Ragnarök Now Redux - Day Six
Palathadric replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Been discussed thoroughly by whom? You and your scummy team. Do I resemble you the most? Gah, that's hardly a complement. -

Wanna bet? In all honesty though, I don't think a townie would be nearly as casual about such an important lynch, as you are. -
Glorious roofing! That is a really nice house.

So, at least Mursi, despite his saying that I have to be scum, seems to have been thinking things over. You seemed eager all throughout to jump on the easiest bandwagon and don't seem to be even considering the possibility that you could be wrong. Likely, you don't care, so long as you lynch town. So, dufa, Finn, Canute, Helga or Snotra, and Wilhalm or Baulf, possibly both Wilhalm and Baulf...However you look at it, that's an impressive scum line-up. -

Is your math based on investigations you yourself admit have to be faulty to make any sense? It seems that at least one of those confirmed town by the investigator has to be scum, if so, why can't both of them be? Why can't the investigator himself/herself be? You talk about absolute facts, there's little in Mafia that you can call an "absolute fact," probably one of the closest things you can get would be an investigator's result. You seem to doubt those, so it leaves me to wonder how you've confirmed those who haven't been investigated or how you can be so absolutely sure they are not scum. If you're town, you really have no knowledge of how a scumster would work. If I were scum and knew that the likes of Dagstyrr was town, I would just blend into that group, not try to be the one that sticks out amongst them. Look at the bandwagon going against me. Most people don't even bother to say anything at all. Voting out a scum is never this easy unless there is an actual investigation result against him, especially if that scumster has almost half of the remaining live ones on his side. -

Which was kind of my point, I think. After stating just how unhelpful you are, you round up with the conclusion that you don't think you've been unhelpful. That helps Town a lot! Also, you may have said more than others but most of what you said has been asking people to state their suspicions and opinions and doing no work yourself. You don't seem to care which way this goes and would probably have been happy to vote for silent townies all throughout the game if you could've gotten away with it. I may have spoken less but I didn't spend all my time calling out quiet people. I may have been wrong in my suspicions, but I've not been taking the middle road like you where you don't really give any serious suspicions or things to work off of, but just float along with the game. -

Maybe taking a shot at sowing confusion. So you admit yourself that you've pretty much done nothing. I don't know how you find your actions helpful at the end of it all. -

I was first in the Battle Order so Romulus should've taken 12 Damage. I use a Phoenix Essence on Avalanche from the Back Row. Battle Order: >Pretzel: Phoenix Essence Avalanche >Romulus: Aepyornis B >Alexander: Aepyornis A or Hungry Bear >Avalanche: Silver Carp B I hope you didn't steal our Grogmas gifts as recompense. -

I think I've said why I think Canute is scum. He seems to have avoided the troublesome times and especially on the first days focused on just trying to get quiet people to speak up. Apart from that he's not really done anything noteworthy at all and seems to be trying to avoid getting into any serious arguments. I think it's well-nigh impossible that he's vanilla town, so either he's scum or a power role. It seems like many of our PRs are already dead including, but not limited to, a tracker, watcher, blocker, and vigilante, did I forget anyone else? So that leaves the options very limited for Canute. I know we have a claimed protector and investigator according to what Mursi has said before, so if Canute is not one of those I'd be pretty confident he's scum. Even if he is a claimed one I would be very unconvinced without some proof of actual helpfulness behind the scenes. Mursi, I don't think you're scum and I haven't for a while. The possibility is there, but you seem to be trying to coordinate things and I just haven't been getting a scummy vibe off of you. Helga I didn't have a scummy read off of at all this game, which is a bit unusual. I think I read her quite well usually and her alignment and this game, at least in the beginning, I've gotten nothing buy a townie vibe off her. Recently she doesn't really seem to be adding a whole lot and just drifting by which is unusual for her. Mursi doesn't seem to have given her a second thought though, but I don't think it's ever been mentioned whether she's confirmed or not. I think I've stated my suspicions of both Baulf and Wilhalm before. They're both hard to read because they just don't do much. Maybe I'm like that too. I don't know. I like to think I'm more "in there" and have actually tried to throw suspicions around, but maybe everyone else sees it differently. The heat seems to have disappeared from Wilhalm completely even though he was very close to being lynched a few days ago. His claim was very weak and one that I wouldn't put any trust in it. I have to say that it probably almost made me more suspicious of him than I had been. Perhaps he just claimed that in-thread to get people off his back and claimed something else behind the scenes but otherwise I have a hard time believing him. Snotra could blow either way. I lean more as town on her, and I certainly won't vote for her today. I think I'd rank my top suspects as Baulf, Wilhalm, and Canute. As far as your math goes, I know it must be off because I'm not scum, but unless you're utterly and completely deceived or scum trying to ensure that one of two townies is the one to go, I would tend to think that perhaps your reasons for suspecting Baulf are legitimate, so I guess I'll go ahead and vote him. Vote: Baulf (Bob) Although, of course, judging by the length of our beards and that no one with a beard close to our length was scum I would totally consider myself, Mursi, and Canute as the most loyalest of Einherjars. -

