  1. Maybe I’ll have to look into getting a PS5 or XBox sometime, since it’s not looking like it’ll be on Switch. There’s probably tons of games I’m missing out on that I’d love anyway - but I’ve always said I’m happy as I am. Darn it, why do I have to pick the expensive hobbies :P
  2. I think you can import models into Stud.io? Or maybe it’s just the parts... ——— So, I bought the last of the 2018 sets for me to get, Whomping Willow. I have to say, I’m not a massive fan of the tree; the way it goes from blocky brick built to smooth with stickers to branches seems kinda clunky to me. I also feel like the top of the tree is extremely sparse, I guess for the car play feature. Has anyone found a good way to bulk it out a bit?
  3. Sorry if this has been mentioned. But at 4:36 in the Designer Video uploaded by Lego, are they some prototype shops in the background?
  4. Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Interesting interview even without that tidbit
  5. I shall definitely look at getting it then! It’ll probably be a low priority set but I’d definitely like it. Oh lol, someone noticed - I fancied a change Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. *hopes they get the reference and don’t think I’m insane...*
  6. When I first saw Hedwig, it was the set I thought "nah I won't bother with that". But the more I think about it, the more I kinda wanna get it!
  7. Yeah, I agree it's too much to ask, but I can always hope :) I've found the distributions kinda surprising - what I'd expect to be the more popular figures, like Dumbledore and Griphook, are most plentiful.
  8. I absolutely loved the grunts in Lego games. It really allowed the Lego humour to shine and they could tell the story in their own way - whereas when it’s ripped from the movies they’re restricted to the movie in a way. When it’s Original voices it’s okay but I still prefer the grunts. It means you can’t tell what’s going on exactly, but Lego games are more enjoyable if you know the source material anyway. And then you get the jokes much more ? It might also be nostalgic speaking to me though lol. Indy 1 was both my first Lego game and first video game. In conclusion, both approaches are okay. I would love if TT Games took Fans’ requests into account at E3 last year and have the option for both, like they said they’d consider.
  9. Oh that’s great to hear, I’m always looking for more wands! (I’m never looking for very long though... )
  10. I think I agree. While I’d love more Hogwarts, there’s only so much they can do before it becomes repetitive (and large!). Put it this way - if I had to choose between Bell Towers and a scene within Hogwarts like Chamber of Secrets, or Battle of Hogwarts with a little bit of courtyard or ruined wall or something (actually, a ruined bit of Hogwarts would be awesome!) you know what I’d choose. The Burrow shows that they’re not restricting themselves to Hogwarts - I would enjoy if they moved on to other stuff like Gringotts, Shrieking Shack, Ministry of Magic - especially as going elsewhere becomes more of a focus in later films.
  11. Lego clearly aren’t bothered about scale. It doesn’t need to tower above the other buildings like it does in the movies. DA is $400 and has 4 shops, so Gringotts being $100 would allow it to be the same size, and with a decent amount of interior.
  12. Yeah, there were a lot of classroom builds, which were difficult to fit into a larger Hogwarts. Now, everything fits together and is a part of a recognisable part of Hogwarts. However, this has come at the expensive of being able to have lots of classrooms of different teachers and offices and stuff IMO. And it also makes me wonder how they’d do a Forbidden Corridor / Chamber of Secrets set, although I’m sure they’d figure something out!
  13. I haven’t been on for a while as now Diagon Alley is released, I presumed there’s not many rumours... (I hope people who’ve got it are enjoying it, I’m very jealous haha) But I log in and what on Earth is going on here?! Guess I shall read 30 pages of discussion I missed...
  14. https://mobile.twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/1300780552254099456 I feel like the start of this Tweet my TLG is mocking us wanting a wall
  15. That’s pretty cool. Although kinda a shame that the instructions spoil it lol
  16. £370... I feel shafted
  17. I completely disagree. Diagon Alley is a huge set, of course it’s expensive - it’s like 4 Hogwarts expansions in one. And in terms of the Main theme sets, they all seem roughly the same value as the 2018 ones For the amount you get for the price. And I think they’re cutting less corners - compare the interior of the Great Hall Tower to the Astronomy Tower, the difference is stark.
  18. Haven’t heard of or seen any in the UK! Still hunting for Mad Eye Moody, Harry and Hermione from the first series... but they’re getting rarer argh
  19. Am I in a Black Mirror Episode???
  20. Lol this would be a marketing nightmare... all the kids asking for Diagon Alley for Christmas and getting a set they’ve already got! I’m playing the Lego game remaster
  21. Uh... a monster book of monsters set?
  22. Happy birthday @Modal, unfortunately we didn’t have the same luck as when it was @Lego-Freak‘s
  23. Here’s a handy link https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/1188-the-eb-glossary/
  24. Just buy what you want and can afford. No one is forcing you to have a complete collection! If you see a set and think “cool, I’d like that, I’ll make some space for it”, then save up and get it. If you think “no that’s not worth it” then don’t buy it! :) Also, now now, too little space isn’t a valid excuse, your Lego will just have to displace other stuff I’d start with non essentials like the TV, cupboards, the toaster, and then if you need to you can move onto larger stuff like sofas and fridges. I moved my bed out last week - never going back to it.
  25. I don’t think they’d be making great big stacks of books using the book pieces with no studs!
