  1. This is a pretty cool idea to match it with Gar Saxon minifigure. Legs and arms from Hunter/Wrecker, idk if you can find it in any other set cause parts for them are not added to bricklink yet.
  2. Omega looks really good, but i would replace the weapon with Minifigure, Weapon Bow with Arrow Pixelated (Minecraft) Item No: 18792, i saw it on youtube and it looked great.
  3. Yeah i am all for moding the existing set if you buy extra pieces, but it takes certain skill and a deep pocket to make an entire set by yourself. I can certainly switch my mandalorian fighter to mauls gauntlet, but can i build the entire ship from scratch? definitely not and i doubt the average consumer can either. I agree, but how do you establish a dialog with a multi billion dollar company? They are not going to listen to 50 people on the forum and for every person that votes with their wallet there is another that is buying that same set, only one that can make a difference are LAN members or other influential people in community, but they will most likely use that position for something they want ( no judgment i would do the same). If i lived in USA i would probably not even buy official LEGO stuff i would rather buy sets i want from custom sellers like Republic Bricks, but dealing with customs and paying fees and taxes is just not worth it.
  4. It makes more sense in theory. In reality if you don't already have the pieces and can't build mocs you are screwed. When you buy a set from LEGO you get figures and a certain quality of pieces and the build. I can either buy a flawed mandalorian starfighter with 3 great figures from LEGO for 60$ or buy instructions for 9$ for a custom one, pay 300$ plus shipping 3 times cause 1 seller doesn't have all the pieces just to get old parts and questionable quality and sturdiness.
  5. I mean we did get a similar thing in Marauder for 10$ more and it only came with 3. The real precedent should have been the 75014: Battle of Hoth from 2013 which was basically a Hoth minifigure pack with great builds, molded animal, droid etc. My problem with 501st is strictly the value. Figures are perfect and characters are perfect in the universe and they teach kids about brotherhood etc. so it makes it even more meaningful that fans got together through MandR and that's how we got it, but we are paying double for oversized vehicles and the number of figures stay the same. It would be more worth it if just 1 of the builds were close to size accurate and there is no one to actually drive the AT-RT so just pull it out and sell the set for 15$. It just feels like a greedy anti-consumer thing.
  6. Honestly it's insane that we even got that set, but to me it's more impressive that he made the entire community call 30$ set a battlepack than that he made that set happen at all.
  7. Only thing i hate more than gossiping is when someone misuse legoleaks hashtag, keep doing what you were doing. It's eurobricks exclusive
  8. Ah, yes. Nothing says LEGO leaks 2021 discussion like MandRproductions slander for the 170th page out of 240.
  9. Not a brickheadz fan, but Ahsoka is a great choice, fan favorite and she was in the mandalorian, the clone wars, rebels and she will have her own show so i am happy for Ahsoka fans and people that voted for it. I wish she is a clone wars design so we get our first prequel brickhead, but i won't really mind if she is from the mandalorian either cause i am not going to pick her up anyway, also hope they release data on what people voted for. For people that will complain there is a site called rebrickable and you can literally get instructions for a ton of characters under 5$ if you are into brickhead type of stuff so no matter what you voted for it's not really worth fighting over. I would buy and be happy with Jar-Jar cause i love the phantom menace and it's my childhood, but i can definitely understand LEGO picking Ahsoka.
  10. I have a decent amount of mandos so i want something new between 501st, first order, stormtroopers from rebels or imperial patrol troops from solo. Then again i have to wait for January leaks cause maybe there is a cooler BP from LEGO.
  11. Hope so, i don't want to wait till August of next year to buy something again. Also October first there is a new Star Wars LEGO special on Disney + and one of the character there is someone from this year's set
  12. This week i bought Duel on Mandalore and Mandalorian starfighter from Hungarian bricklink store and i paid only 88$ for it, meanwhile in Croatian LEGO store i would pay 86$ just for the mandalorian fighter, also picked up Snoke and 2 praetorian guards to boost my guard numbers to 5. Really conficted about my next purchase i want bad batch shuttle figures, but not the set so i have to wait for January leaks to see if Crosshair and Wrecker end up being in some better set so i can pass on this one. At the same time i am deciding what to army build next and also eyeing multiple older sets and figures.
  13. It is valid. Pollsters can interview 1000 people to measure the views of a nation of 300+ million people, margin of sampling error 3%. Margin of error drops lower with each additional 1000 people interviewed. Here we have quarter of a million of targeted audience aka LEGO fans from all ages, interests and countries basically checking their entire collections. It's the greatest single thing we have without LEGO revealing their data. With buying patterns of 230k people you can see buying patterns of majority. If out of 50k people that bought 2020 star wars sets 18k got mandalorian battlepack,10 got razor crest and then only 2k got resistance I-TS transport these numbers won't really change much with another random 50k star wars fans. Stuff checks out if you remember every leakers comment about stuff selling well or not, if you see what's on the shelfs and what's not and if you talk with employees that sell this stuff.
