LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

Biggest missed opportunity with the new Super Battle Droids in my opinion is that they went to all that effort of redesigning the torso (and it looks great) but still didn't add any sort of connection to the back. The hole behind the head could've easily been made into an anti-stud which would help with stuff like this (especially since we've never actually seen the blue MTTs deploying B1 droids, only ever B2s). 327th torso looks good. As usual I'm not a fan of any Clone torso since 2020 due to the weird proportions with the hybrid style (except the Galactic Marines; thank the Force they didn't try to squish that design like they do with regular Clones) but it looks as good as it can within the restrictions of the modern style. -

I guess the question is would you prefer them to print it? Considering that there'd be a good chance of the colours not matching or whatever other issues might arise with that. So if they're dual-moulding it which probably means new moulding equipment anyway they might as well do it properly and get the details right. -

Someone on Reddit posted what they claim is a sketch of the Marine's legs, with a printed kama. Not sure I believe it. First of all it has print all the way down to the feet; there's no way it actually goes that far down. Also it appears to have an armour plate on the crotch area and pouches over the kama which Galactic Marines straight up just do not have so if this is real then it's inaccurate. I reckon they just traced the standard Snowtrooper legs and added a couple extra details. Edit: ok I've compared them and the top half is literally identical the the most recent Snowtrooper design. I am 100% sure it's fake. -

I think it's pretty cool seeing the unprinted versions, especially the half-moulded Marine helmet. Maybe they legit just don't have the rest yet, though someone who posted the Marine helmet said they've had the physical piece in their possession for a while which seems a little weird. -

Aside from the issue with the torso print I mentioned above, this figure looks really good so far. They totally could've got away with reusing the Snowtrooper helmet but I'm really happy that they didn't as they do have different shaping for the face which they've captured perfectly so far. I doubt that they'll use it for future Snowtroopers as like I said they do have different shaping, and there's no way they would've got rid of the current Snowtrooper mould with how often they use it (not in any sets at the moment but the UCS AT-AT only just retired). It'd be like reusing the 41st Scout helmet for an Imperial Scout Trooper. That said, a new Snowtrooper helmet would be nice as the current ones can't have backpacks due to the updated neck bracket piece not fitting under the old helmet mould, but using the Marine helmet for them wouldn't be accurate. Oh baby the clone bros are eating gooooood right now If the print is as good as the mould then I'll definitely be bricklinking a few of those to replace the helmets on my 2013 pilots. (And P1 pilots don't have the vents on the side like the standard troopers do, so shouldn't be affected by them getting that detail wrong on the 2022 P1 troopers) -

Possible Galactic Marine torso leaked (idk if it's a trustworthy source but it looks decently legit, and from a quick check it doesn't match any custom ones I found). Looks alright but there's a weird issue: I think the belt is wrong. It should have the big pouches at the sides like it does but then between them there should be 2 smaller ones; instead there are 3. I get what they might've thought from looking at a screenshot from RotS (can't attach but if you see the post on Reddit I've put the same comment on there with a picture for comparison). They might've thought the dark parts were gaps between pouches and the white parts are the pouches but I believe it is in fact 2 dark grey pouches on a white belt, and several other screenshots I've checked all support this. Weirdly they got the belt right on the standard Clones and you'd assume they would just copy it over but apparently not? -

Agree with everything you said in this post except for this part here. My biggest annoyance with the ARC-170 I got for my birthday back in 2010 was that it only had two pilots and Kit Fisto. As cool as it was to get Kit Fisto he is not a clone pilot, so I was left with an empty seat for a while until I got Palpatine's Shuttle and used the pilot from that to fill the seat. In an ideal world we'd get 3 pilots AND a bonus Jedi figure, but choosing between the two options I'd absolutely want the pilots. 8-year-old me had never heard of Bricklink so that wasn't an option. I had the same issue with the Republic Gunship in 2013- glad they made the microfighter a couple years later to fill the 2nd seat but really would it have killed them to put 2 pilots in? -

Love those BPs. Got 4 of the Rebel one for making a bunch of figbashed troops and alien civilians, and no idea how many of the Imperial one I have now. Think it's around 15 as I bought 2 of them back when it first came out and have since been trying to build up a decent number of the Shock Troopers. Also very happy about the Imperial crewmember figure as it came out right around the time that I was building an ISD bridge so I bought a bunch of those guys on eBay and Bricklink. On around 30 of them now. The build for the Imperial one kinda sucked though, but the Rebel speeder was nice. Edit: ah was hoping they'd merge but Mandalorianknight ninja'd me lol -

