  1. Great work on the bridge, looks fantastic!
  2. Nice job, reminds me a bit of the old Bedford Rascal :)
  3. Nice work dude, always loved the Dakar-style 911s. But the 930 flatnose is lovely. Maybe one day we'll see a 5 wide windscreen
  4. As everyone has said - awesome work! Really cool. I love the fire hydrant - great use of the minifig helmet. But everything is spot on, congrats!
  5. A few photos of recent developments! Extended the table outwards (again), finished off the footbridge, added a small ticket hall and a canopy on the island platform :) Thanks!
  6. Awesome work man! Saw this on your insta feed before - I'm nwbricks ;)
  7. Here's a few photos from the last couple of days - got the new line installed, added an island platform and currently working on the footbridge (and elevator!) The big white support in the last image is just temporary while I figure everything out! :) Cheers
  8. Great work, the vaulted ceiling looks fab
  9. Thankyou very much A trip to B&Q yesterday and i've extended the front by ~16 studs (and a bit) Laying down some more track, just waiting on some baseplates to arrive!
  10. The van is so nice, really like the styling. The front bumper is lovely and axes for wing mirrors - brilliant!
  11. Thanks dude! Great idea, I've literally just been buying parts for an elevator :D I need to extend the train platform a bit, so will try and make room for it there I think. Did some more work on the signal box last night, pretty happy with it so far!
  12. Hey, it still looks great man! Definitely worth tracking down a red windscreen :)
  13. Thanks man :) but I'm not so clever either, its a lot of trial and error It's taken a LONG time so far!
  14. You're right! I think that set had it in black too, along with the 4564 freight train. Both $$$ these days
  15. Yeah, you're right — I guess my point is that while its possible to get them accurate and straight, it feels like a bit of a cop-out. Compared to the modular buildings where everything is printed, applying stickers to a £200+ technic set just feels kinda cheap! Thought saying that, having stickers is probably better for parting out. Argh!
  16. Same, I cant stand stickers and rarely apply them. Printed pieces just feel so much nicer. Using the brick separator / washing up liquid method you can get them fairly precise but its a lot of effort and always feels like a waste of a piece!
  17. Love the look of this. Unfortunately I dont think the windscreen is available in red (I could be wrong) but the whole thing would look equally nice in green Nice job :)
  18. This is so nice ! Love all the little details, the barrel as a lampshade is fab. Congrats!
  19. Thanks, much appreciated! The rocks look so bare without any greenery on them, glad you guys like it. Totally agree about the train tunnels, there's just "something" about them Will post more updates as I progress. Currently waiting on an IKEA delivery so I can sort out the fairground! Cheers :)
  20. Wow - looks totally different, but I love the old school look of the front! And the air vent on the side is a neat touch. Does the awning fold away?
  21. Hello! Thought I'd share a few photos of the current state of my layout. It's not the biggest or most extravagant, and it's still very much a work in progress but I'm pleased with the progress so far. The area to the right will eventually be raised up and hold the roller coaster and other fairground bits. And after that... I'll be commandeering some more space in the spare room ha! If anyone has any recommendations for passenger coaches/ DMUs/ etc for inspiration that would be great, as I'm not a massive fan of the stock LEGO passenger trains. All the rock walls are modular and can (in theory...) be removed / modified easily in 16 or 32 stud sections, as seen in the last photo. Cheers! :)
  22. Really cool man, the balconies are gorgeous and the minifig statue looks awesome!
  23. Yeah, I was thinking something similar... maybe a zoo / safari part of a theme park if you have the coaster (etc)? (Currently trying to figure out where tf to put mine ?) Or maybe someone broke into the zoo and let the lions out... I'd love some more food trucks, tempted by the monster burger van but it sticks out like a sore thumb!
  24. Really nice guide, thanks for this. Might be a stupid question, but how does it compare to using "normal" rechargeable 1.5v AAs?
  25. Looks really nice man, I've never been able to work out if I like the new style wheels or not but they look great here. Nice job :)