  14. We are basically being attacked for liking prequels every other day even here by a random prequel movies sucks rant or only kids like prequels, only teens voted for gunship, verbal abuse on MandR or his fans calling us 11 year olds etc. with their mod privileges cause if we started calling them names we would be banned from the forum. Even designers think we are so mentally stupid that all we remember is a yellow clone from the gunship. OT fans are stuck in the 80ies and whine about every change ever cause they have nostalgia about the good old days and what's even worse most of them don't even like all 3 movies so they are whining and crying about episode 4 and 5. LEGO designer recently said “A seven-year-old knows what’s happened in the last three years, maximum, so it’s very difficult to bring it into their conscious mind,” he explains as a reason for no DC sets. Please tell me which 7 year old remembers a movie that is older than his/her parents? https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-explains-the-lack-of-batman-and-dc-sets-in-2021/ Does voting with wallets do anything? Most owned set on brickset is Rey's speeder and i don't see any sequel sets? Most sold things in the history of LEGO star wars themes are battlepacks = LEGO proceeds to stop making battlepacks. And OT is over represented. Prequel, Sequel, The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars, Rebels, Rogue One, Solo the Star Wars movie and Resistance fans had only 2 sets to buy from 2020 august wave to 2021 august wave: 4+ resistance x-wing and trouble on tatooine. 8 movies,4 tv shows = 2 sets, while 3 ot movies got promo set, 2 micro fighters, 3 vehicle sets, 2 helmets and brickbuilt droid thingy. For the love of Gods we didn't even get a single non-droid minifigure in the advent calendar for past 8 years and the worst thing: they completely ignored 20th anniversary of the phantom menace and made all anniversary figures original trilogy ALL 6 OF THEM. Prequel UCS set sells poorly = no Prequel UCS sets for 10 years, Original Trilogy UCS set sells horribly= oh,no! Anyway meme.
  15. First of all i understand your reaction cause i am sick and tired of original trilogy sets and hate original trilogy, but original trilogy sells like hot cakes too. If you watch number of sets owned on brickset you will see almost the same amount of people that bought 501st set also bought imperial dropship set with stormtroopers for army building so if Lego releases a battle pack with scout troopers and stormtroopers it would sell as good as Ahsokas 332nd clone trooper battle pack. Last time we got an actual clone battle pack (and not a 30$ set that people for some reason call battlepack) was in 2015 geonosis clones and people bought more stormtrooper battlepacks and more shadow trooper battlepacks that same year. You will also see same amount of people picked up trouble on tatooine and AAT and Obi Wan's Hutt so it's not only prequel stuff selling well, we can make an argument that best selling stuff rn is actually Mandalorian sets. You know there are actual people out there ( and this is not a joke ) that spent 60$ on a tiny boba fett helmet with no minifigures and they beat grievous starfighter in sales 3 to 1. So yeah Gunship and AT-TE would sell like hotcakes , but at the same time so would Slave 1 and Imperial shuttle that are done right. I am sad to say this, but 2015 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (that even i that hates original trilogy wants) sold way more than AT-TE and gunship back in 2013. You think that prequel stuff is most wanted cause you talk with your friends, with people on youtube and reddit and discord, but in reality there are older generations that grew up with OT that are not using those apps or being vocal there and still buying sets in big numbers like us, just look at the nebulon votes i had to google what it was as star wars fan since 1999 and it still almost beat gunship that had multiple people and groups advocating for it. There are as many OT fans as PT fans and as many fans that love and collect everything star wars.
  16. Depends on a lot of factors for example they might change his suit after first episode and we may never see that same minifigure again. Maybe LEGO has no Boba Fett sets in January and you will have to wait for August wave of 2022 to get him in another set so that would pump up the price too. If the show is amazing and there is no new sets with him price rises again. On the other hand they can do the same thing they are doing with Din Djarin figure and just throw him in every Boba Fett set making his price drop to 8$-13$ or even lower 7$-11$. This is exactly why i am waiting to pull the trigger on the Slave 1 and the Bad Batch shuttle, if they are just throwing Boba and Bad Batch members in a ton of sets in January i don't have to buy current sets that i don't like just for Boba, Crosshair and Wrecker. It's actually sad that i ordered new sets on bricklink from another country (Hungary) and they came in 2 days while LEGO didn't ship your orders after a week.

  18. Yeah it's not all TLG even if they remake stuff so called investors will find some other figure/set and inflate it's price, but they would definitely break multiple bubbles very fast and end their bad practices. I can already see Mando Fighter retiring and group of people buying out every Gar Saxon on the market and then setting the price for him to 60$ and there will be people that will still buy it. I just don't see a way out of this mess. It will get worse and worse, i love resellers and i don't mind paying extra or double for old sets or figures, but we are at the point where 1 figure costs double than the entire set did. Like thrawn is 80$, set was 40$ just 3 years ago.
