Thanks, appreciate it Admiral M, I might start a thread for the two to get a bit more attention. Unfortunately I had to tear them both down last night for a new creation, so if I make a third space it won't be next to it, or I'll just have to take a picture from the front and edit in. Still, I'll have to see if this project is continuing first before starting a new one myself. Batbrick Away!

Firstly, thanks for the sweet pics, seems earlier each year we get the prelims. I take back what I said about the Raid VPR set, the ship looks fantastic for such a small set. It has an opening cockpit and is nearly airtight; which will only take a 1/3 brick raise at the back to solve anyway. It also has controls that aren't just one joystick. The wings at the front are great too, very useful for space. The minifigs are great still, I love the alien's names, even though the geek inside me realises it doesn't make any sense for an alien being to have a concept of an Earth creature on their own planet and then be named after it. Unless of course he was born on Earth and just had cruel parents Batbrick Away!

Love that new Creator house, I didn't buy the one form this year because it was too expensive and I didn't want even more red slopes. The dark blue roof on this however is great, and even tohugh I'd still prefer a tan building the white is great. I probably won't get it unless it is cheap and on sale, but definitely a great winner for 2010. Batbrick Away!

Loving the new Space Police III look! The new space Police helmet is fantastic, it'll be very useful for a number of other things. And they have oxygen tanks now too! The new coloured aliens are great, can't wait to get lime green Kranxx and pale Squidman, can never get enough Squidman. That said, I'll be disappointed if there are no new aliens next year. The first actual set doesn't look all that fantastic, though there are some great white parts there. The Squidman set however is fantastic! Love the mix of purple and yellow, and that yellow windscreen has me excited. The construction is a lot better than the previous Blacktron vehicles, I love the use of those side engine piece. And cannot state my love enough for that purple! Plus more notes are always appreciated, and that ATM is nice and spiffy, I love how different it is, well done on the designers for making it have a very alien design. Hopefully there are more sets to come, but I can be satisfied with these! Batbrick Away!

Man I love that big creature of the deep, which form hear on out will now be referred to as The Leviathan. Excellent use of Batwings, though I'm not sure if I'll buy it. For one, it's limited addition and ordering is far too expensive for me if it doesn't come here. For two I'll have to wait and see if the set is as good as it looks on the box and worthy of shelf space. And three, it needs to have some good parts I can scavenge if I do eventually take it apart. Again, still kinda mixed on this set, but I won't be getting it. Really, really hoping that silver Agents armour comes in a cheaper or better set though, as the Agents one disappointed me when it turned out to be printed. Batbrick Away!

I do like it, and your army is quite neat. However I think it is too boxy. As a prototype for the finished product it is great, but I would recommend searching for pictures of really good Lego castles for ideas on how to add some better architecture to yours Batbrick Away!

Wow, that Hideout set sounds fantastic for the price. Even if it is more expensive I'll be definitely getting it. PoP seems like the replacement Indy for me, as both have great flesh minifigures and wonderful pieces! Batbrick Away!

Well, I think this project might be dead but I'm going to post my second addition anyway: This is the strongest section of this part of the East wall, as it is entirely new, built over a road instead of incorporated into a fragile building: This section also has a crude system of drawing rain water into tanks as well as supporting a small vegetable garden: The machine gunner gunner is positioned behind the ladder to the top: The top section has no mounted gun, instead the guards are equipped with their own weapons and a stick of TnT. also included are some vegetables, a lamp and water: The two sections together: Comments appreciated! Heehee, thank you for that. I will be a bit disappointed if there is not a large, actual Atlantis building based set, but i can still deal with it; the awesome red pieces will make for a great spaceship. Batbrick Away!

Thanks for the new set pic CaptainRex110. The mech sure looks interesting, better than the last Power Miners one, but I do have problems with it. I dislike the technic based right arm and how simple the left arm is, looks like corners were cut to me. However, the silver Agents armour intrigues me greatly but not enough to buy this set. I'll definitely be getting that other water truck though. Batbrick Away!

What are you going on about? For the record Capt. Kirk, I have on problem with Ra's smoking a cigar, it makes perfect sense, I was just curious where the inspiration came from. The white hair for the Mad Hatter also makes perfect sense as he's portrayed like that in the comics all the time, so no deductions! That said, the new versions you've added are magnificent, the Penguin's different clothing in particular are marvelous! Batbrick Away!

Awww, only two tons of TnT!? Lame! How come NASA never does anything cool anymore, they haven't even landed on the moon in ages. If they blew up a large portion of the moon I'd be with them, even if it did have catastrophic effects, or better yet, carve their initials into it! Mwahahahaha! :skull: Also Big Cam, are you serious? The guy was joking! Batbrick Away!