Even though I think Baulf is likely scum at this point, I do have to question your math. You seem to think that both me and Baulf are quite certainly scum, yet according to your math only my name appears. Also has Wilhalm been confirmed or why is he out of your list of possible scum? I have to say that he would be on my list probably alongside Baulf and Canute. If Wilhalm is seriously trusted (and it appears that Helga is too), then I have to say that something is wrong with your investigator. Have either Helga or Wilhalm been investigated? -

Still think Canute is the most suspicious one among us. I've said it before. I kind of doubt the scum would get two kills at night anymore after this, because if they would it would likely mean that we are finished whether we lynch scum or not, but that doesn't seem to be the case from one Harald said. -
This is just incredibly brilliant, Legonardo! It's just perfect. Can't begin to ask how you did it. You do your angled buildings really well!

Heroica RPG - Tidings of Comfort and All That Sh*t
Palathadric replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Dear Monsieur le Baron, It was a great pleasure to visit and stay the short while in your city. What a splendid place! I have told you before how fascinating I have found it. I just wish that someday I will feel free to retire from my difficult life of trying to change the world and be able to live a peaceful life in a place such as yours. Unfortunately, as we live above ground, we see so much evil and there is no way that I can, in all good conscience turn my back on the world and let it slip on in its abysmal state, so I'm forced to keep plugging on and doing what I can to make this world a better place for all. I still worry for your establishment. I pray to God that no evil will befall you, but I still think it's only a matter of time before the enemy seek to destroy your peaceful city, so here, take this Teleportapple. It should enable you to transport yourself out of harm's way should you ever need it. I'm not sure how it works or how many people it can transport, but let it be a last resort should you need it. I wish you well and hope to visit you again someday! --Monk Pretzel -

Dear Warlock Hoples, It was a pleasure working with you and with the Town Watch. At least there is someone trying to do some good in this wretched place! I noticed you appeared to not be feeling too well and as my mind was preoccupied on the task at hand, I forgot to offer my healing services, but here, this Remedy should get you feeling better, if you aren't already and should remove some of the stress and worry. I also couldn't help but notice that you didn't have a pair of Shackles with you, so here, have my Shackles of War. They should serve you well in apprehending any troublemakers in the area. Even if you do already have a pair, I'm sure one more couldn't hurt. Much success may be yours, --Monk Pretzel -

Dear Erdathcath, It was a great pleasure questing with you all that time back. I have to admit that you changed my perspective on druids a fair bit. I met one of your kind in another quest -- a druid that is -- nothing really like you though and he covered his face with a mask all the time...anyway, that is irrelevant. From what I can recall, you had quite a taste for venoms or rather you were gathering quite a collection. I thought I should add to that collection so here, have 5 Venoms. May they be used to slay whatever demons hinder your progress. --Monk Pretzel -
Merry Christmas to you all!

So just did a clean Windows 7 install on my laptop and I remember now why I've been avoiding it. Each webpage with any pictures takes forever to open. Hopefully between Christmas and New Years I'll have a better internet connection though, alternatively I might have none at all.
