  1. Normal damage.
  2. "You wouldn't happen to be eager to give away that crown would you?" I mutter more to myself than to him. "Well, I wish you success with your endeavour," I say rather glumly, still inwardly kicking myself for letting the commander surrender when we could have killed him. Idiot didn't even have any words of thanks for sparing his life. How did saving him benefit us or anyone else anyway? I wonder.
  3. "And any chance that I could get armour like the kind you're wearing? I have yet to see one of its kind in Ennoc. Besides, If you give it to me, I'll give you my Heavy Armour for it, plus some. It looks like you could use immunity to fragility," I chuckle.
  4. Okay, so they will be double the level of the hero they target? Got it. Interesting method of balancing the battle.
  5. KingoftheZempk, I'm not sure what your plan is, but if the enemies don't have a particular level, how will free hits work? You may want to at least notify the players.
  6. "From the priestess herself?" I gasp somewhat stunned, but then say diplomatically. "But surely she would realize that there is a better option. If she were here she would realize what is needed to do. Sometimes people not at the scene itself do not understand the situation fully. The dead do not deserve this kind of treatment. Listen, Fervent, what are you fighting for now anyway? Your backers are dead. Why hang on stubbornly when there are better options and nobler ones too?"
  7. The enemy you're fighting is lucky. So you get the worse of the two rolls.
  8. "Whose orders, may I ask? Please do not tell me that there are more servants of light who are in league with necromancers. It is against everything that we, as children of the light, stand for. One must follow orders, but I would assume you were made a commander, because you knew how to make decisions and were trusted to make decisions that would follow the path of the Lord of Light. Instead, it seems, you have leant to your own understanding. I do not side with an abomination, I set the captives of shadow free. That is my calling. Perhaps you would not understand since you seem to have only the most basic of knowledge regarding the light and the power and position of God on some matters. The dead must be treated with respect and not forced to work in camps such as these. Would you not even prefer to have this place closed to the undead so that you would not need to mingle with their kind down here? Truly, it is all for the best. Now surrender so the hand of God will not be forced to chastise His disobedient child too severely...if you truly are His child that is."
  9. Wait, Alistair is defeated or not? "Fervent, listen to your lieutenant. She speaks well, you can tell that the angels of Ennoc side on our side. Even if they are making out in a corner instead of protecting us... Anyway, it was very wrong of you to attack a priest as you did. I would have expected more from you. You have given yourself over to necromancers and in doing so sided with the enemy of Ennoc. Ennoc may forgive you, but for being blind to the truth when it was laid out plainly before you makes me wonder if you are true servant of the light or just a heathen clothed in the robes of righteousness. If you surrender, I shall take you to the temple of Ennoc and pehaps a priest shall preside judgement, but you shall be stripped of all titles, armour, and weaponry until the time that you are indeed cleared of this grave and grievous offense you have committed against the bodies of the dead." I Repeat my Attack, assuming he doesn't surrender and give up his drops.
  10. Yeah, the Welbeck deal sounds crazy to me. I really don't see him doing much to "fix their attack," but I guess anyone is better than Sanogo. Hopefully Walcott will be back sooner than later.
  11. I used to be palathadric...now I'm Palathadric. What will I pull next? Not sure if Guts is quite as eager to let his money go since he's not a Raider any longer, but otherwise you could get a very pretty penny from him...very pretty indeed.
  12. "Heckz, that Amethyst won't do much against Fervent. Take a look at that armour he's wearing. Try a different gem...so long as it's not a diamond."
  13. Lieutenant Ferfew, encouraged by the presence of her Guardian Angel which no doubt proves that she's fighting on the right side, Hits Fervent hard from the Front Row. "We all make mistakes, just some people are more ready to patch theirs up," I mutter.
  14. Yeah, time zones can be an issue, especially in Mafia. It can be pretty frustrating when nothing seems to happen all day when I'm online and then everything seems to happen at night. I'm actually really surprised how quickly #36 moved back in the day because we were located in such different corners of the globe.
  15. I Repeat my Attack. "Well, clearly your lieutenant has been more greatly empowered by the light than you, commander? Since when have even the paladins abandoned their rightful duty? I thought they were the last remaining light in this dark world...seems even some of them have gone astray! Disappointing! Bitterly disappointing. "I agree with our lieutenant though. I would like to know how you died, Retak. Necromancy is not an art quickly learned, clearly it is not one that you originally picked up for the returning the dead to their graves. I am beginning to suspect what may have been the cause of your death..."
  16. Would my Fragilizing Fervent affect only this round or next one as well? "Thalion, strike Fervent twice. The Paladins will be defeated when Heckz throws his bomb."
  17. I grunt in annoyance. How is it that shady fellow knows more about my stuff than I remember. "Shouldn't have put that diamond in there," I grumble as I hit Fervent with my Heavy Flail.
  18. I should have the Dual Staff and Thalion should have the Alpha and Omega. "I knew this would happen. That's why we should have cleared off the undead first!" I stare in surprise as Atramor gives concise rules in rapid succession. "I'll be! At least you've got a good mind inside that stubborn head." I stare down at the paladin. "What kind of paladin are you anyway who sides so readily with necromancers?" I hammer down on Fervent with both ends of the Dual Staff from the Front Row.
  19. I was going to past a note about that. Truly soul-stirring.
  20. No problem. Always good to see returning members though.
  21. Myrddyn, I see you and I hope to see Erik in action soon.
  22. "Fine," I agree weakly, unable to make up my mind but siding with what seems like the easier option. "Let's do it then. Although I sure hope somebody knows how to get us out of here once we're done." I feel weak and sickly someone. It felt strange and utterly abominable to know that I would be fighting alongside a horde of demons. I clutch my staff for support. "Let's get this over with." I say, moving to stand alongside the other heroes. Why can't heroes just hold onto their bloody equipment like they did in the old days?
  23. "Furthermore, he raised this army on his own it seems. He could just do so at other holding planes." The burden of deciding for Heckz made the decision no easier.
  24. I stand there for a while uncertain how to proceed. Go against my employer, even though he is indeed a necromancer at least he seems to be seeking the help of others even if his methods are entirely wrong? I have never failed a quest. Will this be my first? But then should I go against the wishes of my party and my party leader? I have never done that in all my time at Heroica either...apart from once, but he was clearly in the wrong then... They are right in many ways. This is a fine pickle. I turn to Atramor. "What has changed for you? From when we first encountered the sniveling creature, we knew that there were necromancers running this place and what their practices were and yet you still fought to protect them. What has changed now? Why didn't you side with the undead then?"
