It’s a great build and is in the show too, enjoy it. Love the menacing look of it.

In my opinion the fact that the armour and the cloth are the same texture, making them almost indistinguishable, is the biggest issue. Had they been duel moulded or printed I feel like it would have solved the suit problem 10 fold. also to add onto the dragon recommendation, @EricZhou the big core ice dragon creature is a pretty damn good set. Only gripe is the head comes off really easily, but other than that it’s a huge and imposing dragon build.

The empress mech vs dragon seems to be very good if you have the budget, i don’t so I won’t be picking it up but reviews have said it’s one of the best. Empress mech looks pretty nice as well and the figure selection is pretty good. for something smaller the Wyldfyre heatwave dragon also looks pretty good.

He confirmed he would be leaving at the end of crystallised, so its been pretty well known throughout the community, the fake leaker just built off what we knew. He left on his own terms. Also a new image was revealed for dragons rising part 2, its not very spoilerly so I won't mark it as such, but if you dont want to read it this is your final warning. Picture looks like Nya and Sora stood infant of some giant robot that is made from stone. My personal theory is this is the old Sam X mech (looks like the one Nya used in crystallised) with the horn and high up shoulder pads. I think it could either be Pixal or jay who have been using it as a sort of hide out, it it could have either been buried in mud or camouflaged. Or maybe it just got muddy from some unknown scene?

(Spoiler ish) This would explain the lack of a rescue search party for the original crash. Interesting

Yeah, this is only DR part 1, part 2 releases October 1st. I’m assuming the team mechs, the race car and the temple of dragon energy cores will be in the second half, which is pretty good considering the number of sets. We’ve seen half of them already, the mech bike, the hound, the bounty and the lightning dragon battle.

So, I figured its been enough time for me to collect my thoughts and feelings about dragons rising. First off, non spoiler talk - This is honestly one of the best seasons of ninjago ever, hands down. The story, the characters, the visuals, the lighting, the music (oh my god the music) and the ideas and options it leaves open, damn it is just incredible. I wouldn't say its above seasons 8 and 9, but it isn't below it either. I'd say its on par with them. I loved the early season esq storyline where its a bunch of smaller adventures that culminate in one big plot, although thats mainly in the first half (or quarter?). I would say go into it with an open mind, and it does take some getting used to, but it has definitely solidified its position as being a top season so far. Hopefully the second half of the season stays just as good. My only criticism would be some pacing issues, it does feel very fast and abrupt, and at some points a bit slow, but im gonna chalk it up to the team being used to trying to fit 10 mins of content in to an episode and not 20, so theres gonna be a couple things to get used to. Now, for the spoiler bits -

Not sure if it counts as a leak but if you check RideXninjago leaks then you should see them on Instagram. Just want to be cautious about links and leaks. I have seen the first 5 episodes of dragons rising, it is very very good. I’ll refrain from spoilers for now, but apart from some pacing issues, it’s far better than crystallised already.

So today is the day! ninjago dragons rising comes out in just under 2 and a half hours, it will be streamed on YouTube by a couple of people I believe. Im assuming that we are keeping spoilers in the spoiler box, and whenever I talk about something ill make it clear what episode its from, incase someone wants to space the episodes out over the week. Just a recommendation for everyone else. Cant wait to watch the new show, although I probably won't get any sets till Monday, thats when my local shop is putting them out on shelves. Gonna pick up the hunter hound and kai spinner, then the bounty and temple at a later date. Then its a long slog to get the markets. I also want to get the team mechs and the mech bike set, team mechs is probably my most anticipated set of the wave but severely overpriced IMO, so I will be looking for a discount. And whilst I detest the build in the mech bike set, im gonna put my modding skills to use and try and redo it into the duel cockpit gyroscopic racer mech we've seen in the show. The only sets im gonna miss this wave are the 4+ sets, Lloyd and Nya spinners (unless I have a change of heart) and the giant dragon vs mech set, as much as I want it its too big of a spend alongside the bounty and the markets. then I gotta get heatwave and zane car. My wallet is already crying. spoilers for the character of Wyldfire -

A user on Instagram, jacobspointofview, has posted on their story a picture of the new Kai figure with the rebooted mask, it fits almost perfectly which is great, I was wondering if that could be used and it seems so. Hopefully it looks good on Sora as well, that’s my main hope. Can’t wait to see the sets and the show tomorrow.

Do we know when Lloyds legendary dragon is retiring? I expect it can’t stick about for much longer, if it’s gone by the end of the year then that pretty much guarantees the big winter set (in the £90 or 100$ category) to be that big green talking dragon we’ve been seeing in trailers and that one clip we got yesterday. I’m assuming it’s from the second episode.

