  1. Pretzel follow Kiray and Karie whether to the marketplace or to the Wolf's lair. Petaldan follows Boomingham
  2. Petaldan readily accepts that Crook from Vindsval and grabs his own gear. Pretzel grabs his own stuff as well. "Torald, take that Mythril Mail. You will need it."
  3. I hand Throlar the Infernal Armour instead of the Shako. "Wear this. It will suit you better." Pretzel hands Petaldan the Armour of the Dark Arts, which the latter duly equips with the Cloak of Innocence.
  4. I dash out the door and grab the barrel with the weapons, bringing it back to the team. "Everyone grab yours and let's split!"
  5. "I hope all parties have sufficient potions and tonics as well... "By the way, I also have these artifacts available for use:" Armour of Dark Arts (SP: 10; Takes up: Bodywear, Handwear, Footwear slots; counts as one artifact; Suitable to Knights, Dragoons, and Skirmishers) Strategist's Shako (+5 power while in the front row, +5 SP while in the back; Headwear) Bloody Skull Helmet (SP: 3; heals wearer by the amount of health other combatants lose by *Bleeding* at the end of each round; Headwear) Duplovian Helmet (SP: 2; Immune to Magic and Healing; Headwear) Burning Knuckle Helmet (SP: 10; Wearer suffers Burning -3 effect; Suitable for Anyone; Headwear) White Ninja Cowl (Once per battle, the wearer can choose to hide for up to three rounds, avoiding Free Hits; the effect ends if the user targets an enemy; suitable to rogues, beast warriors, chi monks and infiltrators; Headwear) Lens of Speed Reading (allows a scroll to be read in addition to a normal action; Accessory; Suitable for scroll users) Scholar’s Codex (Makes negative effect scrolls deal non-elemental damage equal to the user’s level when successfully used, but also cost 1 ether more; suitable to scholars only; Accessory) Amethyst Emerald Garnet Aquamarine Ethereal Opal (Ice and Fragile) Scroll of *Sealing* Scroll of *Blindness* Scroll of *Confusion* Scroll of *Sleep* Scroll of *Frailty* Scroll of *Weakening* Scroll of *Minimizing* (Has 1/2 chance of causing the *Minimizing*-effect on the target; costs 10 ether.) 6. So the teams so far are: Oracle (5,1): Boomingham (2,1) Torald Petaldan (2,0) Eric Ezeran (1,0) Wolf Lair (8,4): Pretzel (5,4) Karie (2,0) Kiray (1,0) Throlar Dragon House (5,5): Atramor (1,3) Althior (0,1) Dyric (4,1) Hoke Matthias Undecided: Vindsval (2,0) Germ 1st number is Phoenix Essences, 2nd is Phoenix Incenses or their equivalent. I may have missed some. Pretzel hands a Phoenix Incense to Petaldan and a Phoenix Essence to Eric.
  7. "So Kiray, Karie, and Throlar, am I right? Are any others with us? Karie, do you have the ability to heal with your musical talents? I have heard of some able to do such, but...if not, we should probably have a healer with us and it seems to me like Althior is the only one available. Unless, of course, our 'veterans' can take on the responsibility.... Finally, do we head straight to the lair, or should we stop at the marketplace first? I believe some of the others would like to make use of the discount I can get them."
  8. "Torald, Ezeran, and I are going to find the Oracle with Skuld." Petaldan declares boldly.
  9. "I actually wanted to train as a Mystic Knight...but then I realized that we were short on healers...and I do like to heal people, if I can." "Let's make sure each party has a Magic Compass, so we have no problem finding each other."
  10. Petaldan approach the Copper Fox. "Sir, I quested with Mr Matthias before, and I have been observing his methods of healing people. I think we will need more healers if we are to go far, so I would like to become a paladin. I think if you would train me very quickly in the art of healing I could, possibly, learn as I go." Pretzel seizes Torald and Ezeran. "Are you folks going after the Oracle? I got a lead that you may find her to the northwest of here. That's the best I can do for you. Do either of you have a Magic Compass? If so, I suggest you use it." I turn to the others. "I'll go with the party to see Ulric. I can't say I have much faith in the plan, but the more faces they see of people whom they respect, the more likely they are to help in some way." I nod to Karie in appreciation for her help with the Smelling Salts.
