Different time zones.

So if I'm interpreting the sign above the box correctly it says comes out the first of September. My guess is there is a LEGO store in France that put the new sets out on display so people could see what's coming. The first picture looks like the same one that had been on instagram. The other is clearly on display in a LEGO store. I don't believe a LEGO store actually sold the set to someone based solely on this photo.

I'm watching now. Set the DVR to record tomorrow's so I can watch and skip the commercials.

When I was in my local B&N last week the person I talked with insisted that all the sets for the rest of the year had been revealed & they weren't getting anything in until September because the sets hadn't been released yet & weren't due out until some time in September. She also told me the only thing they would be getting was Hedwig. When I responded that the Target 2 miles away already had the HP wave she keep insisting that nothing had been released yet since they don't come out until next month, so basically called me a liar for saying that the sets were available somewhere else. It was quite a frustrating conversation to me. She refused to acknowledge any chance of any yet to be revealed mystery set (Diagon Alley). Just keep repeating that everything for the rest of the year had been revealed already and there was nothing else in their system for the rest of the year. And they weren't getting anything until next month but only Hedwig and that was it for the rest of the year.

Just noticed that the Ravenclaw & Hufflepuff Quidditch robe Mannequins have either red brown or dk brown hands. Pink crystal rock introduced with city space theme appears in WWW up on the third floor. Can't wait to see the reveal to take in all the little details. Some of these pictures are still too blurry. And there's no good clear shot of the front of QQS. I was trying to figure if they used a special grill piece, printing or stickers for the windows of QQS & F&B but still hard to tell from these photos.

Hopefully we can stash some of our spare wands inside these boxes. I've got tons of spare wands floating around. I've taken to checking my stash to see if I have loose ones of the color new figures need rather than breaking them off the mold pieces at this point. They get lost easily if they're lose.

I've got to agree, the pink does look better. The all dark red is just a bit too dark. Thanks for the link.

Has anyone tried to make the entrance wall using hinges so if you push on the bricks it starts to fold in? That would be a cool way to try to do it I think. Have to see what all I have after I finish sorting the two 10 pound lots I got this week. So far I've found two old Hogwarts sand green square roof turrets, Prof. McGonagall's green skirt, a couple of Harry wigs, a Dumbledore wig, a Borgin & Burkes sign, Ollivander's sign, 3 or 4 glow in the dark 1x2 tiles, a couple of Gryffindor pennants and I think a wand box 1x2 tile with the sticker. Also quite a few black & dark green window frames and a couple of black skeleton legs. Lots of dark blue roof pieces. I'm hoping to be able to piece together the old Borgin & Burkes and a modified Ollivanders (to represent another shop, maybe an Apothecary) to use with the new DA set.

This would definitely be a great set. I'm a huge fan of the people packs. They should also consider doing a Quidditch Player & Fan Pack and maybe a random classroom filler set. I really hope we get a few more of the accessory packs like the student one at least. I think I'm going to use the White Witch or whatever it was from the BAM as a filler person for DA. I have to go through my minifigs to see what else I've got. I have a second Grindlewald's escape I can modify the figures from as well as some extras from my box of CMF series 1.

Since the chameleon pet figure has been available to purchase from LEGO through B&P I don't think issues with it's production would cause an availability problem. Perhaps it's something with another piece in the set.

Can we please stop expecting that absolutely every figure be precisely accurate to the movie depictions. Yes it would be nice but if one is going off the books we really have no way of knowing exactly what each character was wearing outside of the book descriptions. I'm okay with the generic robes though wished for variants. I'm just happy we are getting this set & it looks really awesome. While it's missing some major shops like Madame Malkins & Eyelops it is generally depicting a scene from the second book. Hopefully we will get more buildings at some point but between some of the drawings & the Studio Google view there is enough source material for those who want to MOC some of the other buildings. This will be my first attempt since I don't have the original set. I'm currently working on trying to recreate two of the original buildings from my huge stash of extra bricks from basic sets. I know I will be needing to order some parts but I'm mostly interested in the buildings themselves rather than the figures and such that came with them.

