  1. Hi, We are lenient when it comes to discussing some non-LEGO brands, but I am not sure MouldKing is one of them. When I visit their store, I do see these products: https://mouldking.store/shop/leji-1661-the-police-station-with-2923-pieces/ https://mouldking.store/shop/mould-king-21015-minifig-scale-at-at-w-interior-with-6919-pieces/ And when I Google a bit, I come across stuff like this: https://brixxtoys.nl/mould-king-lamborghini-sian-compatibel-met-lego/138117 While they might seem like a legit company, this does reek of plagiarism. Other than that they seem to steal MOC design. Article on Rebrickable. @Polarlicht What makes you think it's legal to copy designs and sell them online?
  2. I had to make a final (what does final mean in the world of LEGO) order for storage bins to fill all the gaps in the drawers and cabinets. I'm pretty confident I will be able to store my Technic parts for the foreseeable future Pics of the final (currently final, final-ish) setup will follow.
  3. I will split the posts and merge them into the show us your working place topic. The discussion about my "New Era" continued in the Working Place topic.
  4. Well, at least you do have to space in your rooms. The current setup is suboptimal, I do understand your predicament. But there is room for improvement. Overall, the available space seems to be sufficient. @Seasider What's in the two big closets? (actually one big closet with two doors)
  5. Let's change the topic to IKEA General Discussion Thanks Ian! Very happy with it. I will get a new shelf tomorrow to place on my desk so I can increase the distance between the monitor and my chair. Pictures will follow.
  6. Who thought I would ever type these letters in this sequence to form this title... [TC23] Great Ball Contraption Contest - Information Topic It's not online yet, so no need to go looking for it
  7. This contest will run for a while, so no worries.
  8. These are very nice. I started sorting my collection using similar ones (Stanley). They are a bit expensive and inconvenient when your collection grows. That being said; I still use them for parts I don't use often (a.k.a. everything non-Technic).
  9. Soon. Soon-ish. Could be next week already.
  10. Yeah, absolutely. That's indeed where this belongs.
  11. Thanks. Too bad the Ferrari doesn't in between. But I can stack them pyramid style
  12. Lol. Bring it on. Yeah, that cabinet is very nice indeed! And I love the cars on the wall. They are already using 1% of the global wood, so every optimization results in using less would...and more profit. Win win.
  13. My first thought was that there had to be an L an R door. If it only were that simple. I just can't imagine how they made/designed this to begin with I have started working on my Robot project. Lol, true that. Already mounting a red plate?
  14. Since my LEGO room is operation again, I couldn't resist to start the physical build. The assembly is okay in terms of measurements etc, but those wheel hubs sure result in a lot of slack. Makes me wonder if it's too much. Maybe it's not that bad when the final robot has four of these assemblies, but I am not convinced using the hubs is the best solution.
  15. You are welcome. We already had the desks and one of the cabinets, so we simply added some more. It's a bit white overall, but we like plain and simple And yes, I need to "calibrate" the doors of the cabinets. Fun fact; when you rotate an Ikea door the center hinge isn't at the same height anymore. It's one "stud" lower than the other side. Really? Yes, really. That's a real PITA when you have calculate the drawer position by the stud. I ended up omitting the center hinges on two doors. You don't fool me Ikea!! Being a LEGO builder I was baffled. I would have been baffled it I wasn't a LEGO builder. What kind of poor design choice is that?! There's even an official statement on the Ikea website about it.
  16. And the beginning of a new era. The new office space (for my wife, Kitty) and my new LEGO room are 99% done. This is my new work space. Although it's actually my LEGO work space, because I always work in the living room. I like to work downstairs, although now it's tempting to work in this room as well. The iMac has been replaced with a Macbook and 32 inch display, so I won't be needing it anymore. The old beast served me well. Got it in 2013 and it still working like a charm. Obviously not as fast as the Macbook, but I could still edit my pictures on it without any problems. This is behind my desk. My Technic Pick-a-brick wall if you will Drawers in each cabinet. This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago. Now it contains more bins I used to have one of these, but having three gives me a lot more space for my Technic parts. And a separate drawer for the liftarms (black, white, lbgrey, dbgrey, yellow and red). This used to be the balcony and now it's Kitty's office space. All things considered, I'd say it's a pretty decent upgrade. Time to put those BMW tires to good use!
  17. We need a GBC Contest General Topic with all the rules and we are basically good to go. There has been some planning before and there were even some prizes (third party). But there wasn't (isn't) a captain to take charge of everything.
  18. They can still participate. That won't be a problem. But someone needs to take control and make the setup/rules.
  19. And I would like to get the Non-Vehicle contest back on the table
  20. I would like to do something non vehicle or something else which is a bit different than usual but not limited by PU or programming etc. We can do that…but not for the “big contest” at the end of the year.
