According to the pictures on the LEGO S@H website it attaches to the left side of the fireplace we got yesterday. And yes the mistletoe is up top with the blue & clear glass thingy at the bottom. When done it looks like a fireplace with a window on either side.

Not a big fan of FB so if they include them in a round of HP/FB CMF's I hope it stays limited to 4-6 slots. I think mostly I'll be using my extra FB figs as generic filler for other HP and City setups. There are still so many HP figures/variants we need. If future rounds of HP CMF's are limited to the new standard of 12 I'd hate to see any of those slots being wasted taken up by FB Figures.

Was able to Pick up my Monster Book of Monsters today from Barnes & Noble. They called last night to let me know it was in. I don't know if it was the one they special ordered for me from another store or if they finally received their allotment because they had several more available on the self in the store. So if anyone in Northern Colorado is looking get yourself to the B&N in Fort Collins.

Target currently has the Polybag available online but you need to spend $35 to have it shipped. They have them in my local Target & Walmart stores. Not sure about Kohl's. Never found them in my local Joann's despite their online pickup saying they were available. I snagged 4 of them when they showed up in Walmart. Check Walmart's Holiday Stocking Stuffer displays as there are a bunch of different polybags as well as some small boxed sets in the displays. In Target I've found several different polybags in the Holiday Candy, Baking & Stocking Stuffer area endcaps

On a cautiously optimistic note, one of my local Barnes & Noble stores is having the MBOM sent to their store here from another store out of state for me. Will know in about a week if it actually arrives. A few days ago after the pre-Black Friday fiasco of no decent sets in stock to get it as a GWP I was resigned to the possibility of never being able to get it at all. Now they'll probably end up offering it as a GWP at LEGO S@H after we all buy it from Barnes & Noble.

I'm annoyed with myself because I looked at the Barnes & Noble website earlier today but I failed to check out Page 2 of the Harry Potter Stuff. I also did do a search for "Monster Book of Monsters" but it returned over 2000 items so I didn't look beyond the second page. Guess I should have added "lego" as part of my search. The in store search option turns up nothing available within at least 100 miles of me.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
karrit replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
It was unavailable for a while earlier this year due to Covid apparently while they figured out how to keep the employees safely separated & protected while picking parts to fill the orders. -
It's been sold out at Barnes & Noble for 2 days now. I hope it becomes available from other sources besides the Discovery Centers at some point but if not I'm not going to go crazy trying to get it.

The whole LEGO Art line does nothing for me whatsoever. I'm much happier with my Diagon Alley and other Harry Potter sets. I remember being in the Disneyland LEGO store back in March where people were wowed by the personalized on demand Photo Mosaics they were doing there. They were predominantly B&W. Reminded me a bit of the Photos they put on cakes you buy from the bakery. Just not something I want to spend my hard earned money on.

When I first looked early this morning the Astronomy Tower was still in stock. By the time I was up and ready to order it was out of stock. Stopped at my local B&N this evening to ask if they knew if the GWP possibly might be available in store on Black Friday but they didn't know. Said they doubted it but it was possible. Said they won't know until that morning what the in store deals would be. They had at least a half dozen Astronomy Towers in the store as well as most everything else but no Hedwig.

Besides the deal being "Online Only" most of the newer sets are temporarily out of stock online and also not available for Buy online, pick-up in store despite the stores actually showing them in stock.

In a way I'm a little bit glad that the generic #legoleaks hashtag is locked down. I was getting a bit fed up with all the Fortnite crap and personal pictures of a few people who were posting many dopey selfies & pictures of cats that have absolutely nothing to do with LEGO. I reported a lot of them as spam but wish there was a way to get them permanently blocked from using the hashtag.

I like the books but as others have already said I wish that they had chosen some other secondary students to use besides yet another Cho or Cedric. Wasn't Parvati's sister Padma a Ravenclaw? I like the new Seamus.

Christmas Tree GWP last year was a $120 minimum, Gingerbread House GWP was a $99 minimum and the VIP Red Brick was a $200 minimum.

So are we to expect these figures will appear in some of the new sets being released in 2021? These activity books usually use already released figures.

Thank you.

Where are these leaks?

I was hooked on the Elves theme when I finally got back into Lego but it ended the next year and I never got some of the early sets. I have a lot of the original SW sets and don't feel the need to keep up with the current sets although there are a few I'm interested in. Every time I buy any new SW sets I end up wondering why I bother. I only got about 1/2 of the Hidden Side sets and some of those I held out for decent discounts on. Never got into Ninjago but they do seem to introduce some interesting pieces in those sets so I content myself with getting parts I want through BnP. I've bought all the HP since 2018 reboot except the Microscale Castle but am still working on acquiring the latest releases. I also go for some of the Modulars, Creator & Ideas sets as well as some Disney and an occasional Friends or City set.

If your intent is to repurchase this set in the future I don't get why you would even consider selling it at this point unless you were actually making a profit on the deal. I get that there are other sets you want NOW and space is an issue but I would only consider selling if you really don't ever want to have this set in your collection anymore. There are always going to be newer, maybe better sets in the future but if you sell now you may end up regretting it down the road. If your current frame of mind is to buy what you want now to just build once & then sell I think you need to reassess your priorities and not be buying sets you don't intend to keep just because they are new. I'm trying to really start just buying sets I really want rather than grabbing stuff because there are a few new parts in them that I want or the price is good. Judging buy the upcoming new HP sets and the total cost I need to stop buying pretty much most of the other sets that mildly interest me. I even passed on a few that are on my wishlist that I saw yesterday at a discount because they aren't really must haves.

I finally found it on lego_leaks_2021.

Both the Clubhouse & Wreath are currently on Backorder here in the US so if you want them this year I wouldn't wait around on the holiday GWP's as they will probably be out of stock by then. Clubhouse is showing estimated 60 day backorder which means probably not by Christmas & the Wreath is mid November estimated ship date. The Winter Snowball Set and last year's Gingerbread House are already out of stock.

They did 2 big holiday GWP's last year. The first one was the large tree that was released to VIP's the weekend before Black Friday and Nov 29 to everyone with a minimum $120 purchase. The second was the small version of the Gingerbread House that was released December 6 and required a minimum $99 purchase. Early in November they offered the re-issued Creator Reindeer polybag with minimum $35 purchase. The store calendar for November this year doesn't show any holiday GWP's and only mentions the Black Friday sales starting on November 27. The catalog they just sent out indicates the sale will start for VIP's the weekend before Black Friday again. We don't know yet if the Christmas Carol set will be offered for Black Friday or not until December and no idea what the minimum spend is yet. The way GWP's have been going lately they seem to be gone within 1-3 days of release at least here in the U.S. I've got a bunch of sets on my wishlist so I'm hoping something at the right price is in stock available to buy whenever the GWP is offered.

REVIEW: 71028 LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter Series 2
karrit replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Fortunately the Dealer I purchased my box from was kind enough to let me exchange 4 of the Hermione's for 4 Harry's so it ended well. -
I went to mine last week because the website said they had them in stock. All I could find was the Diver with the Stingray. Took forever to track down a worker to check stock but she said that everything was out so she guessed they didn't have it. Claimed everything was out. I did grab the diver anyway.