The set wave launches June 1st world wide and then part 2 of the season releases in the fall. Not sets, we would have known about a fall wave at this point if it was coming. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got winter 2024 sets for the second half of the show though.

I do hope we see the Titan mech, I backed down on it before in favour of saving money but if it does come up again in the season then I’d be very tempted to get it. I could see it being worked into the plot, but then again they could just say “jay didn’t wake up in his mech”. Like Lloyd waking up in the monastery not the bounty. Maybe Lloyd and Arin find the Titan mech and rebuild it into the team mechs? Idk.

Yeah, in the clips we got of “meet Riyu” (I think it was that) Arin called him a tiger. And we know tigers exist in Chima, so that doors still open.

Source is a round table discussion with the set designers that multiple lan members such as Masters of brickjitzu, duckbricks and bricksbymind took part in, they have all confirmed that.

I doubt Lego will stop producing one of 2 entire set waves of the year, but I understand that making 40 20 min episodes a year is gonna be quite the stretch. Personally I think 2 set waves is the most likely option. We have the content for it, and it would give the designers the opportunity for “spoiler” sets from the show, like say it turned out Sora was Imperium all along and she got her own imperium vehicle we would see that in the winter. Plus there’s that giant green dragon seen in trailers, considering how prominent it has been I’m finding it hard to believe that we aren’t gonna get that as a set. My best bet is that the green dragon, Heatwave, and Jiro (the transforming and lightning dragons) are 3 of the 7 source dragons, and we can expect to see the other source dragons in later waves. I think 2 set waves per design is entirely possible and could explain some weird choices like exclusive goons/guards instead of high ranking figures and the lack of Nya in some sets.

Agreed, docks is a hard fit with the others. Going if bricksbyminds video of connecting the sets up, I recommend putting the OG Ninjago city on the left side of the markets as the tree coming of the unbuilt apartment actually helps hide the unsightly gap that’s behind the cable car upper station, and also blends well with the cherry trees. Also if you have the funds, I think getting a baseplate or 2 and completely tiling them off with water will look amazing next to the city sets, you can also save some tiles by putting the bounty ontop of it as well.

Wow, wish I could have a layout like that. If I were you, id put the docks behind the OG city, and then have the destiny’s bounty docked next to it. Then have the markets be put in the middle between the 2 corners.

Go right ahead, I doubt mine will take off until the summer anyways. From the leaked trailers though, imperium as a city looks very cool and interesting, I love the architecture and design of it. Another tidbit of info, apparently the giant lightning dragon is called "Jiro", not exactly sure where the name has come from but thats what brick-fanatics called it in their review. Wish we had stuff like Walmart here in the UK, we just dont have the space for sprawling stores like that. You may get lucky with an independent toy store every so often but as far as I know mine are still waiting for the sets to even arrive. Maybe somewhere like B&M? Anyone else in the UK got any early hunting grounds to scout out?

The sets seem so far are: mech bike destinys bounty (without the dragon) imperium hunter hound heatwave transforming lava dragon (leaked trailer) Elemental lightning dragon (leaked trailer) Sets we haven’t seen: Team mechs Temple of dragon energy cores zanes car Spinners? I’ve got a couple ideas for one, large base that’s “underground” and has some imperium stuff, plus a section of the underground railway seen in the trailers. Second level is imperium stuff, maybe an area to hold dragons like we saw in the trailer? Banners with Rempress Beatrix on the sides and then the final top section could be a throne room or something? Colours would be black with gold and trans orange trim, maybe some dark red mixed in as well?

Alright, I’ll admit I gave in. Watched the first episode, won’t spoil much but it’s very very good. I really want to highlight the music though, it’s absolutely amazing, top tier and way better than the simple remixes crystalized brought (the pixbot theme is damn good though). I really hope the soundtrack releases alongside the season and it isn’t delegated to the back of the 15 season long list of soundtracks we are meant to be getting. Really hope something happens with that, ideally we get the DR soundtrack and inbetween season releases we get the past seasons sound tracks.

Yeah so far I’ve seen the first five mins of it, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Pacing was a little off, and it does still feel like classic Ninjago (to me anyways, I showed my brother and he said that “that’s not Ninjago anymore”. This will be a decisive season). And the music, hot damn it’s good. I love the theme that plays after Arins story. Anyways I won’t watch anymore or look at spoilers, I want to watch it all on June 1st in English, German is kinda hard to understand. It’s just a shame this has Happened at all, it was going smooooooth up until the final week. At least there will be 8 new episodes for those who have watched these 2 already though. Overall pretty hyped.

Heads up, new Ninjago themed build a minifig thing for June 1st, new versions of Arin and sora with different torsos but same hair and faces (different from markets). Also Lloyd Nya and Kai are in core suits and a dojo kid. If I get the chance to pick one up I’m definitely grabbing Arin Sora and a few dojo torsos.
