But now these rival companies have the same liscenses at the same time. I have some of these Mega Bloks (or even Minimates) figures, and as mush as I'm a Lego fan, I dare to say they look really good. Some (Irom-Man) even better than the upcoming Lego verions and that Hulk figure is 0% Lego. (I am a Spiderman fan, so that is why I have some Mega Bloks) I"m also interested in the price differeces with Mega Bloks. Lego always had the same excuse that liscensed sets were expensive, but so far the Mega Bloks liscensed sets are rather cheap. The difference in the quality of the used plastic is also slowly fading. I just don't have a Lego feeling with these new themes and I hope they don't take the place of old clasic themes. But if so, so be it, the kids should decide... Anyway, now we also know which Lego computer games will come up in the future.

Some of them look really weird. Can't help thinking Lego is copying Mega Bloks again. It used to be the other way around. From a commercial point of vieuw this is also very strange, Marvel and DC togeather? Having the same liscense as your main rival...

That's toystores in Europe. For some reason Amerikan kids/collectors buy every theme, in Europe we are more selective. Price of Persia didn't sell well, neither did Toystory.

just edited my post, but no I haven't, still I doubt this will work in Europe.

I agrea, it's good to knwo how mush money you will need. But, the way I see it, sets are on sale for 2 years most of the time. I always try to grab the sets I want within these two years. It's the same, but it requires more patience That is indeed a good idea. But I that only solves this site. I really like The Brothers Brick, there are some cool things to see on the blog, but also spoilers... That's exaclty my point It takes away the fun. That is also tru, I just think it's human. That is not what I ask. I just want to start a discussion and make a proposition for an alternative frontpage. I want to know if I'm the only one who feels this way, if there are others...
-
@ Stegoceras, I already use the forum as bookmark, but every day I check the frontpage once, if there is a big spoiler in front, it's difficult to unse @Parrothead Rasmus, speculating and hoping is a totaly different thing than speculating and knowing I think.nNot going to Eurobricks is no option.

Hello, Maybe it's been discussed before in the already 600 pages long 2011 topic, but here I go. I'm actually getting bored with all those spoilers and endless speculations about upcoming sets. Not that I'm curious, I am very curious. But I remember when I was a kid, or an adult collector without internet. I was always very exited when January was there. Which new sets and characters would we get, hunting all the local toy stores etc... The thing is, now we know what will be on shelves next year, by the time the sets get out, I'm already bored with some. That is also a good thing because it saves me money. But still, I collect these thing because I'm nostalgic for one reason. Not knowing which sets there will be in the near future is also nostalgic I guess. One more thing, Yoda once said to Luke that his mind always dwells on the future, never on the present. Strange that the Star Wars fans them self are the ones who look the most to the future of all collectors. So here is my question, to the members and the board. Is there a way to get a front page with no spoilers on it. I'm always curious about cool news, but I want to avoid the spoilers. An alternative front page or something. I can imagine Lego can only like this. Anyway, I'm gonna try this, getting trough this year without knowing which sets there will be next year. I'm just so curious about what the effect will be.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Bobskink replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
great typo, I wonder if you did it on pupose. Anyway, big army's are cool, but it would be mush cooler to see them displayed in some scenere instead of a table or were the major intend is to brag. edit, damn, did typo myself and totaly screwed the point -
Snow camo, what else?

I completely agrea. To bad Lego didn't make the tree modular in some way. That way, if you buy multiple sets you can make a bigger tree. (of course it's Lego and you always can) but they should exploit it, to get more money.

Really POTC is not in Licensed. No wonder I didn't find any topic. But does this mean the one on Bricklink has an error?
-
Got this Special Jack Sparow today. But his head is different, there are grey vertikal stripes on his face. Anybody had the same? (no pictures yet, to dark now)

All the sets are already for sale in Belgium. But I bought a Duplo Cars2 set :)

Carded Lego Indiana Jones Mini Figure Kenner Style
Bobskink replied to markpoon's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very cool, were do I order one. But it would also be nice to see one with the regular picture. -
That is actaully I really original play on words. Mush better than the one i did in the discription. No problem, different opinions. When you paint them by hand, it's somethimes very difficult to do these things. But I do think that some general minifigures there eyes are to close. So probably why I did the oposite. Thanks for the comments people.

The Christo Ki Adi Mundi... Didn't the people of the Video game created that Ki Adi Mundi?

Been a while since I took pictures of my customs. All painted. Now they just need a van...

Here in Yurop it is, for a while now, but not in every store.

I think so to, they keep photographing er from above so we don't see her that well. It's like they are a litle bid ashamed of how she turned out.

Very, very gnice. Compact and a lot of details.

REVIEW - Cars 2 - 8423-1: World Grand Prix Racing Rivalry
Bobskink replied to lightningtiger's topic in LEGO Licensed
These sets look better than I thought. Still, they are maybe a little to pricy, I don't see them selling well because there are no minifigs involved. I Love Cars and all the other Pixar films, but there is to mush Lego to chose from these days. BTW, Funny revieuw, well done! -
These Alien sets are great. For me personal they have the same feeling old sets have from when I was a kid, 20 years ago now. So far all of the new sets (exept for some castle) failed to have this cool aura around them. Could be that kids of these days don't like em and still focus on Star wars, but I do anyway.
-
This sets reminds me so mush of Megablocks. The colors, the new molds, the whole POTC theme itself, it's just not Lego. These movies are dark and simply not for children. I don't see the connection with Lego.

very well done. I always wanted to make one myself, will be impossible to beat yours.
