well you probably notice the dynamite, in that time they didnt have it yet! So yeah, they probably add in some fantasy and see what it will do. Think you'll see new hair types aswell soon, perhaps second half of 2009 or start 2010. Anywayz, yeah, they will add a few things from movies like pirates of the carabian and add in other fantasy things

6239 Chase for the map (planned to buy: 4) 6240 Pirate raft (planned to buy: 2) 6241 Treasure Island (planned to buy: 1) 6242 Soldiers Fort (planned to buy: 4) 6243 Pirateship (planned to buy: 1) 8396 Soldier with three weapons, backpack and the big hat. (planned to buy: 10) 8397 Pirate with weapon and campfire. (planned to buy: 10) *This is planned on base knowlage of what I can afford financially* Okay a Quick review about the sets: 6239 Chase for the map The cannon on wheels is a new thing for the whole pirate theme, not unwelcome though! I really like to see this added to my collection! I can really use a few cannons for land based battles mainly! The figures are looking pretty nice, the pirate looks like a pirate with a belt that looks like it came straight from the Vikings theme! Does look great but I personnally don't like the figure though but is a nice addon! The soldier looks really nice and sure is a great addition to any collection! It's highly detailed but unfortunatly the set could use a second soldier if you ask me! 6240 Pirate raft The raft is for the first time without a sail and does give a bad look. I do love the golden spyglass that has been added and a recolored octopus! The pirates look a little dull if you ask me and the 2x2 barrel has obviously been replaced with a box. WHY??? since when is a box a nice thing to place on a raft?? Overall the raft is kinda dull and on my opinion not that worthy of buying. 6241 Treasure Island The new blue boat is great! I sure wish LEGO did this sooner! After a green and red boat for the Pirates they finally have a blue boat! Ofcourse you can take a white boat that is out there aswell! All figures look pretty good and will be a great addition to any collection! I how ever do not really like the looks of the island that looks too much like the jack Stone Pirate theme LEGO gave out. Also the 'siege' weapon on the island is looking really basic, i wish they had placed a real cannon or a smaller cannon that can be used in other sets aswell. 6242 Soldiers Fort A great set! I truely love it! it has a great classic pirate style look! Dynamite is now realalistic looking, even a banana and new flames! Simple build, but it does look great! Prison, tower and a small building! I notice the old captain is returned with new looks, 3 soldiers and a soldier officer!!! Just a great set i love to buy and I really recommend!!! Footnote: I noticed a fortress on the background, perhaps the same like the new castle line? A trick to give a small hint for late 2009 or early 2010? Also noticed a little brick (white 1x1 brick with eye) on the right side, perhaps this can be a component building? 6243 Pirateship A new ship for the pirates, although the ships that pirates used were mostly small fast ships this might just be aswell a good thing for the pirate theme. Jack Stone pirate themed sails are actually a bad thing to add, I wished they took more to create new sails in that. great figures have been added and a shark from the jack Stone theme... whish they didnt do that o_0 The ship actually is shaped pretty nice and NEW masts!!! I also notice they FINALLY added crownests! Now you finally won't have to improvice to create one yourself! I think the ship actually may be a little wider so you can add more guns inside and can build a bigger ship. I actually do not like the guns on the front, they are way up to high and the cannon on the back isnt looking nice on the back side. Further I notice a golden hook on the captain? The mast riggings look actually longer then the ones in the old sets, so can we espect something like 30 studs long rigginge now? They also look narrower then usually. I also noticed the 2x2 hole that used to be in the bow is gone aswell, new ship hull parts!!! FOOTNOTE: I noticed another ship with 2 masts on the background, looks like a big one aswell! So far I can see 8 sails! (look behind the island behind the pirate ship). 6253 Shipswreck Picture is too small to judge correctly 8396 Soldier with three weapons, backpack and the big hat. It's obviously based on the medieval set but if really a great pack anyways! A soldier with starter gear! A great set to start out any collection! 8397 Pirate with weapon and campfire. Another great starter set! A unique pirate you can not find in any of the sets, a snake, fish and a crate.

euhm... didn't you read the topic perhaps? I made them for the PC program called MLCAD, that means no printing! You could however use the flags as idea and search them on google and print those. might help out a bit... You do need a printer on the other hand to print something..... more then welcome!

