LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

I have news for you then- neither of these legions appear in TCW except for 2 episodes where phase 1 Bly is present in season 1, a very brief background cameo of Bacara as a hologram and a quick shot of Aayla and Bly for the intro reel of a season 7 episode. -

That absolutely is an objective thing though. Yeah it's pretty small, but the subjective part is whether you think it's too small to be worth caring about. The fact that it is a flaw is objective. If this was the first Aayla we ever got then it'd be less of an issue, but just the simple fact that they got it correct on both of the previous versions doesn't help. It's a clear downgrade from the 2017 figure. To me, it's obviously not ruining the set in itself but it's more of a "death by a thousand cuts" situation with all of the various minor inaccuracies we're getting now. Couldn't all of this apply to the AT-AP too? It's in the background of RotS for a few seconds, and outside of that it has a couple of minor appearances in videogames and comics. If that could get 3 sets, then surely the UT-AT can get 1. -

Interestingly I'm the exact opposite. I quite like the MTT build (even though I already have the 2007 set) but am so disappointed with the figures. Bly's various inaccurate markings combined with the usual kama issue, Aayla's lips being the wrong colour and her legs having some missing details, and the Commando Droids being the wrong colour. Hooray for cheap no-figures listings on eBay lol They look alright at first (aside from the kamas and missing pauldrons), but if you compare them with the actual designs from the movie there are several aspects which have been really messed up. Don't know how the designers keep managing to fail so often with what should be the easiest part of their job (making the designs from scratch is impressive, so why is it the final hurdle of getting simple things like colours or the positions of certain markings correct that they keep messing up?). -

Yeah at this point B1s are no more special than any 5 random normal pieces. Nothing's printed, and everything except the head has been used in non-SW sets as regular building pieces (and all of them have been in production for decades). So, including their blasters and the 2x2 round plates to go on the rack, that's a grand total of 14 pieces which would do wonders for the set's image in people's minds. -

The weird thing is that the MTT easily has room to store 8 B1s for very little modification (just put them closer together). In fact, the actual footprint of the rack is the same as the 2007 one so it totally could hold 16 if you replace the folding mechanism with an extra layer (I do like the folding mechanism though). Gonna copy/paste my thoughts from a R*ddit comment I made about the 2in1 set (this got me downvoted to hell on there for some reason lol- they seem to absolutely hate any criticism of their favourite multi billion-dollar company): Overall pretty good, but just a few minor changes to the sets would probably make this the best 2in1 ever: First one is obviously to fix the inaccuracies on the minifigures. For the Clones: the helmet stripe should have a gap over the visor, they should have 3 pouches on their shoulder straps, and Bly's torso stripe should match the brown of the one on his helmet. Aayla's lips should be pink. The Commando Droids should be brown. Maybe not dark brown like they did in 2012; the lighter colour they used for Bly's helmet stripe might work quite well, especially if they could also print the orange highlights they're supposed to have. Move the 2x2 round plates on the MTT's rack closer together, allowing an additional droid on each side for a total of 8. Honestly not sure why they didn't do this since B1s are very cheap for them to produce (at this point they are no different from any 4 regular unprinted pieces) and they know one of the main complaints in the 2014 set was that it didn't hold enough droids. A bigger one is to change the AT-RT's colour scheme to the standard red and grey republic colours, since we see in RotS that the 327th don't put legion colours on their vehicles. Keep the design, just change the colours (they already changed the colours from what they were in the preliminary images so evidently it isn't a difficult thing for them to do). Or, even better, switch out the AT-RT and just have the Clone vehicle be a Swamp Speeder since we actually see them use those in the movie, and we haven't had a proper one since 2010. Unlike a simple recolour this would be a more significant design change though so not something they could do at the last minute like my other suggestions are. Of course, they also need to be significantly cheaper but hopefully the multipack discount will help with that. -

