Great quest, Sandy. It was a lot of fun to follow. Some nice and new(t) ideas.

Heroica RPG - Quest#92: The Prophetess and the Warrior
Palathadric replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I can't agree with you there. If you call this 'tomfoolery,' obviously a number of their party were hurt by it. One must always consider the consequences of ones actions, even if the original act is made only in jest." "Gods stuck in Dastan are no gods at all," I retort. "God is not limited to borders and boundaries the way humans are. A 'god' thus constrained is merely a weak impostor. Also, it's not your place to judge whether what these men did was really silly or not. From their honourable ways, I believe they may likely have been trying to act in the best interests of mankind to the best of their ability. They may have made errors in their judgement and I pray to God they did, but who knows? Let's hope that this quest does not bring a problem on our hands." -
...Maybe when I get back...if there's no other quest to go on.

"Hmm...well, I don't know why the smoke and all, but they did seem honourable enough. Are you quite alright, princess?" -
Condolences. No kidding! So, Byblos didn't turn around and destroy the whole party. How dull!
-
He's got to be a devoted fan then.
-
Nerwen would beg to differ. So, those scrolls of Arc "---", if they were imbued into an artifact, would they protect the whole party from the negative effect.

Hate to always do this, but no ether should be deducted for failed healing. I recall Atramor mirroring the U'kin devil to death in Dastan, but I can't recall how he did it.

I attack Sir Abel Justice from the Back Row with my Flying Cross of Follow any Suggestion Offered. "One of your party is down and another is on his way. Shall we call it what it is: a victory for us, or must we continue this fight?" -
Kintobor, I just noticed it this time, and I'm not sure if you've been faithful to keep up with it, but Hybros' Sword should increase by 1/3 WP for the kill he made.
-
That weapon should go to Galen.

You made Cicero Jinxed. -
So I have a number of second characters that I've thought up, but one of them was totally going to be a male human (teen-aged ) rogue who would just be out for money all the way. Kill, kill, kill; blood, blood, blood; sell my soul to the highest bidder. But I realize such a character may not be the most fun to play. I still think I'd go with the Toddler knight, but I can't find any way that he would be related/fit (forget how the actual requirements were worded) with Pretzel's character.
-
You obviously need a Holy Steak (Instantly kills demons; light-imbued). Otherwise, you could ask a Paladin to call on Ennoc for you. I think I have a pretty good idea of what it might be.

So, I just installed another hard drive into my desktop and I wanted to run a POV-Ray render to the new drive by adding the "Output_File_Name=..." to the Master POVRay.ini file. However, I got a "IO restrictions prohibit write access to ..." error. I removed the restrictions and tried again, but then I got the error "Cannot create render state output file." Any idea what the problem could be? I get the impression that it's something simple, but I get this error whenever I try to change the directory of the render from the directory of the .pov file.

Tucking my Flying Cross away into my cart, I swagger forward (Front Row) with my Dual Staff and Attack Cicero (Double). -

"At least you appear to be an honourable sort. I am led to believe that you are more honest men than I originally though. Trial by combat it is. Beware though, as a direct servant of the Lord of Light, I can tell you with a clear conscience that He will stand by me." I Fly to the Back on my Cross, striking at Daniel from a safe distance. "I really should be fighting from the front row," I mumble. -
Pretzel throws a coin at Karie's feet. "For services rendered at a later hour."

"I still don't understand what makes you fear the book so much?" I ask. I continue diplomatically. "Unless you give us a good answer, I think we will have to keep going after it. If you want to stand in our way, so be it, but I really don't see the need for fighting among ourselves just over a book. If you think it's so dangerous perhaps you...one of you, could come along and take a look at it and we can decide together. I'm a reasonable man, if the book is a menace I will destroy and I trust you will do the same. However, I also trust that if it's of no serious concern, then there's no reason why we can't get it. By the way, the offer of you coming along is from my part. I cannot say the others will agree, but it seems a reasonable compromise. Perhaps we could learn more about your Order as we go." -
That's what I meant. Throlar rolled damage, when Avalanche was standing in the Front Row.
-
In Throlar's attack, since Avalanche was fighting from the front row, it would've been 7/2. Of course, that wouldn't have changed anything.
-
Hey! Awesome drawing, Khorne!

"You have still not answered, my question," I say, growing somewhat frustrated, but still speaking diplomatically. "How do we know that what you are saying is true and that you really know this book is dangerous or whatever. For all we know, you may want it for yourself. I hate to say it, but besides your small assistance in fighting off those fake Wolfgang members, we don't really have any knowledge of you or your organization or what you're doing and whether you've been of any help to society or not." -

"So you are saying that the Order Imperial do know about the knowledge contained in the book and are trying to keep the knowledge from others?" I turn to the princess. "Do you know more than what you've said about this book?" My tone is not demanding. "Do you think it may contain any knowledge that could be a danger?"
