list.- 241 replies

We still know almost nothing about the game. It might make sense within it. But I just think that surely they would know they are torturing us putting Spidey 2099 at the center of the images if we're not getting him. They're geeks too, so I hope they would know that!- 5,808 replies

The Greatest CMF Important Poll
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
In one on one matches, yes, that happens. Not necessarily so in group matches, though. Imagine minifigure A and minifigure B are both favorites (say, top 5) of about 30 people. Minifigure C is the favorite of 20 people. Now, if all 3 minifigs are placed in the same group, people who have both A and B in their favorites will have to choose either. Let's say they split even. If 15 people choose A and 15 people choose B, then both A and B will lose against C, which will have 20 votes. However, if you had placed A vs C, or B vs C, C would have been eliminated. At best, C would be second favorite among these 3 minifigures, but the current system would have it advance as the favorite. -

I haven't been able to find any of the trailers that has that, but I did stumble upon the full version (better than the FB video): But yeah, I agree, and I hope they reveal the exclusive, if any, soon. If we are indeed getting Spidey 2099, I'd like to know ASAP!!! Been waiting for that figure for years.- 5,808 replies

The Greatest CMF Important Poll
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sure, but in the end only one would prevail. If this is about giving minifigs that had a rough group a second chance, then all that matters, in my opinion, is that they would have the chance to try to beat the champ one on one, if they win the "runner-up championship". -

I just realized Spider-Gwen isn't a real minifigure either, since I was tricked by having the Christo custom in mind. I really hope we see them both. Spidey would be killer with that detailed printing and the red arm highlights.- 5,808 replies

Woah, Spider-man 2099??? Pleeeeease tell me he'll be in a set or a cheap polybag... And not an SDCC exclusive! There's no way he'd occupy the center of this picture if he wasn't going to be a real minifig... Is there, is there? Please Lego make him!!!!! The Greatest CMF Important Poll

I still think you can get the best of both worlds. Might be good because people seem to be split 50/50 on this issue. -
Oooof, this round is reaaally gonna make heads hurt for the army builders. To me, it was close between the bandit and the battle goddess. In the end, her gold highlights won me over.

The Greatest CMF Important Poll
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Interesting idea. It was devastating to see some runner ups lose. My personal opinion is, even though this wasn't the plan when beginning the game, it can shake things up. We could even do two brackets that might satisfy everyone. One with all the group winners (64), and one with the runner-ups (64). Finally pit the two champions against each other. That way, things will be virtually unchanged for those that want the game to stay the same, the runner-ups will stay in the game, and the runner-ups will still have a decent chance at winning the overall thing. -
Ice Fisherman! Although it looks like I cast my vote a little after Itaria took the screenshot. Oh well, this time it wasn't my fault!

Well, my only suggestion for @Itaria No Shintaku would be to make the next rounds one on one, or if not at leasty the last ones. I think the group approach is fine and fun for the first round of elimination since we're discarding five sixths of all the candidates, but one on ones would work better in the next rounds, in my opinion. So, 64 minifigs will go on to round 2, so that means we'd have 32 matches if we did one on ones. I'm almost certain that it's possible to ask more than one question in an EB poll, so we could do, say, 4 matches a day (each 1 vs 1), and people would give their 4 choices for the 4 matches of the day. In this way, round 2 would take 8 days (or 16 days with 2 per day, or 32 with one per day). Edit: and I totally agree about the jokes.

Yeah. An option would be something similar to what we did (still do?) here on EB with MOC contests, where people are given X amount of points to distribute among different candidates. But I think that is unnecessarily complicated in this case and I like the current system. It's a fun game, even if devastating at times.