I just... don't really care about them making BF3. I'm a glad BF2 is getting more players (can't play myself at the moment as I'm away at uni but will definitely hop on when I'm back home in a couple of months) but if anything it just proves that there's no need for a sequel. I don't want to have to pay for a new game for what will inevitably be a very similar experience to the game we already have (which would no doubt lose all of its playerbase if that were to happen). A new DLC or something (of course they'd need to make it a paid one to justify making it) would be cool, but a full game? No thanks. -

"We need leakers, Lonni, and here you are." Definitely some part of it. I think Jedi Bricks is the worst one for this with all the clickbait "rumour" videos he makes on YouTube. -

Yeah exactly. As icm says it was Lucasfilm suggesting the Zeta and LEGO chose Krennic's instead. I guess if it's true that they had to stick to the same price point (I didn't know that part) then choosing Krennic's makes sense as the Zeta would definitely need to cost more to get done properly, but idk now I think I'd prefer if they'd increased the price and made a really good Zeta just because Krennic's shuttle doesn't really do anything in the movie or show up in much other media. -

Ooh yes please. Along with the TIE Reaper that's the main thing I want them to make from Rogue One. Honestly as much as I love Krennic's shuttle I do wonder whether it was the right choice to make that instead of the Zeta. -

You're almost certainly right with that, which is silly because the real issue with the Hoth set was the inaccuracies and half-finished builds which wouldn't fly in an MBS set either. Also that Assault on Hoth was a straight-up copy of the old Kenner Hoth playset. It even has the same issue with the generator only having 3 discs, and the Yavin-style tower turret. (Fun fact: the designers lied in an interview and said they chose to add that turret... no you copied it from the Kenner set.) Now the distinction between the labels just seems to be used by people defending LEGO for not putting enough minifigures in sets like the Sail Barge because "it's marked as UCS not MBS" as if the 3 letters they write on the front of the box has any effect on value whatsoever (yes people have legitimately argued that). -

Don't get your hopes up about that. In the prelim pictures from a couple months ago it's tiny: a small rock with a couple of leaves on it. Maybe, but I'm not expecting any change aside from the figures (and new pauldron pieces might explain why they didn't have the 327th figures ready in time and used the 212th as placeholders). -

In the hypothetical case that this happens I hope they'd change the design slightly to not have the green skin showing around his neck since that would ruin the reusability. Yeah as you listed there have been a LOT of them. I love Rogue One, but yeah I hated that scene too for exactly this reason. You can't hyperspace while still being so close to a planet due to the gravity. It's how interdictors work. -

Nothing we've had in LEGO before, but yeah it's the heavy trooper helmet from 2005 BF2 (also some sort of trooper design within the Galactic Marines since there are actually like 5 of them in the Order 66 scene on Mygeeto) -
Forgot to mention in my previous comment but also wish it had some more figures. (The Harry Potter one should have more as well; the Sherlock one has 5.) Frodo, Boromir, and a couple of Moria Orc archers would be my choices.

Wow Hasbro seriously missed that? Ridiculous. Also further proof that the people shutting down valid criticisms of LEGO by saying "JuSt BuY bLaCk SeRiEs" don't have any idea of what they're talking about. Anyway yeah it's one of the renders like they have on PaB and the Replacement Parts Service but it looks good. -
I don't think I like that they're using white (or possibly tan?) for the teeth, and the body could've been more detailed than a black blob (at least from what we can see so far, it certainly could've done with more fire coming off it). Fortunately those teeth do exist in darker colours so I'll see about switching them. Definitely plan on getting this at some point but it's suffering from the same issue as the Star Wars dioramas of costing far too much.

Maybe the reason it costs so much is because there's a side-build of an entire UT-AT -

Yeah I just saw that too and someone else in the replies said it's the same at their store. Maybe it was originally going to be a UT-AT and the name stuck for a bit after it changed to a Turbo Tank? I remember with the TLJ transport pod set it was put on shelves in some stores with the tag on the shelf saying "honey jar ship" which I guess was the preliminary pseudonym or something. Of course, I hope it really is a UT-AT but we've had some pretty credible people saying it's not. -

Yeah the Marines are the only thing I care about from that set (unless it does somehow turn out to be a UT-AT after all and this whole thing has been an elaborate ruse). Hopefully they go into a magazine or something like the 212th troopers did since this set is a similar concept to the AT-TE. (Also assuming they don't mess them up in some way in which case I just wouldn't care about them lol.) Lol took me a minute to figure this one out And yeah any Rogue One or Andor sets would be a blessing -

It has approximately 100 fewer pieces than the previous version from 2016, which was already quite downsized, and a significant number of those (about 1/8 of the sets entire count) are used in the wheels which were previously larger pieces so didn't add to the count as much. And the wheels are smaller than any previous version, with the maths working out as the upcoming one being 87% of the length of the 2016 version if they scale the whole model with the wheels. I just hope they do the Marines well enough, but not hopeful since if ever there was a figure that really needed a cloth kama it's them.