  19. Well the thing is if your favorite character is Darth Vader you can find him in a set almost every year and buying his chrome figure would be an extra step to have a "luxury collectible" of your favorite character. On the other hand if your favorite character is Zeb, Pre Vizsla , Queen Amidala in her iconic dress or Tactical Droid you have no other choices than to buy their figures no matter the cost if you want your favorite character in your collection cause they came out in 1 set years and years ago. Your opinion is right this is dumb and insane, but this is strictly the issue of LEGO not remaking sought after stuff. Just look at Qui-Gon figure from 1999-2002 it's worth 3$ even though it's rare and old just cause we got 7 other figures of him after it. This is exactly why i don't see insane prices stopping anytime soon. Gar Saxon and Paz Vizsla will never be made again and their figures will be 60$ + in just a few years after the sets retire and if LEGO doesn't have something else to replace 501st set for phase 2 clone army builders as soon as 501st set retires people will be buying them for 2-3 times the price. There is a huge demand for so many things and people have no other choices than to hop on bricklink and buy old stuff pumping up the price higher and higher while LEGO is too buy making same sets over and over or focusing on helmets and brickbuilt characters.
  20. Cheapest sealed on bricklink is 250$ in canada, same seller is selling venator sealed from the same time period and similar cost for almost 800$. Yeah, completely understandable. Not a big fan of the design either.
  21. I don't think they do, but i personally use brickset to determine how well sets are selling. According to brickset LEGO sold: 13522 Death stars 4778 Obi Wans starfighters with the lowest "i want this set" numbers out of all of this sets 6991 super star destroyers 10189 R2-D2s 11902 ewok villages 9874 x-wings 9962 sandcrawlers 17095 slave 1s 10857 tie fighters You can clearly see Obi Wans starfighter sold horribly and it still has terrible i want this set numbers. Even though i love prequels with all my heart i can put my feelings aside and see it wasn't a good financial move to keep making sets that would sell that badly and i can see that LEGO had no thoughts about even making prequel ucs sets again when they had things like slave 1, ewok village etc. selling so good. Just with a small sample size of people using brickset Slave 1 sold almost 4 times as many sets as Obi Wan's starfighter. Lot of people including me said LEGO hates prequels etc., but if you check out the numbers it's purely a business decision cause after all LEGO is a company. You also mentioned Y-wing which sold 7558 sets so almost double as Obi Wan's starfighter, worst selling UCS set nowadays is star destroyer which is IN MY OPINION very expensive, very large, has no interior and minifigures are bad and if my memory is correct even one of the leakers said it's selling badly on this forum giving some accuracy to brickset numbers. Only set that sold worse was assault on hoth. I remember clear as day going with my friends in a store to buy lego sets in 2010 and not a single one of us was interested in the Obi Wan's set, it was also competing with much better sets for the same price like AT-AT, Venator, Slave 1, Clone Turbo tank, the battle of endor etc, ton of amazing battlepacks aswell... Let's say you are a child with 100 dollars and see the battle of endor with 12 minifigures, bunker, catapult, flying ewok, cool speeders and at-st and near it sad looking obi wan's starfighter with no Obi Wan for the same price, no wonder it sold horribly. Yes prequels were hated, people constantly complained about jar-jar, they were saying how senate and political stuff dragged out and they complained about midichlorians, acting, dialog and cgi. Actor that played Jar-Jar was so hated he attempted suicide. People that spread hate and complained are the ones that grew up with original trilogy and didn't like new movies. Now prequel fans that grew up with those movies and love them are becoming vocal on the internet and are working and have a huge budget to spend on things like LEGO so everything shifted. (Clone wars and filling up gaps with clone wars also brought in a lot of fans.)
  22. So it's a very rare figure cause it wasn't originally in the set. LEGO decided to swap up 1 of the other pilots and put Finch instead. This was a year after the set was released and most of the people that wanted it already got it so it's very rare in very few sets. Those sets that you see for 200$ are most likely old versions or someone clueless selling them, on bricklink and on ebay i only see prices around 1000$ for it. Character was really impactful for some people even though he was only in the movie for few seconds, he has exclusive helmet and face print.
  23. Just built duel on Mandalore and Mandalorian starfighter. Love the throne it's a really cool little display and Maul figure is great, did not enjoy putting stickers on especially on the cell, if you miss it just for a bit you will see Maul's horns or neck instead of face. Starfighter is great, all the figures too especially Bo Katan and Gar Saxon, i have 2 major issues with it: cockpit gap looks really bad and there is no landing gear or anything under the front of the middle part so the set leans forward when you display it in the landing form. Glad i didn't order 3 right away. Does anyone know when will 501st and AAT sets retire?
