Right now seems to be a good time for Monk Pretzel to open a "Take a Progg to Dinner" restaurant. ...Not exactly sure where he'll open it though , but there are around 3,000 gold coins that are just itching to find their way into his pocket. Yeah, I can't understand it either, but I have to say, it's a wonder he was accepted on the quest, since everyone knows he's a chaos lover. I have to say though, that it's fun to watch. You'd think that some people would just accept his healing...but I think it's more in-character this way. Besides, Arthur could easily swap the healing staff, for another weapon when the heroes don't suspect.

Heroica RPG - Quest #59: Rito's Resolution

I heave a sigh of relief as the little devil stops his horrid squeaking on his "instrument." Finally, a time of rest... The noise starts up again. "When I say, 'Stop that racket!' I meant stop it permanently. Away with you, pest!" -

"Stop that racket! It's disturbing my meditation!" I cry. -
Quest #58 really is incredible. Huge decision there! I have to say I'm really liking how 61 and 62 are playing out as well. Great hosting thus far from the two new QMs and enjoyable role-playing from those on the quests as well. Welcome, KingoftheZempk! It's always great to have new heroes. Wait a minute...this is Arthur? Seriously! Just go ahead and eat Haldor already. If you drink a Smelling Salts you can act quickly before anyone in the party can stop you.

I have to say that I'm really enjoying Quest #60. It's looking great thus far.
-
Great to see you around here, KingoftheZempk! Been a while since Excalibur.
-
Come on, suckers! Time-wise, you have nothing on 42! Quest #42 rulez forever! Nemo, all the way! Actually, Brothers-in-Arms is one of my favourite quests ever.

Well, I wasn't about to make Pretzel long and skinny like the other dudes here. I was hoping to merge the cross and staff together so I could give him a scroll or book or torch, but alas and alack!

I may be slow, but I still don't get what was scummy about that post. And it seems a bit wishful thinking to think that all the scum would vote one after the other.

Heroica RPG - Quest #59: Rito's Resolution

"Really, it is not advisable to fight needlessly when the situation does not warrant it. May this be a lesson to you sell-swords." I head back up on deck. "So, a fishing line anybody? Captain, how many crew members do you have on this ship? And how many are the minimum required to sail it?" -
Please, please, please, if Arthur survives this, can they run a quest to cover this. Monk Pretzel will sign up. I know if he were to meet Arthur he'd probably love to kill him...but then again, he would hate the Teuthisals probably more.

Heroica RPG - Quest #59: Rito's Resolution
Palathadric replied to JimBee's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Well, perhaps I'll stroll down and see just how worth your money those sell-swords are, since it seems no one has a fishing line." I stroll down the steps/ladder and watch the proceedings. "Two-on-two, well done friends! Good work, I must say, but I must add that you're not looking good. Anyone care for a heal? Paladin? Mizuki? Maurice, it seems that maybe these fellows wouldn't be able to break through your armour if you had been using my shield!" If you don't want me to join the fight at this stage, then just let me know and I'll find something else for Pretzel to do. -

Congratulations, you finally assassinated him! It's just sparring, but I assume you will gain experience from it. but now if you are, it would seem really cheap for Monk Pretzel to join in now, although not altogether unlike him. I look out to sea. "Anyone have a fising line around here?" -

I would join in, but I don't think it would make sense from a role-playing perspective. Unless I just heal you up and you fight on. Maybe if you were to get beaten, I could find an excuse... "Odd story, I have to say, with the wreckage and the fellows leaving."The rich man, could it have been a certain 'Guffington' or something of the like. There was a quest up at the hall in regards to him some time back. I signed up for it, but then got called for a different quest. Perhaps that is your man. He is, apparently, supposed to be one of, if not the, richest man in Eubric."How long ago, did you say, this all occured?" -

Are you sure you cannot heal yourself? I wouldn't normally consider that switching targets, but I guess it would. -
Hervy strikes back! Very nice, Hinck! Now to see Draggy's "manly" longhouse.

I take a seat on the deck. "Gah, your mercenaries down there seem like troublemakers to me. Not that I don't think many heroes these days are troublemakers as well. It seems that all of Eubric is being overcome by a troublesome lot. I have to say though, that I am pretty your merc's, as you called them, were the ones who pushed for the fight, but I don't believe in fighting except out of necessity. Why injure oneself for no purpose. "I have to say that I tried to warn Mr. Harkenshire there, before taking the bet, but he didn't listen. You know, kids these days, always trying to be 'independant' or whatever. You see that shield, he's somehow holding there along with the rest of his items? Don't ask me how he holds them all, but he manages somehow...anyway, that's not the point. I loaned that shield to him for the quest since it's clearly stronger than the junky one he clutches in his hands, but he refuses to actually swap them and still clings to his old one. Ridiculous! Probably even if/when we encounter enemies, he will still be clinging to his old shield." -
My thoughts exactly.

I know! If TLG starts making Simpsons, I'm going to be plunged into a state of the deepest depression. Please, please, please, don't do it!

Okay, just wanted to know if it would effect counter-striking.

If Boomingham is confused, would he counterstrike his own party?

"Oh...you know...kids! They always get into trouble. I certainly hear the clash of armour though. Probably dueling each other as we speak. You know, your friends downstairs seem really eager to rip others off with their gambling games. One of my companions was a fool enough to actually try it out." "So, is this ship your own, or are you just borrowing it off of someone or having it on loan? If it's your own, how did you acquire it?" -
I totally agree. Black Knight seems under-powered.
