Why doesn't Haldor heal them? Afraid that he will start going for the bloody, ritualistic way out? You know what I think this whole thing of Karie thinking she's the sister of a Wolfgang member was just planted in her by the Stealer. He's obviously playing with Arthur too.

Good luck, Haldor!

Heroica RPG - Quest #69: The Hook on the Other Hand
Palathadric replied to CMP's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Not a terrible round all around. Excellent work, Erik! Keep at it. Let me attempt to weaken Drake so we can deal with him. Leave Morgan out. I'll take her free hits. We don't want to risk activating her special and it would be a waste to seal her right now. Mage, take Henry. Sylph, that orange thing is not going to be changing targets anytime soon, so I suggest you heal her up. I'll put you both towards the end of the battle order that in case a miracle happens, you will heal any of those who take damage. Erik, continue pounding that soldier, hopefully we'll weaken him. Nessa, take their leader and captain, you probably should do. Demon, I don't care what you do, but I don't want to see you stealing our loot again. Go fight someone who has no good jobs (Just for role-playing sake Pretzel is no doubt frustrated that the Opal got away from him. ). I attack Drake from the Back Row with my Heavy Flail. Battle Order: >Pretzel: Drake (Heavy Flail) >Erik: Colby (Titanic Axe) Just realized that Erik would be KO'ed at once if he fights anyone from the Front Row Dreyrugr: Drake >Nessa: Drake Illdria: Drake >Jules: Henry >Sylph: Heal Zasies (Unless Jules got a "Shield" roll.) >Zasies: George (If Healed Successfully, Fight from Front Row) -
Both lizards and the chicken too?
-
You don't know how spooky this sounds with the capital "S". I may be missing something as I didn't follow the quest very closely, but why are the heroes in 67 healing the weaker lizard. I thought they wanted to keep one of the lizards and the chicken alive at all costs. Shouldn't they be trying to kill that lizard and heal the chicken?

CMP, I think Bleeding lasts until the target is remedied, healed, or dead, not for a specific number of rounds. -
Bah! Everyone knows Monk Pretzel is the only real bad-megablocks Vampire Hunter.
-
Benji versus Party.
-
Did you do your own avatar? It looks pretty decent to me. Sandy, may I make another request? Remaining 36ers mourning Daxus.
-
Endgame, how on earth is that Wolfgang sucker holding his bow? Or is it supposed to be a boomerang? Odd...why didn't my posts merge?
-
Oh! Bonapartes versus Town Watch. Arguably the two factions doing the most for Eubric in a battle against one another. That should be interesting.

"What's this all about? Since when do Bonapartes attack friendly folks for no reason? We are not part of this crew. Why do you start fighting us. Methinks you guys aren't working for the Bonapartes at all, but this is all just a ruse to get money from this crew. Now granted, this crew does strike me as being one that could be dabbling in illegal activities what with this orange glob, the hobgoblin, and a mage on board, but that doesn't mean you can just start randomly attacking those who are with them. Got to have some respect people. Also, what kind of uniforms are those? Hardly the kind of seen the Bonapartes wear. And since when have the Bonapartes accepted less than fit sailors in their navy. Got to say, fellows that you're pretty darn suspicious. Come to think of it, the assassin we're looking for was dressed in blue, and you seem in an awful hurry to attempt to stop our investigation. Perhaps you had something to do with it? Humbug!" I strike at George from the Back Row with my Heavy Flail. "In any case, with my move from cleric to paladin-hood, I think I could use a new hat that denotes my change of position." "Druid, I disagree with you on one point. Leave Drake alone for the first few rounds. If we were to activate his special it would be rather devastating. Let me, rather, take his free hit, as it would do me very little damage. Rather try to seal Morgon. Battle Order: >Pretzel: George (Heavy Flail) >Sylph: Morgan (Scroll of Sealing) Zasies: Henry (Man! Zasies having a bleeding weapon and being a Berserker is such a waste ) Erik: Colby (Titanic Axe) Nessa: George Dreyrugr: George Illdria: George >Jules: Morgan (Water) Note: Only use my battle order if DLL thinks its good and if the others change their actions on time. Oh, and happy birthday, CMP! All the best for the new year of life. -
Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Palathadric replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
I kind of like this. It gives the opportunity to people who may not have started as Barbarians, but have played Barbarian classes for long enough that they've grown rather adept at it. -
Chivalrous? Screw it! You're a thief and you know it. You gave up all attempts at Chivalry or Diplomacy when you went Black Knight. They may like your intimidating them though...if they're into that sort of thing.
-
We can imbue consumables into our artifacts at the cost of 50 gold, right? It seems Docken may not need those scrolls after all.
-
Kintobor, you gave Johon too much gold again. By the way, Chromeknight has helped me give Pretzel his new Paladin look. Thanks once again, CK! Looking at this Pretzel, I am surprised how many of these pieces I don't own.
-
Not inspired out of character? That can't be good. No worries. Don't alter your quest because of one moaner.
-
You need to buy Nostrums. With Nostrums, the permanently hastened and the dualstrike scissors (throw in a mead too) you'd be one devilish rogue. As far as advanced classes are concerned, I think Sarge seems more like a raider than anything else, but that could just be me. Well, that's another thing I'm worried about. I don't want battles thought out over an pair of gloves.
-
We've been seeing how powerful the gold-gaining classes are though. They take over the Barbarians' jobs of being the heavy hitters, they can buy all the consumables they want, more or less, so they take over the Clerics job, entirely as well. Mages have their gems, but rogues can now easily buy gems and scrolls alike and create massive multipliers and a massive number of immunities as well. They can purchase Mulled Wine easily too, which is basically the same as fighting in the back row with full strength, hence the ranger's strength goes as well. They can't tank, but with the powerful SP-offering artifacts available, that hardly becomes a worry. I would hardly also say it comes down to great min/maxing, although I can't really say I know what that means anyway. But it's pointless to argue as I do think it would be very unfair for Flipz to take away Arthur's gloves now or Fugazi's either, so I guess all's well that ends well...or whatever

I use Diplomacy on the Sergeant, or whatever he is. "Sir, before you continue with your arrest, may I please be informed why you are attempting to arrest these people? It is very important for a case we are trying to uncover ourselves." -
Wow! We only have eight original Barbarians, and of those eight, four have gone raider. I really love the picture of William about to get whacked. He looks so content and at peace with himself and the world. And, oh dear, I don't know what's happening between Pretzel and Benji, but Benji certainly seems to be enjoying it. I of these definitely has to go on my wall...not the Bentzel though. Also, when did Erik change his look. I thought he always had the evil western face and I thought he'd pull a 6-gun out of his pocket at any moment.
-
Oh...perhaps I read it wrong.
-
Whatever. Go ahead and make your money. I don't really care.
-
I thought Sandy was actually against the everlasting venom deal, and it surprised me that Endgame went ahead and let the heroes do it, but I could be wrong. We also all know that about Healing Staffs which is why they no longer appear in the game and why there are always jokes/comments floating around about banning them.

"Don't be so obvious," I hiss quietly so the captain cannot hear. "Have they discovered any potential customers there recently? I don't know what kind of man Rorik was, but perhaps he had used an alias."
