  1. I'm joining the Triumvirate as a Chiss Engineer, Csapla'to'nicudo (going by "Plato" as his core name, "Platonic" to any would-be romantic interest) and have submitted my character form. He was considered an honorary officer of the Galactic Imperial Navy, specializing in weapons development. He will be joined by a number of personnel aboard the GSD "Gralloch", part of a battle group that had been detached to the edge of the Unknown Regions near Chiss space for purposes of weapons and tactical research. He may have ulterior motives in seeing their success, but he is nonetheless committed to strategic victory for the forces of the Triumvirate
  2. Yep, these, especially the atlanteans, have been my basis for a recent army build too
  3. Yeah, scavenging a useful body part or accessory off of CMF figures just isn’t cutting it
  4. Fair point, I guess the architecture series and the new “18+” line have opened the door. If they wanted a whole lot of my dollars then they would #bringbacklotr. Until then I’ll keep supporting anyone who makes lotr custom figs
  5. Thank you! If I have time tomorrow I’ll show off my elves :)
  6. My Uruk-Hai, sorry am working to improve my photography setup/quality: Top rows of swordsmen, bottom left is the pikeman corps with reinforced arm and shoulder armor, bottom right is the heavy X-bow unit. Berserkers interspersed. Un-named commander on the center rock, and dual-wielding Vrasku bottom center. Light swords, Reavers, and Feral Uruks on the left, led by Ugluk. Nazg-hai elites on wargs on the right Dude wants to eat some horse-riders
  7. As much as I would love to see an LOTR comeback, my 1000-foot view of medieval franchises/films lately is that most have been darker, gritty, geared toward adults: GoT, Last Kingdom, insert-Russell-Crowe-film-here etc. Playful, comedic-type movies like some of the old Robin Hood films made medieval an okay topic for kids, and thus castle toy themes for kids. But I’m not convinced that a historical-ish castle theme is coming back unless there is some seismic pop culture shift
  8. Thanks everyone! I’m gonna start some builds and character backstory while I read through the story and lore you all have put together thus far. Once I have enough Eurobricks cred to PM a faction leader, you’ll be hearing from me again :)
  9. Looking to join up with a character who is Chiss but had heavy Imperial influence in their character development. Thoughts on whether I should join the Triumvirate bandwagon, or is there another faction that would accept a builder of light-bluish-gray things with potential?
  10. Almost choked on my beverage looking at this, haha. I appreciate how compact the vehicle is, but it doesn't detract from the many amusing details within, so props. My personal favorite is the Kowakian on the spit
  11. I like that your Tie maintains the front cockpit frame very well, as seen in the pic without the 4x4 dish applied. Unique take on the hull shape!
  12. I agree with the point above, as there should always be an inexpensive, recognizably-Star-Wars ship out there for the kids and recent dark-agers who don’t want to spend a fortune. Opinions: As someone who was too poor to army build as a kid, I enjoy seeing the huge SW armies of others. These folks buy enough to keep Lego in business, and the theme alive, and then I get to join the fun 15 years later. Mint sealed in box is dumb. I’m much more impressed by a collector who builds and then displays in a way that showcases the object while preserving it from dust, UV, etc.
  13. I have it at 36cm/14.5in from where the tail hits the wall and the landing gear sits on my shelf :) I’ll join in as a fellow lurker/new arrival: as someone coming out of their dark age and getting back into the Star Wars line, Mos Eisley is darn near perfect. Can’t speak as much to the price creep which seems to be a big concern to some, but it will give me a great starting point of alien figs to use in MOCs. Older alien heads/molds are $$$ to come by obviously
  14. For the green unicorn knight, is his weapon purist? I can’t remember seeing a hammer like that anywhere
  15. Sad to say my dark age coincided with the original LOTR sets. Future set releases at this point may hinge on the tone Amazon chooses: more “adventure” vs a potentially darker or warfare centered approach
