  1. The Death Troopers were not part of the volunteer squad that fought Ahsoka, Ezra and Sabine before being reanimated. They were at the top of the tower and were already reanimated prior to the heroes showing up so must have already been dead, and for quite a long time since we clearly see the level of decay on the one with the broken helmet. A lot of people have theorised that they're the same two who Ezra killed on the Chimaera's bridge in the Rebels finale.
  2. Meanwhile, the logo is said to be $59.99 for 700 pieces... With ZERO minifigures. So just the yellow "STAR WARS" text and nothing else? Apparently there is a lever for some sort of function but I'm struggling to think of what that could be. Maybe they stuck a random stud shooter on it for """play value""".
  3. Same, it's not something that really happened except for a couple of 501st vehicles in a few episodes of TCW. We know from RotS that the 327th didn't do it. If I do get the set (would need a serious discount) then the walker is going straight into the spare parts box. Modifying it into a Mining Guild thing is a pretty cool idea. The ones included with the Turbo Tank sets say hello But why??? Generic human heads are like 20p each and they're just reusing the same half a dozen designs across all of them these days anyway so they'd be nothing special. The zombie heads are something actually unique and useful for other stuff. And yeah as BrickBob mentioned the Death Troopers were already looong dead and decayed by the time of the show so it wouldn't make sense for them to have normal faces. Fully agree with everything in this post. They've been messing up the ratios of specialist:trooper minifigures in battle packs since 2014; you'd think they would have figured it out by now. Technically would need to be a different droid for Order 66: he only has R7-D4 in TCW and then a different one in RotS. Maybe they'll find a way to include the body in the advent calendar like they did with R2-X2 in 2014.
  4. Ok Plo looks good. As others have mentioned I would've preferred the astromech to be his RotS one but that's a minor detail. 327th pack is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. They better have cloth pauldrons as a bare minimum, but I have no interest in the Super Battle Droids and the yellow AT-RT looks TERRIBLE. Hugely oversized as always (it's a little smaller than the 501st one but still not small enough), and I'm not a fan of legion colours on vehicles anyway but here it looks especially bad. Spider droid is whatever; I would've preferred a crab droid or maybe a gelagrub for the Clones to ride. Little BF2 bacta tank is cute but absolutely does not save the set lol. And the price... Maul mech is a Maul mech. Not a fan of the eyes of course and mechs are always overpriced but it's basically what we were expecting. Night Trooper minifigures are a little disappointing: For the regular troopers the only new parts are the grey helmet and one different torso (the legs look identical). Both of the Death Troopers are identical which is very disappointing. As basically everyone has been saying about like half of the battle packs they've made since like 2014, they really should've made the ratio 3:1, but if they were seriously committing to the 2:2 ratio then to make it worth it the Death Troopers should've had different damage patterns. Now it's going to look even worse if you get multiples. I might get it on clearance just for some zombie heads to reuse elsewhere. These figure designs could be due to them being preliminary photos, though only the 327th pack explicitly has the word "preliminary" stamped on it so unfortunately probably not. TL;DR: yep
  5. Ok that GWP sounds amazing. I've wanted a Republic escape pod for a while now for the scene from Rising Malevolence, but this will also do nicely. And finally some Clone cadet figures. Not sure there are any sets I actually want to reach the threshold, but I'll definitely try to get it on eBay or something.
  6. Dual-moulded leg C-3PO keychain but they couldn't manage it in the Sail Barge? Yeah sure ok whatever I guess. Far beyond me to question the wisdom of the designers. (Not a fan of the dual-moulded C-3PO anyway since it should be silver not grey, but still...)
  7. Of all the figures to give dual-moulding she absolutely should've been the lowest-priority (especially when they were too cheap to put the dual-moulded C-3PO in the same set, though tbh I don't like that figure anyway since they used matte grey instead of silver for god only knows what reason), but they could've made her at least somewhat accurate with a light nougat triangle printed on the side of each leg to show a split in the fabric. As for backlash, it really seems like the only people who actually care are the higher-ups who only care themselves because they *think* that the average consumer would care (same goes for the name of Slave I, etc.). Even there it was mislabelled as the SPHA.
  8. Non-render pictures of the rangefinder are out. Shaping of it is good but I don't like the colour. Hopefully it quickly gets re-released in a bunch of different ones.
  9. Unfortunately the colour they used for Zam is retired, though I'm sure they have others that are close enough. (Speaking of retired colours in AotC sets, I'm still sad about sand red since that was perfect for the Geo battle droids) Yeah they could totally throw in either Padmé's window or the ledge Zam was on, but I'd be perfectly happy with just a straight remake of the 2002 set.
  10. Gladly I've had the 2006 one for... a very long time now, but was hoping for an upgrade. I probably will still get the UCS one at some point but not for the RRP. Maybe even without some of the figures since the only ones I care about are Wooof, Max Rebo and Vizam (though I'm pretty disappointed with how Vizam turned out; he's got some inaccuracies). Will also try to get 2 more of Wooof's head+helmet to make the other 2 Kadas'sa'Nikto guards. Also need to get Ree-Yees from the 2013 version. Ironically the 2006 version actually has one of the features which is missing on the UCS set: the hatches towards the front of the barge which Luke pulled one of the guards out of while he was climbing up.
  11. Tbh this could be applied to a lot of figures in the past 5 years or so. Hoth Rebels, many of the Clones, etc. Yeah for me the Barge was probably the most-anticipated set of the decade and it ended up being super disappointing with how few figures it has, how inaccurate some of the included figures are, and how the model itself is also missing some features.