  11. Pretzel swaps his Armour of the Dark Arts for his Order Imperial Prophet's Armour and then uses command on Fervent to say the following: Petaldan attacks any new enemies that may join the fray from the back row, if none do, he does nothing. Battle Order: Karie Pretzel Pretzel Throlar Hoke Althior Althior Atramor Atramor Eric Dyric Dyric Boomingham Ezeran Torald Germ Petaldan Matthias Vindsval Kiray
  12. Can Pretzel swap the Armour of the Dark Arts for the Prophet Imperial Armour and use Command in the same turn? Or is "Commanding" not a free action? If he can, he does that, otherwise...
  13. "Fervent," I address the Commander, "Face it. You're beaten. I believe you are right in your desire to arrest these men, since it seems to me that the may have performed actions meriting such a response from you. However, the rest of the heroes here feel differently and think that the two may be key in helping us to protect the people of this city. They want to give the two former veterans a chance to right whatever wrongs they have committed. At the end of the day, all of us here have the good of the city at heart, or at least most of us. You have worked with some of us before and should know that this is true. Now, Fervent, I am giving you one chance to surrender and leave with your men. You must also pledge not to return here again with your men. I believe that it is the best I can do for you under the circumstances. Please accept my offer, as your corpse on the floor of this...place, is not something I would like to see."
  14. I suppose, like in a normal battle, we can't just leave whenever we choose to, but have to use a Smoke Bomb, right? If that's the case, can we get a vote on who wants to do what. In character, both Pretzel and Petaldan would prefer to just use a Smoke Bomb and leave, but I don't mind staying and fighting it out either, since we've basically beat them. Should we use a Smoke Bomb or Fight It Out?
  15. Petaldan uses a Grand Potion on Eric. "I'm sorry, Fervent. I thank God that you stand again and I wish I could call a truce, but the detective with you practically radiates evil. I have work to do for the Heroica's founders in helping to restore this city and so long as he is here, he seems insistent that I remain, and not walk out of here as the free man that I am. So long as he restricts me from helping those who I must, I must bring him down." Pretzel attacks the Strange Detective from the Front Row
  16. It was supposed to be Pretzel's thoughts.
  17. As Vindsval brings down Commander Fervent, I grimace. These are good men, noble men, just doing their job and arresting traitors to Heroica and traitors to Eubric. Who are we to oppose them? I pull out my Magic Compass quietly, wishing it to point me towards the Oracle.
  18. Yeah. I figured so, but just wanted to be sure.
  19. "You could also just allow our prophet to use his bear..." Petaldan Diplomatically implores Paladin B to give up the Fight
  20. Would my: Dice Bag of Fortune (tool; when used on an enemy, causes their loot rolls to be rolled twice) produce worthwhile results if I use it on these enemies?
  21. Now I really wish Docken were around to shamelessly impart the knowledge of other threads to us, all the while coolly strutting about with a pitch over his all-seeing eye.
  22. "Unless I missed something in the papers. It seems odd to me that Hestia has fled, but the Bonapartes seem to be on the council...Unless they're just at Blackgull's command? Also, does anyone else see the oddness of being in a bar called Lady Luck's Locale? Would be mighty odd if she would suddenly turn up here..." Kiray also tanked his hit with grace in the first round.
  23. Petaldan looks for a weapon from the Front Row. Despite realizing that, being in the bar with the other heroes, there was no way he could come out of this mess without being implicated with them, Pretzel still feels that he cannot morally justify attacking the paladins and town watch. Besides, the others had the situation more than under control. Pretzel steps to the front row and looks for a weapon. "Will that actually work, considering Commander Fervent's abilities? Feel free to put Pretzel first in the battle order as no one can damage him, like at all.
  24. *Gag* *choke* "...no-o-o-o-o-o-o" Well, if you insist...
