The 2014 is the absolute best, I have to say the 2022 one is not great at its front but i do like the back of the locomotive and the carriages. When I first saw the leaked list i immediately thought of a city video I remember seeing in 2014. I wish we could have a similar locomotive to 60052 for the upcoming train. It's been a while since we've had a single cab locomotive. I could see some kind of infrastructure being included but I highly doubt it will be some kind of station as we're having one this year as a standalone set. Ps: I can't believe we are having trains again next year! The time passed so fast! Extra Edit: What would you say if instead of a bus, taxi or maintenance vehicle, the future train stations could include a dummy locomotive? I think it would be better for play value and gives you a better reason to collect the sets for kids. And now the trains just include 2 carriages!

True but given the fact that some of these names are misleading translations of say, german retailers or platforms, it's uncertain. For last year's January list, the leaked name for the prison island set was "police station with prison", even though the set is everything but a police station. Also It's hard to think a Artic Explorers collection needs a PASSENGER Train.

Any thoughts or speculation about the new Artic Train? I believe it might have a new system, as both the Freight Train and Powered Up Remote Control are being discontinued. Bummer there is isn't a lot we can see currently. I personally think it's going to be a cargo train type set, with the same elements as the the old 2018 mobile base, with the exception of the Saw Blade Vehicle.

I wish LEGO could maintain some of their older values, if they did this set today it would be lacking a lot of elements. I doubt they make a actual monorail ever again, if it had a motor it would be a "knockoff" passenger train, ot it would be something similar ot that Monkie Kid set from 2022

Greetings! As it's been 20 years since the beginning of the City Theme, and LEGO (supposedly) failed to launch anything to celebrate the date, I thought I would create something myself. It's inspired on set 6464 From 1999 https://brickset.com/sets/6464-1/Super-Rescue-Complex 60468 - The City Composed by 3 buildings, each one representing a subtheme from the 2005 wave. Building 1-Fire Station-Small Building With A 2-story tower and a small garage on the side, includes a small fire truck. Based on 7240 and 7239 Building 2-Police Station- 3-story tower with 2 modules on both sides of the tower, one being a parking space for a small vehicle, and the other being a small holding cell with space for a helicopter to land on top. Based on 7237. Building 3-Engineer's Office- Small office for a construction engineer/architect, includes a decently sized desk to fit schemes and projects on top, 2 chairs for a client and the architect. As We didn't have any sort of actual building in the first construction collection, the building will be inspired on the subtheme but not a actual set. Features blueprints of 7240 and 7237. Vehicles: -Small Street Sweeper, based on 7242; -Construction vehicle: Yellow truck with interchangeable back accessories, working similarly as the 60414 fire truck. The first accessory being a crane with a selectable accessory (excavator bucket-thingy and a hook), and the second being a dump truck accessory. A combination between 7243, and 7249. -Police Atv-Small Atv with enough space to hold a Police Officer and a Prisoner/Crook. -Fire Fighting Vehicle-Small Sized Fire Ladder Truck. With an actual hose! -Police Patrol Helicopter- To celebrate 20 years of ®City, "The City" features many elements inspired by iconic sets from the founding subthemes/collections of the theme. Fire Fighters, Police Department and Construction! Edit: While I was dreaming of a celebration-al set for 2005 city, I thought of a small park with a statue resembling the motorized speed boat.

Ever since summer 2023, the design team director is a former member of the design team for both ninjago and monkie kid, now accompanied by a former Speed Champions designer, they lead the City theme, but they now pushed too hard on vehicle sets. When the 2024 summer list got revealed I thought there were fewer buildings because 2025 might have another banger wave full of new buildings and 2024 would feature many great vehicles. Looks like I was mistaken. It doesn't make sense, never have I seen a wave that could easily be the January-March 2026 one instead. 20 years have passed but the evolution is quite low, many new and repetitive versions of vehicles, but not for buildings and structures. Yes we've got the harbor after 13 years! But where's the airport? 9 years and we haven't got a solid airport. 8 years without coast guard. 5 years without a Service station. The current police subtheme is now worse, no actual rotation, if you want a police vessel type boat you have to find a 3rd party vendor...) There hasn't been a single non 4+ fire truck as a standalone set since 2016. The great vehicles became worse(we didn't need another sports car after 2 years). Public transport and fire vehicles are locked inside either d2c's or Big sets. LEGO City needs to change. Edit: What would you guys wished to see if City had a 20 year anniversary wave?

This summer list is utterly disappointing :( 20 years of LEGO City and all we get is a weird assortment of sets. Very few but expensive explorer sets, a weird police line up and nothing worthy to replace the Downtown. Why end the life of many building sets if all we're getting is Vehicles? Airport? No Hotel? No Car Workshop? No Hospital? No City Plan? NO! Not even a new police station good enough to replace the current one to match the new looks.

I hope next summer isn't focused entirely on vehicles, unusual to see lego retiring the trains sooner. Maybe they're working on a new concept for future train sets?New components? In theory next summer will feature a brand new train line-up, a "My-City" type of subtheme, (I wouldn't expect a explorers lineup) and maybe a new air transport collection. But off-topic but Friends is getting a brand new Airport set, and it features many details that would be perfect for a modeen city airport, with a small jet instead of a huge plane to not bump up the price and not taking much of the set the way they did it in 2020

I really like the Junkyard, nice idea, good concept. Good that the cars don't take too much in the set as a whole. The Modular Spaceship is interesting and the best out of all the modern space sets (2024-5), good looking and compatible with this modular system. The Great Vehicles seem different than usual in the design, the introduction of the bigger wheels don't look well on the smaller cars. The Off-Roader (wheels look bad, too boxy) and The Beach Rescue 4x4(good vehicle, bad front bumper) are the worst of the line. And Finally a Non 4+ Ambulance, A REAL ambulance as standalone! Really curious about the rest of the sets, specially the F1 Mercedes Set