  12. Better Boba leaked image. It has the same hair as before so maybe that is indeed correct? Disappointing if so. Also very much not a fan of the colour choices. His torso is too vibrant and his arms are just completely wrong (as with Jango, they're using sand blue when really they should be using purple. If anything his torso and legs should be the sand blue parts).
  13. True, though the last time they were actually accurate was 2016.
  14. I think the only image we have of it so far is a Pick a Brick style render of it. No real photos yet.
  15. Another thing: the leak has a pearl dark grey jetpack. It's been really annoying over the past few years that the silver one hasn't been in use on figures that could use it (e.g. Din Djarin) so maybe Jango will finally bring it back? (And maybe they just didn't have it available to use on the leaked one so used PDG instead) Especially since as it is it kinda blends in with his torso.
  16. Yeah they've done stuff like that in the past, e.g. the small feather accessory used to come on a wheel-shaped sprue with the 2 other (now retired) types. Heck, even 1x1 studs used to come as 2 together on a sprue.
  17. Honestly yeah, it's at least close enough. Not a huge fan of Jango due to the sand blue as I mentioned earlier. Doesn't ruin the figure but it's a shame it's not a more accurate colour. Also man if it's true that the smaller set won't have arm printing then that severely sucks. Especially since others like Boba and Din have it in even the cheapest sets like microfighters and the mech now.
  18. I've seen some people suggest the Han Solo hairpiece might be a better fit for young Boba. Unfortunately it doesn't exist in black yet to try it out properly ourselves (who knows, maybe that's why they used such a bad choice for the leaked photo if the proper one isn't available yet). Yeah never been a fan of sand blue on Jango. It really should be a more purply colour. *Angry Cal Kestis noises*
  19. YES. Make them sand blue you cowards! They did it for the mini sets in the early 2000s. Yeah it's ridiculous that they haven't been doing this since she first got the second saber back in 2013. They've had the piece available this whole time! Sadly it doesn't exist in the more accurate trans neon green colour (since her shoto has a slight yellow tint to it) but a regular trans bright green one would still be better than the 4L one they're currently using. I'm fortunate enough to have a few of them in green and blue (used a blue one for S7 Ahsoka) from old CMFs; I wouldn't want to pay the modern Bricklink prices for them! And they should make a trans-clear one for the Mandoverse Ahsoka.
  20. I've already got 2 of the 2016 U-wing and 3 of the old K-2SO figure so probably not gonna get this set but I'll definitely try to grab Dedra and a couple of the new troopers. Would've preferred Dedra in her uniform rather than the coat but she still looks good, especially with the new hat piece which I hope is absolutely identical to the standard hat just with the hair added on (would be very annoying if they're inconsistent). Glad that it looks like she doesn't have too much of the "feminine" printing they do sometimes, so it should be a versatile torso for custom officers. Definitely hope we do get a version of her without the coat at some point but this'll do for now. She looks to have the coat printed onto the front of her legs though, which I think would be much better if they dual-moulded the legs. Hopefully the print is at least decently opaque.
  21. That would be the worst possible outcome I think. I would rather just have 30 stormtroopers. I guess my wishlist would be the 25 minifigures from 75159, plus: • Named officers. I believe there are 7 of them (not including Tarkin). We had the unnamed officer in 75159 (what a waste of a figure slot in that set) so if we had all of them and removed him that'd net us 6 additional figures. • A couple more Stormtroopers or Navy troopers (say 2 Stormies 1 Navy). • 2 of the grey-suit crewmembers for the Falcon scanning team. That's already 36, and I'm sure there are a few others I haven't thought of.
  22. Yeah the helmets are making me pretty much completely disinterested in any battle packs featuring Stormtroopers in the near future. While it's a baffling decision on LEGO's part to make the Night Trooper pack's ratio of Death:Storm troopers 2:2 instead of 1:3 from the perspective of most army builders (and even just for kids who would maybe want 2 of the set for a decent squad of troops), from a selfish perspective I'm kinda happy as I can get the 2 actually (hopefully) good-looking Death Troopers and only have 2 figures to go in the memory hole drawer instead of 3. I'd be happy with a pack with some other specialists (Shoretroopers, Rangetroopers etc., basically anything that doesn't use the Stormie helmet mould, also Army Troopers).
  23. I guess I'm looking at this from the perspective of someone who watched RotS aged ~10 and immediately googled "order 66 snow clones" (or some variation of that), then took a red sharpie to his 8084 Snowtroopers. They've been one of my favourite Clone designs for a looong time lol
  24. Nooo I will actually cry if this is true. Sounds crazy but the UT-AT has been one of my favourite vehicles for years, and I was in the process of designing a MOC of one which I put on hold when the set got rumoured (putting my time into an AT-OT instead). Those seconds being in one of the most iconic sequences of the movie, and Ki-Adi's being one of the most memorable Order 66 deaths partly due to that explosion. The last TX-130 was a pretty bad set carried by the minifigures. And I'd argue that among the LEGO SW community its main source of people knowing about it is the 3 times they've made it before, moreso than its Battlefront appearances. The Galactic Marines are way more iconic than the 187th, so I could definitely see them carrying the sales of a more expensive set, and hopefully the build for a UT-AT would be better than the last tank anyway so it wouldn't need so much carrying.
