For three missing ones from the initial list, I'd definitely throw Ventress in there, and I'd add Cody too for representation of my beloved 212th. Cad Bane would probably make sense as the last one just to have some bounty hunter representation. But Yularen could be a good pick too, if you can find him for a good price...

This isn't meant as a dig at you, but I couldn't help myself from writing 'well of course they look the same, they're clones, that's rather the point'. But in all seriousness I like the way the ARC-170 looks. Maybe the engines could've been bigger but I like the use of the ice skate. Am I right in thinking Oddball and Jag never flew together, at least in this ship? I'm not complaining if so as it's nice to get both figs at once, just curious. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

Love @ARC2149Nova's Felucia idea - I actually think a microscale one would be better, you could really capture the foliage of the planet that way. Otherwise: Battle of Scarif (microscale, to get most of the beach and tower) Battle of Takodana Mustafar duel Fathier casino chase And I don't know how well space battles would work, but a microscale Battle of Coruscant would be cool. Maybe with some floating Separatist and Republic ships, a few tiny starfighters, and the light patterns of Coruscant on the base. -

Yea, that's another thing I've noticed about TLG in general. Seems to me they've started being more like other big corps in that if it's not positive, the policy is to spin it or say nothing, rather than being honest. Which I agree is more disappointing. (For some reason the image that popped into my head is that 'nothing to see here' gif from the Naked Gun, only it's all LEGO and the caption is 'everything is awesome'...) To bring things marginally back on topic - the advent calendar appears to be part of the Black Friday sales, at least here in Europe, if anyone hasn't picked one up yet. -

Thing is, I think designers often get wheeled out to answer questions like this that aren't entirely within their control to change. A lot of that Brickset interview - which was really interesting, and I'm glad they were afforded the opportunity at least! - did essentially seem to boil down to 'we don't have the budget'. With that being the number one constraint a set is given, there's not a huge amount they can do to change it once they've been told what it is. Particularly so once IP taxes are taken into account (which might just be me, but seems like these have got worse in the last few years, not just for Star Wars). All that being said - I agree that some of the answers were unsatisfactory at best. -

To be fair, SC has been doing that for a long time. IMO they're still some of the best value for money if you want cool building techniques at an affordable price. -

The Smyths website said €29,99 IIRC. €44,99 for the interceptor, €69,99 for Home One. Pages were live as of 20 minutes ago but they appear to have been taken down already. -
Well, yes. That is the policy on Eurobricks: no direct sharing of leaks.

There was one shown at SW Celebration, so I would hope/imagine it isn't too far off. -

Holy moly, this is awesome! It looks great next to the Venator. So... What is the next ship in the fleet? Invisible Hand? Acclamator? -

Did they say when the results of this poll would be announced? Or will the spaceman just pop up in a set with no prior warning? As a side note - orange space torsos appear to be back in stock at PaB. -

People discussing Star Wars, and the sequels at that, online, and it's all pretty civil? What planet is this? As far as sequels go, my order of preference is definitely TLJ - TFA - TRoS. Even if there were a few moments in TLJ that raised some eyebrows, and it could've been a half hour shorter, I liked the overall vibe and character developments. And visually it's a stunner (Crait and the Kylo-Rey fight in the throne room especially). TFA is fine, TRoS was a victim of poor production planning IMO. If they'd had one person in charge of the whole trilogy it might have come out better; the story beats of all 3 movies is enough to give you whiplash. Overall film ranking for me: Rogue One, TPM, the rest. You can't make me choose! To get back on topic towards the end, I like the sound of a Kylo helmet. It'd be awesome if they had parts to swap between its TFA and kintsugi TRoS design, but I doubt that's likely. -
What is your favorite Space set? (One only!)
TeddytheSpoon replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Great question, which made me realise just how few space sets I own! Of those I don't, I've always loved the Mega Core Magnetiser, and if it counts, the Technic VTOL ship that's currently on shelves. But I'm a sucker for the Life on Mars sets for nostalgia reasons, so my favourite is probably 7315 Solar Explorer. Honourable mention to 5981 Raid VPR too, which I loved and was my introduction to the Vic Viper concept. -

But at the same time, LEGO techniques have come on leaps and bounds since even then. IIRC the Andor set was surprisingly roomy for its size? -

I don't think it's a surprise that the Tales series didn't get any sets - they were essentially shorts, so probably don't have much commercial appeal. -
I normally think of the helmet giving enough extra height, but it does make the proportions a bit weird. What might be a better bet would be to put 1x1 plates on his feet. That can sometimes make figs look like they're wearing platform shoes, but since it's all black I don't think it would be too noticeable.

The IT-S I guess, so 4 years ago? Although I don't know what it was involved in in Galaxy's Edge, to be fair. Perpetuus would be neat, but it's time for me to toot the 'Radiant VII needs a remake' trumpet - if we get a capital ship from TPM, it should be that one. -
If you mean the part that holds the pilot in, it's a 'camera' style SNOT brick plugged into a pneumatic T-bar. The rest of the body is simply a set of click hinges, with plates and the Mixel ball joints attached to them.
-
For playsets I agree - synergy is good! But I'm not sure I like that strategy with €500+ UCS sets, especially when the companion set seems egregiously overpriced.

As much as many have talked about wanting more Glup Shittos, I think this is the bigger miss for me. I can understand why, say, Han or Lando weren't included, as they were never actually on the barge, but I do think Luke at least should have been there. It's a bit hard to stage the big fight at the end with just Leia (badass though she is) and the two droids.

Thank you! Thanks, I'm surprised how much love the small suit is getting! I wouldn't say it was thrown together as a tablescrap, but it wasn't far off... Funnily enough, I made the same comment over on another site! I don't have any magnets unfortunately, but it shouldn't be too hard to fit some to the arms, or onto the back of the suit. I'll keep an eye out for some...

With M-Tron currently in third place in that poll, I figured there would be at least some people here who might like my latest MOC! I started making the hardsuit on the right intending it to be a generic near-future military one. The design was partly inspired by a clone-brand mech that a family member brought me back from a trip to Vietnam (which I did build, but it wasn't a pleasant experience!). I took some liberties with the M-Tron colour scheme; I wanted the hardsuit to be an extension of the figure, so it's got a bit more white than you might see otherwise. But putting one figure in that suit left me with a spare manipulator arm, so I thought I'd give my second figure an upgrade! I wanted to make something a bit more minifigure-sized, and I took inspiration from existing exo-suits that are more like external mechanical skeletons. It's only twelve pieces but it still has a decent range of motion, even if the arm movement is a bit more limited. Thanks for looking, I hope you like them!
