great idea

They will just redo Han's hair next year, from a commercial point of vieuw I think it's not smart to change them all and put them togeather in one set. Next year, a new Han, in a new big pricy set. It's an easy strategy and they did it multiple times so far, new versions were almost always introduced with € +100 sets (mostly a Millenium falcon).
-
They just seem to be doing the wrong changes, from a fanboy point of vieuw and from a this really needs an update point of vieuw. It's to bad, I just hope that the salesnumbers will prove them wrong.
-
Exellent (don't have mush to ad)
-
I'm happy that I'm not alone in my opinion for once. I know it may sound hard, but I kinda hope that the new Millenium falcon sells bad. Hopping that some people at lego will see that their sets are becomming to expensive and that new versions doen't mean better versions.

Man, am I happy that they didn't change Darth Vaders helmet, the picture made it look so. Don't really understand why they changed Leia's hair, it was good, same goes for the regular Ewoks BTW. It's also kinda disapointed they didn't paint the horns on Darth Maul and the other guy (I can't remeber his name). If you do sush a change, you must do it right from the start. But the good side, Darth Vader stays the same Chief chirpa is also very good.

There you have a good point

I do, but I don't think it will change that mush, it's just a litle more parts and printing. I am sure that they can save the extra cost somewere else. The set would also be more appealing, so it would be a win win I guess. For example, I will pas on this set, no mather what the revieuws are, but if the set would have cool minifigures, I would probably buy it no mather how bad it is and still give the game itself a try. That's the good thing about Lego

I am a regular board gamer, my friends even mush more, but as mush as I love Lego and Board games, I think they are overdoing it. 10+ new games a year is just way to mush. I can't imagine that this overdose on new games is good for the general quality. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't played all the games yet. Also, when seing this new game, the oly thing I can think of is, why not do this with minifigs, it would look so mush cooler, the characters would have real personality, you can ad weapons, the possibilities (as a gamer and from a comercial point of vieuw) seem endles. But now, with those tiny figures, I just think, pas, I just will buy another regular boardgame.

If the two pieces would be of equal quallity I wouldn't mind and you would be 100% correct. But for example, I don't see any good combinations for Shaak Ti's headpiece. Wat's the point of making a very detailed Ki Adi Mundi head when there is a horizontal line in the midle of his head, all the way around. Aayla Secura is one of the few exeptions, because her headpice is an actual headpiece. Anyway, I have the feeling that everybody is happy when it's new and the fact that it's new is the most important fact.

meeh, those new figures don't look that good when seing them in close up. I understand that lego is trying something new, the compitition is hard, but at least it should be an improvement. Luke his new hair doesn't like his haircut at al. My gues is that it's a new hairpiece they made for an other minifig and just tried it on Luke and thought is was good enough. The new way of putting headextentions on figures, isn't thurning out that great either. The colors aren't matching (I was very diapointed when I god a Shaak Ti today) and the contrast between a regular minifig head and e overly detailed extention is maybe a litle to mush. I don't unserstand why they didn't make a whole head at once, seems easyer and cheaper. It seems that they are working on every part with mush detail and comitment, but fail to see what it gives when all the parts are put togeather. BTW, Wats wrong with Darth Maul's eyes

They all are, but lucky for us, they aren't unique characters, there exist other versions of them. The real Gold and Bronze versions arent actual minifigures, so they don't really count. Didn't know there was more than one pink R2, but to bad, life goes on without, there will always be someone wwith a bigger collection. George Lucus doesn't count, he's not a SW character. The rest, if you want those, you can still find them.

Contructive members like him are rare. He will be missed.

Javert's Custom Decals for LEGO Minifigures
Bobskink replied to Javert's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Those look good, but I think that they are a litle bid to small. I think you need to work on higher resulution and you will also be able to ad more detail. -
Been a while since I posted some customs. So here goes. Two of the Ewoks should actualy have a black body and one dark brown, but these parts don't exist yet , also, I need a better camera.

sounds cool, but it depends on which versions you want to make, the comic or movie versions. I actually pefer the comic versions, but most people know the movie versions I presume. Anyway, the list above sounds good. I would do the same. For a comic version of Hitgirl I would for example use the female nurse hairpiece.
-
Yup, those are Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn. very god work.
-
This is very cool and a good idea. Is it poissible to insert the rotating part more inside R2 D2, so there isn't any space between his head and body? Anyway, good work.
-
Very cool. I love the Terracota soldiers, your Lego version is very cool aswell. I want to see more!

Review: 2257 Spinjitzu Starter Set
Bobskink replied to tin7_creations's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I wanted to buy this set for the parts, for the blue ninja and for the typical chinese hat, but that last one is not included, even if it's pictures on the front card. Kinda strange, because Lego is always very accurate on the contents showing on the box/blister. -
Please borrow my idea. I don't celebrate christmas either, but my girlfriend wanted some christmas lights so I made her happy and I made myself happy. Next year i'll do the same but then there will also be series 3 and 4, so it will look mush better. Maybe ad a Lego stable aswell... It would be cool if someone did a themed tree.

hmm, now I see this again, I think I've put this in the wrong section, kinda misinterprated "The Embassy". Sorry for the inconveniance mods, but the message still stands

Here, one quick picture. (note, the Ninja has black hands, I replaced them with yellow hand, to match my other ninja's)

Well, the enouying this is that I'm so bussy. checking eurobricks daily for 15 minutes is doable, but making a whole revieuw is very timeconsuming. When you do a revieuw, you must do it good. I'll try to take some pictures just to make you guys happy. Anybody want to pm their e-mail address, so I can forward the pictures, I really don't want to spend my evening uploading, hotlinking etc... (I work 7 days a week these days, hope you understand my lazyness.