I wouldn't be buying the set for just the figures especially at $400. I was just saying this is an opportunity to create some other students using the robes from the trio & Draco. People were complaining about the character specific outfits in the CMF being too specific to be used for anyone but the character they represent other than a generic fig to add to another theme entirely and now they're complaining about the generic torso in this set. Just trying to give an positive option how to use the torsos differently for those who find them too generic. I would have preferred there be a slight difference between the robes like in CMF series 1 but it won't keep me from buying the set. But I'll make the best of it if I decide to use them for other students. Nice touch in RoR that Luna's torso has her pendant but makes it harder to use the torso for another Ravenclaw if you look closely.

For everyone complaining about the generic torsos on the trio I see it as an opportunity to mock them into other students to populate DA. When the torsos are too character specific they become harder to use as army builders. For some people this may be their first set so the trio is welcome and necessary to the set but for those of us who have purchased everything at least since the reboot we really don't need them. One really can't use a torso that has robes with Ron's monogrammed sweater to create a generic student.

That's the weird part. It was on the US LEGO Shop@Home site along with the other 4 sets. Since I wasn't able to find it in Target along with the other 4 I added it to my wishlist on the LEGO site. They had it listed as "Coming Soon" but now It's gone from my wishlist & the website while the other 4 are still there. I saw the instructions were still listed and some people on Brickset claim to actually own it.

I just saw a post on another website that the Polybag & Brickheadz are going to be GWP's from Sept 1-15 with HP purchases. I hope it's true and there are still sets left to purchase by September 1 or at least able to be backordered. They should have just waited to release the sets until then. I've waited this long so another week doesn't matter at this point.

Anyone know what happened to Emma's Jungle cube? It disappeared from my wishlist and is gone from the Lego website. Glad I bought the Chameleons from B&P already.

I was just looking and the Burrow & Hedwig don't have dates on them yet but the rest do. Minifigs says September 1. Still no Advent Calendar but the City & Friends ones are now up.

I expected WWW to be the biggest building in the set rather than QQS. I may try to piece together some of the original buildings to make a larger group of shops as well as alternate colors for some of these once the instructions are published.

No CMF's in that Walmart & Privet Drive was the only new HP. Polybags were Lamborghini, Poe's X-wing & the Duplo Duck.

Got my RoR from Target yesterday. No Burrows on the shelf in my local store. Had the others from this wave out but I'm not sure about Privet Drive. Stopped at Walmart on the way home but only one they had out was Privet Drive. Shelves there were still pretty bare.

Dare we hope for some more people packs/army builders/battle packs like the student pack on Shop@Home? Seriously we need more students uniforms from the other 3 houses as well as Quidditch uniforms.

I hope not. While sometimes the dolls are quite detailed the simple fact that they don't have movable hands really bothers me. Their arms can't be positioned well enough to make up for the lack of actual wrist movement . So unless they ever find a god way to address that issue I much rather they stick to actual minifigures.

This has been my exact belief since mention of this set was first leaked. When I heard the price point I always thought there was no way to do it justice by including Gringotts with as many actual shops as I was hoping for. I really didn't want to get a half hearted facade of Gringotts in this set if it meant only getting 2 or 3 actual shops. Never thought we'd actually get as many shops as we are but I'm perfectly happy & willing to wait for a hopefully grand all inclusive Gringotts to add on at a later date. As it is we really are only getting less than half of the Shops I've seen listed elsewhere in the Harry Potter world as actually being in Diagon Alley. Hoping for a Leaky Cauldron eventually too as well as a piece of Knockturn Alley at some point. As it is between the CMF & this whole new wave I'm going to be spreading it thin to get Diagon Alley this year too as well as all the other big sets that are currently on my wishlist. I'm already making peace with the fact that I probably won't ever be getting Mos Eisley.

I'm seeing the same for all the HP sets except The Burrow which still says pre-order & shipping 8/15. Amazon is currently showing the sets become available on 8/28.

Yeah, it is more of a white tail deer stag. I really don't think it's meant to be a patronus even though it appears to use the same mold since there is no shimmer to it. I still think it's meant for something winter themed or maybe even an animal for a Disney set or could be something for a city/forest set. I'd love some normal otters.
