  1. I have heard this before, but my research indicated it was a user-specific issue, not a forum/topic one. I think it was @Peppermint_M with the same issue.
  2. I have one still built. Could easily swap the panels. But I need to finish the remaining reviews and I am working on my robot project.
  3. When it comes to Robotics, you do whatever you have to do Yesterday, I replaced LEGO axles with metal axles. Means to an end.
  4. Not for the purists, but a good solution to save some money. They sure are expensive.
  5. Great review Doc! It is actually a fun little set.
  6. Could do with a little less indeed.
  7. Hehe. Well, technically you can probably do with that list. At least, it's way better than this list!
  8. I see that I haven't uploaded it to my Flickr account yet. Here's the complete part list though
  9. Can you maybe send me an example, because I am trying to figure out how to call the method. I can't seem to get the syntax right
  10. I can post the part list tonight. What you see is what you get.
  11. I am not really bothered with this one to be honest. I guess the Porsche took the cake
  12. Also for one of the motors? Not both. I will check it out, thanks. I can’t wait for my metal axles and other stuff (big battery, screens) to arrive so I can rebuild my robot. Working on version 6.2 and I have a good feeling about this one
  13. One can dream though But I think you are right.
  14. Just give it a go. You will enjoy it, and learn a lot.
  15. This works like a charm: mb = LargeMotor("spi0.1:MF") mc = LargeMotor("spi0.1:MG") mb.on(speed=-50, block=False) mc.on(speed=50, block=False) But I am wondering if I can use MoveTank with one reversed polarity motor.
  16. Interesting question. I am totally NOT sure, but I would be surprised if the EV3 can't handle 9.48V. But I would love to hear the experts opinion as well.
  17. Thanks for the tip. I made the most obvious mistake. Only one of the motors was turning * apply face to palm * Yesterday wasn't my brightest day :( Is it possible to change the polarity of one of the motors, since they are countering each others movement now?
  18. That is indeed what it looks like. Good point, I can test without the turntable. I am not sure whether I will use this gearing btw. Maybe I will switch back to smaller gears, since the final robot will be quite heavy. But that is a different discussion. I will do some testing tonight.
  19. Yup. They tend to put parts in multiple sets. I reckon this has something to do with warehouse space and logistics. The yellow panels are probably not in any of the 2019 sets, so it's better to use black ones and apply stickers. Warehouse space is limited, even for TLG.
  20. The only downside is that people need to actively go the subforum. We can leave a pinned topic in Technic, with a link to the subforum, but it might easily get overlooked by casual bypassers.
  21. I don’t have any updates, sorry. Broke down the chassis, because it was just taking up space. Have been working on Mindstorms projects lately.
  22. I don’t do video reviews. I prefer high quality pictures Besides that; there are other members who are much better at videos. They will pop up in a few days. Yup, indeed. Could have mentioned that one as well.
  23. Unfortunately, there is no proper way to cross-post. I will just let this topic reside here as well. Thanks for the interesting info. Here's a link to the Train Tech forum.
  24. What is the best way to synchronize two motors. I am now using MoveTank, which does work. But I do see some unexpected behavior when I test it. Motors running at 50% power. It looks like the motors are speeding up and down and it takes some time for them to synchronize (make sure to turn on the noise). Motors running at 100% power. At 100% things seem to run smoother.