Your favourite character from the Pirate theme
Voodoo Hand replied to Dreamweb's topic in LEGO Pirates
i choose Captain Roger / Red Beard. Why? he is the only one wher eu can do more with then the rest! -
I never tried the Officialy lego program in that way but I did try to get my MLCAD stuff made in real legos, unfortunatly they sended me lame messages that the law prefends them to do so etc etc... blah blah blah... well basic nonsone. so kinda only way you can try seems by the official program and other wise you just can not try anything at all.

Which Castle Sets Do you want for 2009?
Voodoo Hand replied to The Rancor's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
- Extra medieval village add-ons - A trebuchet (minifig scale) - Better battle packs (includings Orcs or Townsfolk A trebuchet is easy to add, this never actually been made in official lego and would seriously scale up the firepower for long range! Better battlepacks sure would be nice to have, i dont mind the orc figures but new townsfolk and some knights would certainly be a great add-on! Extra medieval village things always will be a really good add-on, new buildings for in your village will certainly add an extra dimension to the whole castle age thing. Both that and that in the past series there were only a few sets that included actually a propper add-on for the town itself. A church, merchant stand/house, peasant house, mill, farm, anything! make a propper series! I understand "A medieval windmill and farm" as extra village add-ons. -
Review: 852271 Knights Battle Pack
Voodoo Hand replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
it's way to expansive for what you get, besides you pay more for the package then its containts... -
I got the flags already! No problem in that department! Think ill add soon a page where u can download each image so everyone can use it as printable flags. lol, I do alot more soon, so dont worry ow there sure will be more! Not sure when tho
-
no problem at all!!! I decided to make some more soon, some pirate flags of REAL pirates. Also castle themed decals! (separate forum post)
-
really no problem at all! Im glad to show it here and I had fun making these! Maybe soon more new flags and other decals!

Some usable flags in the theme will always be good to have I always say, so for the people that like to have new flags in MLCAD or any similar program that uses the same files, you might be getting very interested now! My idea was to add some stickers in the MLCAD world so it was easier for others just to add these. Since they never will be officially released in the MLCAD parts I like to show them to you and offer you a way to download them! Templar Stickers You can download these on my personal website for free! How to use: 1. Unpack the RAR-file 2. Copy it's containts to the folder of your choise (best is to place them under the MLCAD folder called 'MODELS') 3. When you need one, just copy it to the folder where your model is located. 4. Use insert model and get the file you just copied, then press okay. 5. Your sticker will now be in the file, now you have to fine tune it's position and you're done! TIP: best rotate your flag WITH sticker attached, this way you wont get minor differences and stickers that don't seem to fit, also it is less work! PS: Yes I am DS9, just saying before anyone starts to complain I stole it or something.

Great tutorial! I think ill go try it out myself aswell! Specially the glue part! Thanks alot! You can use cloth where they make tents out of, that is sturdy and strong material but flexible enough. I use it to make clothing once in a while for my figures. No, i can not show anything since I aint good enough yet. Yes I will post pictures when I am and perhaps I sell some to anyone who will buy.
-
These are just models that anyone can use, both the actual creator as me decided to release them and not make money out of these. So making them for real and selling sets will be a no no. I do going to try my own models however, it might be a nice thing to have a small shop where I sell some custom parts (yes I created some) and some of my own sets (I think some small simple sets might do the trick in the start).

hehe, yeah that was a hard one to solve, at first i made a version that had the engine basically in the cowcatcher (front bumper part) so I had to change that, I had an idea to make the actual train longer but keep the engine at the same place as it was. This solved both the problem of the engine as the problem that it looks really stupid when so small. Only thing I done basically was lengthen it with 6 studs. Do be aware that the cockpit area can be weak since it is not really sturdy build, unfortunately the right parts for this are not available. I'm not sure either if there is enough place for a driver in that cockpit. It actually got build for looks, not really for usage, besides that it is hard to create something that just fits perfectly and looks perfect aswell. If you see any problems in your build, please let me know! EDIT: ow yeah, I am trying to get the Dutch Railways permission to use their logo and there by upload a picture so you guys can see that aswell. Besides that I am trying to get that aswell to help out, not just any help but realising this model to become a real LEGO set! LEGO itself keeps bumping me off with lame excuses as 'we can not help because of legal problems' and 'we have our builders in Danmark and the rules are that no fan ideas go to them'. And then I ask them why so many fan models have made it in real LEGO and why so many ideas were stolen! Anywayz, It seems to take some time in this but I will keep you posted!