To me the V-19 is downscaling done right. Sleek build, and the figures are honestly beautiful. Still needs a discount though. (How is it the same price as the ARC-170??) The battle pack... oh boy. The 327th figures aren't the worst Clones we've had in the past few years, but they're still pretty bad with multiple clear inaccuracies. The walker build is the usual filler slop like they had in the 501st Battle Pack from 2020, but this time in a colour scheme which never existed; at that point just make up a vehicle or use something else since it's not scaled right anyway. Could've been the first fully-accurate Swamp Speeder since 2010 but no they went with this instead. Also, the original leaks had it with a terrain side-build, but I guess that's gone now? Just makes the value even worse, and even with that terrain it was still terribly priced. The price of the 327th set is honestly offensive. Please everyone, control your urges and DO NOT BUY it without a discount. LEGO do not deserve to be rewarded for these egregious increases on a set that isn't even that good. Sorry I'm not really following here. The terrain was bad, yeah, but it was still something vs nothing. I guess maybe the price could've been higher, but that doesn't make what we got any better (and tbh I doubt that's what happened. I think they just wanted to skim off as much as they could). The spider droid is unchanged from the initial leak. -

Really? I'm not! Yeah it wasn't great, but now we get even *less* stuff for the same ridiculous price Except for the minifigures? Nah, half of the minifigures in this wave so far have pretty significant flaws. -

Curious what happened to the terrain build. Maybe it's still there and just not in the photo we got? I'm never a fan of the oversized AT-RTs, and this one especially since it's a made-up design (the 327th didn't colour their vehicles) so at that point why not just make it something else entirely? Spider droid I'm indifferent on. Doesn't look perfect, but neither did the old ones. The figures themselves aside from my usual complaints with the 2020 style, helmet holes, and kamas actually look decent. A couple of minor flaws (2 vs 3 pouches, helmet line should have a gap over the visor) but nothing too egregious like Bly's stripe. (Yeah you know things are bad when that's pretty high praise for modern LEGO Clones lol.) -

He wasn't named, but I'm pretty sure the officer in 9492 is him. Unlike other officers with the 3 red 3 blue rank, that one has his 2 code cylinders. -

In-hand pictures of Bly... yep just as bad as expected. Genuinely, do the designers do it on purpose? Do they enjoy watching people complain? It should be trivially easy to get these things right. -

Yep. Not just Clones either, e.g. Thrawn's missing code cylinders. Really would like to know how that happens considering how much they love to brag in all the behind-the-scenes stuff in reference books about how closely they check designs and cross-reference all the little details. Was that just a bald-faced lie? Maybe they staged the design area to have all the cross referencing for the couple of photos in the reference books, then for every other figure they make it's just done from memory after a pint of beer. I swear if they sent me these designs I could've fixed them all in about 2 minutes with MS Paint, so why can't the person they're literally paying to make their "only the best is good enough" designs manage it? -

Rumoured price was 55 USD. And you never know; they did throw us that amazing Cloud City Luke that one time. I'm still hoping they have a huge surplus of Saw Gererra to get rid of (yeah he's an anniversary figure but we've had the Qui-Gon and Maul from the same set which to me suggests they overproduced it). I want him, but no way I'm buying that Infiltrator! -

Bly does indeed have the wrong colour for his torso stripe (it should match the brown one down the centre of his helmet but instead is yellow like his belt and cheeks)- very disappointing. Commando droids look great, definitely an improvement to have them in pearl dark grey rather than brown, and nice printing on the torso. Can't say I hate the MTT build but it has some parts I'm not a fan of like how the "weapons rack" is just the empty studs of some technic bricks. Feels a bit incomplete to do that rather than using proper clips. And the whole back section seems pretty empty aside from that "rack". The layered wedge plates do give it some decent shaping though. Glad to see Bacara does indeed have the 2 little red dots on his helmet since we weren't sure whether he would originally. However, his torso is inaccurate as he should have the same chest pad as airborne troopers do covering his whole right breast, not this tiny bit coming down from his shoulder. The Marines should not have the same kneepads and boots as regular Clones, and I mentioned before when we had the initial leak that the belt on the torso isn't accurate. Also disappointing that their backpacks are plain tiles with no print. The tank itself looks not too terrible (I like the actually-transparent windows though the blue isn't accurate) but again is just far too small. Barely any interior space and the back wheel axle sticks out too far. And the little "tower" is pathetic. Also not a fan of the amount of sand blue on it- where did that come from? The AT-ST is possibly going to be the first "oversized" set I buy. Looks great but as with everything will need a discount. Ah you beat me to pointing this out. Yep. All 3 of Bly, the Marines, and Bacara have pretty significant inaccuracies. Bly's torso stripe is the wrong colour. Bacara's chest pad is the wrong shape and is too small. The Marine has the wrong kneepads and the belt isn't accurate. It really should not take any effort for the designers to double-check reference pictures. I just did it right now for all of them and it took me about 30 seconds, and unlike the designers I'm not being paid to do it! Between these and the other inaccuracies from the past few years (Fox, Vaughn, etc.), I genuinely think the designer should be fired (assuming it's the same person for all of them). That might sound extreme but when it's your entire job to get the details right it's frankly unacceptable to get them wrong so many times. -

