If so, we at least won't be in too much of time battle and will make diplomacy either, because we won't need to be rushed about it. Also, could one of you heal me, before I pass out?" I hand Kiray 3 Remedies, 3 Grand Potions, and a Tonic to hold onto.

    I gaze in wonder at how easily men fell when out of combat. Already Yu Shu had fallen so easily, and now Abel too, when just moments earlier had been a pain to knock down. Perhaps I'm losing my touch, I wonder. "Samuel, check on Abel. What's wrong with him? Is he conscious? If you can heal me, while at it, great, if not...well don't. Battle Order: >Avery (Dark Throwing Dagger) Kiray (Katana) Pretzel (Flying Cross) Samuel: Check on Abel, Heal Pretzel if possible.

    Thanks fellows. I tried to get the pov-state file to work before, but was never able to. Didn't know about the +C thing. It will certainly make life easier.

    Feeling a bit better, already, I speak again. "Tell me, Abel, what is it that first attracted you to the Order Imperial? You are surrounded by people who from all reckoning, have little respect or love for you. I hate to say it, but you don't fit in with them. You are not one of them? I thank you for your help, but I think you are too good a fellow to keep on here. You have shown amazing resilience to stick to your beliefs even when your commanders have lain such a poor example, but you have to wonder if your commanders do things so poorly, could it not be that their doctrine itself is flawed?" Having said that, I whisper in a low voice to Samuel. "What's our duty now? Is our first priority to get Yu Shu out of here safely, or...?"

    He's alive! That's all I can say...or not... Great to have you back, Endgame! I really hope you're alright now. Pretzel will give Sorrow a hug when they meet in the hall...or, you know, whatever. No way! How many Enhancements did Thalion just get? And they were all successful! I am so jelly.

    130 looks to be magnificent. I don't know if it will beat 100, but it will be good. That's for sure.

    "Call him over and let us try to reason with him, if Kiray agrees. You may need to tell Avery to stand down. At the least you are the diplomatic sort as is Kiray here, so that may help. I myself have fought him before and found him to be noble warrior. Honestly, before we came here I had nothing but admiration for the Order Imperial, but then again, I did not know Bella."

    "Unfortunately, Samuel, you are the only one who knows Abel well and what he'd fall for," I whisper urgently. "Either tell him the situation has been resolved and try to get him to leave, or tell him a location to head with his soldiers that's away from here. Finally, if you think we have a chance, you can let him come closer, perhaps tell him to bring a herb or something, and then we can try to reason with him more when he's close." I point towards the Shackles of War.

    "Do you think he can be reasoned with?" I mutter nearly inaudibly to Samuel, enough so Kiray can hear and take up the cue as well, if necessary. "Alternatively, I can pretend I'm digging a grave for Yu Shu, but I'm not sure if they'd use here for that. "Finally, you could attempt to put him to sleep with that scroll I gave you."

I can't say I like the sound of delaying any longer than necessary, but I suppose you know more about this place than I do. It seemed relatively empty on our way in. I suppose there are still a lot of guards to fight though?"

    I just thought it would be interesting if a Hastened hero is poisoned, he loses twice as much health since the poison is spreading through his body faster...or whatever.

    I get up slowly and groggily. The poison is doing its nasty work. "Ack, Samuel! Heal me quickly! At least we can stave off the poisoning for now. From the way Yu Shu looks it will be far more difficult for her. We must rush!" I pause, "Thank you all for your support." "Kiray take these 3 Bones, and Equip the Soul Link Chain. Give the Cloak of Necrotic Shielding to Samuel as well." "Samuel, equip the other end of the Soul Link Chain and the Cloak of Necrotic Shielding. There is no point in you experiencing what is going on in my mind right now." So saying, I stagger towards the door.
