  1. Is Toy News International related to EuroBricks? You click on the comments and it takes you to something that looks exactly like EB.
  2. Woah I just noticed how detailed the outside of F&B is too... those birds are so cool!
  3. It’s been one of my favourite bits from the start. I like how they stole the Barracuda Bay window technique haha
  4. Damn the interiors are amazing Now there are non potato photos! So packed with details! Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes is jam packed with items and colour, especially with those vibrant banisters. Ollivanders has cases stacked full of wands, as it should be - a higgledy piggledy jumble of stuff. Quality Quidditch Supplies is quite empty but the items that are present are really cool, the folded jumpers are a nice detail. Flourish & Blotts is full of colourful books and tables. Although I’m a bit disappointed there’s no spiral staircase. Florean Fortescue’s is small but has plenty of stuff for the space - and the tiled floor is really cool.
  5. Wow, exactly 600 pages on the official reveal! Edit: oh wait, not official yet
  6. Lol at the Daily Prophet photographer, with the caption YoU hEaRd iT hErE FiRsT
  7. I think it will be femtoscale. We’ll literally be building with bricks the size of grains of sand, and when it’s finished it’ll be approximately the size of a 1x1 LEGO System plate. Also, jeez, can this guy get an IP ban already
  8. Woah, I wonder what it could be. The twins in their WWW uniforms leads me to speculate it could be Diagon Alley? That’d be pretty neat
  9. Yeah, I saw the picture of the movie DA here earlier and it’s been a while since I watched it, so I’d forgotten how narrow (uh it’s an alley) it is. Due to the wide ness of this set, and the not so wide box, it’s forced to have a very wide street. I can see why people don’t like it, it’s certainly an odd box art.
  10. Am i the only one who likes the box art? Lol Jeremy Herbert is awesome! Absolutely deserves more subs. He’s really thorough but also you can tell he’s a huge HP and Lego fan. The fact he’ll do older sets as he buys them makes it feel like we’re buying them with him. His videos are also very thoroughly researched. Jang is awesome too but I don’t think anyone needs telling that lol. One of the things I like about him came across in his Mario review - he said “I’m not a Mario fan so don’t know all the details” and yet he’d somehow made it seem like he knew exactly what he was talking about. I guess it’s very well researched. (It’s at least much better than some of the gaming channels now covering Lego stuff and not really knowing what to say... often they just review how every Lego set works lol. Although some have been really good.) Sorry, back to Harry Potter!
  11. Pretty sure we’ve all seen and shared this video before (if not, watch it, it’s amazing) but I really like the approach to the brick wall here (8:48 if the time stamp doesn’t work): https://youtu.be/Gto-pVghjoE&t=8m48s
  12. It’s on their story.
  13. I’m building an extension in the roof like the Burrow, just for this set Nah, I have no idea... my bedrooms gonna need some serious rearranging!
  14. Great Hall is on offer at Amazon DE (make sure you tick the apply coupon box too), and you can also get €6 with a €50 Gift card Here Which arrives immediately so can be applied to your order, if that’s any good? Not sure where you’re from but it’s easy to use foreign Amazons. You can pay in euros with a fee free card if you like or use the Amazon converter (Actually that €6 voucher offer could be useful for many of you :) The offer runs till 31/8 and I think the voucher lasts a while longer. Amazon even mucked it up when I contacted them asking for a link an gave me a second one!)
  15. They’re all on base plates aren’t they? Edit: oh I’m dumb lol, pretty sure it’s dark red
  16. Yes I’m really liking how they’ve done the higgledy piggledy Look throughout! Really adds depth. And makes it looks magical like in the movies!
  17. Lol just saw the photos vanish - lego_fans_news has deleted them. Was very confused!
  18. okay thank you :) and oh I didn’t realise that was the leaked Florian, I don’t think I was paying attention when that leaked and didn’t care much as I didn’t know who he was!
  19. I don’t wanna open this can of worms between us again but I don’t think you’re in the majority wanting to make a long two sided street... many of us just have (or don’t have, oops, lol) a shelf to put this on, where you can’t make a two sided street, as you’d only see the backsides of one lot of buildings. Yes, making them have closed backs wouldn’t prevent this, but it would massively increase the depth for little addition to the set (except on the price, that would be a large addition). To make a two sided street you need a table so that you can view it from all angles, and most of us don’t have the space.
  20. Was Minilegogo the first to post the Harry Potter minifig? Their story has that image with “oops ?” and also the same for another minifig who I can’t remember. What do you think they’re meaning by that? That whoever leaked it mixed up the factory parts or something?
  21. But that’ll be enough time for everyone to get bored of waiting, make a MOC (or download instructions for someone else’s) and spend loads on BrickLink
  22. Also, apologies to everyone I shot down about having street - it adds some nice depth. But also I’m glad it’s not too much!
  23. Seems to be a lot of discussion about the colours of shops. First, this set is absolutely bursting with colour and I love that - it’s exactly as it should be. Second, I have no issue with QQS being pink, but I think it’s perhaps a bit too large a quantity! Third, something seems off about WWW. It could be the rendered images but it seems very plain on the outside... lots of orange and lots of lilac. I feel it needs some accents in both texture and colour? Probably looks better in person though.
  24. What would you guys think if they replaced Hogwarts Modulars with a couple of standalone DA modulars? Or maybe if the Hogwartses were medium sized sets. The fact they Wouldn’t work as standalone always came up in these discussions before, but the ones left that people want, Gringotts and B&B (Not sure Leaky Cauldron would work as standalone) would work on their own.