Yeah she falls into the category of modern figures which are good but not quite as good as the old ones. Been happening in Harry Potter and LotR too for quite a few figures (e.g. Legolas was nearly great but they gave up with his face, Frodo has much less detail on his torso than the old one, a lot of HP figures don't have leg print when they did in 2010). The lip colour in particular is a very weird thing to change. -

Solitus looks good but I'll probably just Bricklink a couple of his head for Cantina aliens- not sure how useful the body would be for the stuff I'm into. Aayla looks great but I slightly prefer the 2017 version I think. Lekku look identical, face is new (I prefer the lip colour on the old one) and the torso has less """detail""" as is expected nowadays I guess and doesn't really bother me, just seems silly that they changed it. I like the gold print for the legs as it's more visible than the black on the old one but it's missing some other details (the strings at the side coming off her belt). Still can't tell for sure what shade of blue they're using for her as the comparison picture with the 2017 version has different lighting (compare the shades of dark brown on her legs) so it could be any of the azure-esque blue colours. Very glad they didn't give her the awful glowy eyes. The person who leaked Aayla clearly also has Bly in the background of one of the pictures so hopefully we'll see him today too. We'll finally be able confirm whether his torso print is accurate since it was very hard to make out from the catalogue photo and we couldn't tell what his stripe looked like. -

Yeah it's rated for age 10+ at $90 which is exactly the same as K-2SO. Would be a shame since it's the 2nd biggest set of the wave. 75436 at $10 is interesting. Maybe we finally get a small playset in the style of the 76253 Guardians Headquarters or some of the smaller Minecraft sets, for what I think is the first time since Jabba's Prize/Message from 2003. -

Just a small correction with the Lando thing: the 20th Anniversary Snowspeeder was only on shelves for a few months. It actually retired in December 2019 and at least in all the shops around me it disappeared pretty fast. I could still find the Imperial Dropship and Clone Walker (which retired at the same time) for a while after and even managed to get the Dropship on clearance for £12 but the Snowspeeder basically evaporated overnight. And yeah I'm firmly on the side that Bespin stuff in general doesn't get made enough, with Mr Calrissian being a big part of that. They should've put him in the 2017 freezing chamber set. Anyway, AT-ST pictures when? (Also better quality pictures of the others since we still haven't seen the 327th pack all together or any other angles of the other sets) They're all set to release on 1st August (right?) so I'd be very surprised if we don't have anything more before the start of July since at that point it'd basically be time for the official reveals. -

Because it is the same- that's the point Zap was making. Cobb "borrows" Boba's helmet for a while, then Boba gets it back and wears it on Tython to fight off the Stormtroopers. Then he repaints it later, but for the battle on Tython it had all the same markings as when Cobb had it. So yeah if all we know for sure is that the helmet is being made then it could either be S2E1 Cobb, S2E6 Boba, or just sitting in the Razor Crest where Din Djarin kept it for the duration of S2E2-S2E5. -

Hahaha Jedi Bricks just blocked me on Reddit for leaving a comment saying I had originally doubted that the list was true. So uh Cobb Vanth helmet Maybe the Jedi Bricks list is legit after all? Never thought I'd say that. We could all "predict" a Razor Crest and AT-AT coming, but this one actually gives some credibility. Edit: Wait actually he didn't have the helmet in that scene so maybe it's not a duel set with Bane. -
