Wait, so all the ninjago sets are planned for a later reveal in may? Or did they just say “Ninjago sets are planned for a later date in may”??? That’s it fellas, I’m un-synchronising my Lego watch and hanging my hat up. Look forward to discussing the next Ninjago trailer though. Lego really killed the mood I guess.

I’m more surprised we haven’t had ANY reveals about today, not just Ninjago. Must be legos off day .

Could be cool, although we should be working with the same budget as crystalized at this point for the main wave. The way I see it is: 2022 Core ninja team + snakes 1Hy crystalized -> due to simple designs of core we get crazy figures for crystalized 2HY 2023 Core ninja team already done so no budget needed + bone warriors (this is the snake spot for last year) 1HY dragons rising -> due to simple designs + no need to design ninja for winter wave = same budget as crystalized. The spare budget left over that would have been allocated to new suit designs for the winter 2023 wave will instead either be dispersed into the DR wave, or used on new characters in the markets set. Basically we should be getting some stellar figures that are on par or better than crystalized If this is the case I’m going to be pretty disappointed. Hype will be gone by then and at least some sets would have leaked. Hype is like 2 sides of a rising hill. One side is the hype, the other is the reveal. If the reveal takes too long (hill is too high) then the hype will slow down and die out.

Nothing from them yet. On a side note, I was looking at the team mech set. It comes with Rapton, Lloyd, Arin and 2 of the triceratops guys. But the trikes are in Perl dark grey by the looks of it, not gold. Maybe a higher level of goon? Or a mistake?

Unlikely, although currently we haven’t seen any big reveals. Minecraft is still on the table. And correct me if I’m wrong but there’s still some creator sets? And maybe Star Wars? 🤞

Small update on the markets- reveal will be around the middle of may. That’s unfortunate, it means it won’t be revealed with the rest of the sets, I wonder why they’re being kept back then? Or maybe they won’t also be revealed until half way through may. Let’s not entertain that theory. Also there’s a very cool MOC of soras mech on Instagram, user is @kawanbrick. Go show it some love!

In the meantime, how about another theory: the shot we’ve seen at the end of the 2 latest trailers, of Sora, Kai, Lloyd and the baby dragon all jumping on top of the sideways bounty in the merge. What if when the bounty and the mech got sucked into the merge convergence/singularity point in the Arin trailer, the bounty gets flipped over and basically all the ninja are scattered in a “every ninja for themselves” scenario. Then, obviously Kai Lloyd and Nya meet up at some point, and they somehow access the merge or wherever this scene happens, and sees the old bounty flipped over, and they look for clues on the other’s whereabouts? Basically they just find the old bounty in the merge and discover someone on it (maybe the imperium also searching for clues?). Who would they be fighting?

Good call. Friday would be awful. But likely. Unless they revealed both minecraft and Ninjago in the same day.

As long as her name begins with R im happy. Maybe this is Riyu? I did see that, but theres nothing too interesting seen. If it was another ninja, like Jay or Cole that would be very cool. There must be something in the inner leak community (the big 3, promo bricks, falcon fan and brick clicker) where theres an agreement or knowledge of some big event concerning the launch of not just sets but the D2C and some other things. Unfortunately its kinda killing the hype for me.

Yes, ive been comparing it to the show. You know what they say, comparisons are the killers of joy. Looks like what I mistook for mudguards are actually feet that could fold down, so obviously I will reserve big judgement for the actual set pictures. Hopefully this is just incredibly stylised for the comics.

I really hope thats not what the build looks like, Im not a fan of that at all. I was hoping it would be more in line with the mech bike from the show, and the mudflaps on the back wheels would become a stand for it to sit on. Cockpit looks way to thin and protrudes out of the body, and the wheels on the inner thighs...... ehhh I hope not. If it is like that, hopefully its not to hard to mod into the show version.

Yes, although I wouldn't mind seeing something, but good things come to those who wait. Hopefully we get a whole pressrelease/brickset article like they did for dreamzzz today. That would be amazing.

Really loving that new Mei dragon, something about the proportions and style seems so right about it. I think its the little bits sticking of the front of the wings that do it for me. Perfect set, and a decent price. With this, ninjago and possibly Dreamzzz, its going to be one expensive summer.

As much as I hate this, this is most likely the plan. do minecraft tomorrow, throw us a trailer to keep us entertained and then do the big reveal on Thursday. Dang, its annoying. At least we got the poly bag today.

Yeah thats what im thinking. Speaking of dreamzzz I hope that sword mould that appeared in gold for the hero's and black for the eye villain appeared in this wave somewhere, even just as a throwaway trophy display in some treasure room in a temple, it looks really cool but I dont want to devote a chunk of my budget into dreamzzz just for one piece, and ive had problems with BrickLink so thats of the table.

This is what we said yesterday, haha. Maybe (definitely) tons of short form entertainment has ruined my ability to be patient but they are drawing this out way too much. This wave and wait had better be worth it.

Hmmmmm not looking good for Ninjago so far. I doubt we will get much for the rest of the (uk) day, hopefully those across the great pond will see them revealed in the late evening.

Most likely speculation. Gotta be patient now, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get anything big today as Lego will want Dreamzzz to sit on its own and not be overshadowed. Hope I’m wrong though.

Good catch! Yeah, seems to be a lot of Ninjago parts in the city sets. As I pointed out earlier, I’m pretty sure the Rempress hair piece is featured in 60368 (the big expedition ship). In dark red, at the back of the vessel. Dreamzzzz has been revealed, looks pretty damn good. Now it’s just minecraft and Ninjago. Where are these sets?!

Azure lion mech has leaked, blurry but looks alright. Proportions are a bit weird, but the figs look good. Wukong, Mk, pigsy? Azure lion obviously. And an ink demon. MKs airship also revealed, looks pretty good actually, hope it’s cheap. Peng and an ink demon, Mk and someone else? Temple as well, looks fairly big and expansive, a wojira type dragon on the left and the big staff build in the right, and it’s huge! The building looks really big and deep, so hopefully not a facade. Meis dragon is also up, looks very good. Hopefully that’s tang with her, plus an ink Demon and yellow tusk elephant.

So new polybag, we will take that! Looks like a steal for 5 quid but I’m guessing it will be hard to find. Hopefully it’s a gwp or I may just pick it up on bricklink. Gives us a first look at how the new suits work, and ehhhh it’s alright. Not as bad as in the leaks but that line dividing the top and bottom of the mask is an eyesore and a half. New eye print though looks interesting, I wonder how that works in the show. Rapton looks great, if not a little under detailed compared to the show. Temple build looks pretty nice. Someone mentioned the city sets, sweet baby those ocean exploration vessels look amazing, although this is the wrong thread now. Onwards to ninjago! The Rempress figure hair piece comes in dark red in the big orca bot from city. Looks cool.

Gonna be honest I really think the dragons name is Riyu, I just think it fits it. Hope im right, although I wouldn't be opposed to another villain with the R name... I doubt they will follow the same procedure as last year, but im impressed with the dedication. Im heading to bed now, good luck on your hunt, hopefully tomorrow proves fruitful. I know brick clicker is teasing a video that covers the dreamzzz theme, so maybe we could see ninjago as well.