Movie you liked but most people hated...
Batbrick replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Actually...no. It is a perfectly valid opinion to say it was too much like comic. For one the source material is not just long, but links everything in such an intricate way that if you take something out (like the street vendor) you miss out a lot else. For another, why would I want a perfect adaptation of a comic, when someone could put an original spin on it? Yes, you would get a lot of complaints, but done right like the Shawshank Redemption, Howl's Moving Castle or for an extreme example; Starship Troopers and you can get a different product that is still great. In my opinion Watchmen can't really be adapted to film unless in two parts, and even then a bit is lost since the audience won't exactly take to reading a pirate comic for a part of the duration. I'm not trying to look for faults. The film has gotten better to me yes, some parts of it a great, and I'd say worth buying, but ultimately I just do believe there were flaws in it. The squid being included is just my own opinion, I admit it would probably not work for a timeslot, but Alan Moore himself said Watchmen was an example of what comics can do as opposed to other mediums. And no, this does not contradict my opinion, it merely means that the squid was one of my favourite parts that I would've liked kept, no big deal if it wasn't, just a disappointment. I didn't voice myself before, but the squid is my personal want, as opposed to my objective opinion which realises it couldn't be there. Heck, I'm a Christian but I don't think a movie making fun of it should get bad reviews just for that, I'm interested in seeing it. Dogma is hilarious and that stirred up a fuss too. Batbrick Away! -
What are you, the enemy of fun? Agreed, I'm all for sharing opinions, but I'm getting sick of Klaus Dieter parading his opinions as facts and putting down others who like the line, despite the fact that they are the majority. But yeah, definitely hope there is a larger Atlantis temple set later on in the year, that would be superb, espeically since the ruins we've seen a pretty lackluster. Definitely hoping for something more. Batbrick Away!

Nah, I reckon I'll wait till I start working on it again. I'll post ap ic for you soon, but for now here's my cat: I don't know, a little thing called. . . the internet! You could always download a high quality version onto a dvd if you're desperate to see it on your tv screen. Please, Kevin Cnroy is great as Batman but I really want o see more actors giving the character a go. Plus, that was Dr Cox as Metallo! Sure, it's basically a heavy duty yellow Tumbler based partially on Wet Wire's design: Batbrick Away!

As has been mentioned over in the anime/cartoons thread, I've just finished Monster, a 74 episode anime that is simply mindblowing. Johan, the titular monster is easily one of the scariest, greatest and even most fleshed out of villains I've seen. Let's take a look at this monster shall we? "Look at me! Look at me! The monster inside of me has grown so big!" Batbrick Away!

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Batbrick replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Finished the anime Monster, which is quite lengthy at 74 episodes but easily one of the best shows I've ever seen, live action or animated. It concerns one Dr Tenma of Germany who saves a young boy's life who's parents had been shot to death and twin sister catatonic. After being demoted because he chose to save the boy over the Mayor who came in later, three of his superiors mysteriously die from poisoned candy. Nine years later as the new head of surgery, Dr Tenma witnesses a new murder near the hospital, only to see that the killer was the boy who's life he saved all those years ago; the titular monster. What follows for him is a chase to stop or kill this serial killer and a realisation of what that one kind surgery led to the most catastrophic of consequences. Batbrick Away! -
Sorry KDog, I didn't even see that last one Gotta say I loved the Micheal Jackson tribute. Never been a big fan of his at all, but Thriller cannot be denied of how awesome it is, including the music video. The He-man joke at the end made me laugh too. The pun at the start of the previous one made me cringe though Batbrick Away!

That is one sweet fig! Now with these high quality pics more than before I can say I really love that new diver gear I can see plenty of awesome figs coming form those. The torsos are great too. I know! It's a fig and a rock! I'll still totally get it though. Batbrick Away!

Brilliant! I love your Ra's Al Ghul so much, I might even use it one day. I'm not sure why he has a cigar in the second one tohugh, I've never seen him to do that in the comics of animation. Mad Hatter is perfect as well, well done on including both the classic green suit and TAS design. The face especially with teeth is great. Batbrick Away!

Yeah but not here, I downloaded a high quality version, but I'm sure it's airing soon. I have the schedule for CN though: Oct. 03 10:00 a.m. Legends of the Dark Mite! Oct. 10 10:00 a.m. Hail the Tornado Tyrant! Oct. 16 7:30 p.m. When Omac Attacks! Cool, if I don't catch it just pm me Thanks, Wayne Manor I definitely will finish, but in the meantime I still want to make things. I've basically done the first floor, I just need to do the carpet, finish the stairs and windows. Wolud you like to see a pic? Hey, just because you don't like "ray of hope" doesn't make it crap. It just means you seem to have a narrower vision of quality, which with my help will hopefully be widened What? The End is easily one of the best parts of the show! Watch it now! I retract my "short" statement on the basis that it was as long as it needed to be, but the voice talent was really wasted in some places. A lot of scenes (in particular the Metallo scene) could've used dialog to spice it up, what's the point of paying actors to do just three lines and then have some awkward shots of the characters moving around without saying anything? The horror! Or maybe I'll make it, I already created the Brainboxmobile. Batbrick Away!

Happy birthday Erdbeereis, hope you had a great time and renewed a little appreciation for life Batbrick Away!

That is one of the best spaceships I've seen! I espeically love the back "tail", as well as the dishes on the underside. The use of some different colours to break up the scheme really works too. I love the interior, espeically the hatch handle, and the little buggy is brilliant. Batbrick Away!

Brilliant Sir Gecko! This really made me laugh, I love the use of seaweed, tohugh I do think the Goblin's spot could be filled up a little more. Batbrick Away!
