  1. That's only in the small picture I guess. This is me with Ted
  2. That's true....I already noticed this. And now (off topic) GTA is joining the party...I really need to win the lottery so I can quit my day job. But it's fun to do and the EB members (well most of you hehe) are very friendly, which makes it a great addition to my Lego hobby. And let's face it....I am a better Regulator than Builder
  3. Congratulations!! Very nice entries. Well done
  4. Looking forward to seeing some of your work! I was really hoping that TLG designed and included Rotacasters with the EV3 set. Much better than the metal caster ball, although that's not too bad for simple robots.
  5. Keep calling me Ted okay. Wouldn't wanna disappoint you
  6. I haven't seen any information on this matter, which of course doesn't mean that people aren't testing this. I will do some research and let you know. I guess MRDS should be made suitable for EV3 or the other way around, which might not be the case yet.
  7. Hehe no problem. Some of friends even call me Ted in the real world, so I will respond to both names
  8. Sure, I'll do a mini review on all parts!
  9. Your Order #300148 is en route to the 3D printers
  10. Thanks! The short explanation is a few posts back: Nickname changed
  11. Hehe I know what you mean. Had the same feeling last year. Now I still need to buy the Crane Mark II and the Tow Truck, but I am still interested in pictures of course. Always an exciting moment. Sorry if you thought this post would include pictures
  12. Thanks guys!! I'll do my best to keep things well-arranged and pleasurable! You can always contact me (PM) for questions, suggestions, hints, tips, small talk A little explanation about the name change; my actual name is Jim, but most of the time I use (Gekke) Ted online in forums etc, cause I don't need my name going around Internet everywhere. Since I am on this forum regularly for quite some time now and I am using my real name in the Mindstorms Facebook group, I was contemplating using my real name here as well. The guys (Bonaparte mostly) convinced me to do this. It's easier for all of us Thank you for getting me on board!
  13. DrJB I moved your question over here. Please scroll back a bit. Some issues have been covered in this topic. Have you tried powering the brick down, restarting it, going to iPad settings screen, making a new connection from there and then start the application again? Read from this point: EV3 General Discussion - BT and iPad
  14. @DrJB I moved your question to General Discussion http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77892&st=425#entry1697098
  15. By no means I am an expert, but I've built my share of scale models. However, this is the first time I've heard of Airfix. In The Netherlands it's mostly Revell and Tamiya. But I could be completely wrong
  16. The Mysterious Black Vision Command Camera
  17. Not sure whether this will help, but check it out: Modifying Power Functions to allow more options
  18. I think this is pretty self-explanatory
  19. Agreed That's also exactly what I was thinking about. The HiTechnic sensors are not an issue....because they look like the real deal and you can't replace them with a Lego counterpart. Third party tires are okay because they fit a purpose. But using a 1x4 liftarm isn't, probably because you can solve this in another way. It's a thin line....let's keep it to that
  20. That's what I meant....because you use one channel twice Not really sure what to do about this though. That would be nice! However, you need to modify the remotes as well.
  21. Ahhh indeed, the Star Wars easykits. Was looking for some SW models some time ago, only to find out that there aren't many kits, besides the easykits.
  22. To clarify this problem a little bit...you have a Zorex with 3 IR receivers and you have a modified 8264 with 2 IR receivers, so obviously you are a channel short?
  23. I tend to agree with all of your arguments
  24. Maybe the Kids nowadays are not into plastic gluing and painting anymore. They probably don't have the patience for it. In order to keep up Airfix is trying a different approach. Not to replicate Lego per se, but to lower the bar on assembling model kits. If I am not mistaken Revell has a product line with quick assembly as well. My two cents, could be entirely wrong. Exactly what I think If you don't compare this with Lego too much, I actually like the idea. The paint and glue is fun, but it's not suitable for every kid.
