I love the fact that the team is the same since 2023. The head prints stayed the same with new attire. The new Johnny Thunder reminds me of the 2003(?) Orient Expedition sets. Looks like their plan is to focus on the 3 best-selling explorer subthemes, maybe next year will focus on deep- sea, hopefully a cool underwater Base. And then 2027 gives us a big cargo plane and Expedition Camp in the Jungle. Final Note- 2024 Classic Jungle Johnny 2025-Artic Johnny 2026-Scuba Johnny?

Lower structure is the exact same as the 2024 tram, it's easy to just copy the design of the shell. I seriously hope the wacky additions are removable. Hell I'll insert the garages in my stations and count them as expansions. The spaceship seems nice on the top, so I won't bother. If the d2c is a no limits set, dear god what will happen to the next airport?

Would love to see a bigger wolf piece. Not a reshaped dog. The train is somewhat disappointing but on the other hand it features more scenery and originality, which I'm curious to see. Fateful doesn't state that the train features motor and battery, instead saying it can be "connected to a remote control". Not sure what that means. Either way none of the powered up components exist anymore, so maybe there's another train set? Also maybe the tower can be rearranged, the ramp on the right doesn't seem to be trapped within the structure of the tower, possibly being removable, and I think the same about the garages, who knows? But the normal building looks pristine without a doubt.

Weird mix of things, remove the garages and ramp off the main building and it would be better. It's clear this is the same bloody thing as they did 5 years ago with the Main Square, a huge set based off their series. I don't think it's bad but the mix is goofy. I'm just curious as to what the middle building is. Hope this no-limits clap-trap ends soon. It's clear this wave is focused on giving sets that fit well in the series and the values, action vehicles, and the least of buildings possible. The 2024-5 wave is 50-50 some amazing sets like the Lego truck and some not so good sets like the no limits ramp. Also both of the No-Limits sets feature a somewhat New-York Style design, right?

Good but not the best, yes it features some actual seating. But it's just divided with colors. Unlike 7893. Nice modern plane besides the back wing thingy, it's just awful. Next jumbo jet set must be at least bigger, a all passenger 60262. City has returned to it's og pattern of vehicle design: Actually Big Crane Actually Big Trucks 8 Stud Wide Vehicles(not all but some) Can it return to planes?

What would you consider as the worst era of city ever?

I feel it’s a bit empty, nice exterior but maybe could’ve had a small kiosk/cafe inside. And ever since 2021 introduced the My City collection, I was hoping for even more sets. I wished the Fire and police stations stayed 100€, with 2/3 vehicles. 2022 Police Hq is a great budget station but the 2024 lacks structure and looks weird, given that none of the land vehicles can properly fit inside the garages.

Well, my collection lacks airport material, same as seaside material. Trying to get 7994 is a nightmare nowadays, and 4645 has already started to get difficult. Only proper airport is 3182. 7894 and 60104 are just not worth it to me. Trying to get farming structures is hard enough. I strongly disagree with your opinion about the impact of 4+ as it clearly ruined or participated in the ruining of 2 sets. Waiting 13 years for a Juniors Farm? If Juniors still existed the Design team would just have to focus on creating not so simple but not that advanced models in their theme. And what was wrong with the Juniors Theme? That theme didn’t interfere with others. And it annoys me to have to wait a lot for my most wanted sets, but a little bit to my most unwanted sets.

Time will tell, I’m trying to finish a city layout with a modest but not huge budget that can’t cover a overpriced second hand set and it’s shipping because it had either a short production period or a single exclusive piece. But preferably want a similar looking set. I want buildings, but not just me. Can’t we have that at least? Nonetheless modern day city is a train wreck of a theme. Has it’s ups and downs. The later 2010s were bad enough with each building suffering to give focus to the vehicles included.

So by your logic City never had a new idea? Ever?!

Have we a theme that’s just vehicles? Every day vehicles in system blocks and minifigure scale? Closest thing is Speed Champions. A bunch of sets 20-something vehicles and ONE building. Just like classic speed champions. Its obvious the F1 subtheme is part of the yearly cross-theme range of sets.

Want specific ideas? -Cargo Center, like the one in the 80s -Post Office -Central Park -Theme Park, not Park Attraction -Lighthouse -Factory

Return city to it’s prime. Stop the Speed Champions conversion.
