  1. You know, that having been said, the chances for Order 66 related material (even indirectly) is a lot greater now. Suddenly, the ARC-170 and Plo Koon Starfighter sets make a lot more sense. (I know that's not the point you were making, but it's worth pointing out)
  2. This is forever replacing "is a pig's butt pork?" Because we already know the Earth is flat, duh. Buzz was a spy for Blacktron all along!?
  3. You don't get nearly enough stuff to justify the price, but the model itself is rather beautiful. I'm conflicted, because I kind of want it, but I cannot fathom the magic math LEGO used to come up with a $45 price tag. (I've also never been one to hunt for discounts) Home One is decent also, and finally a new R5-D8. Not worth my time, but still nice.
  4. This is the most obvious one. The other option is a JSF x Tri-Fighter/Vulture Droid, but with both Ahsoka's Eta-2 and Plo's Delta 7, there's no chance of that. Alternatively, this may just be a coincidence and not an intentional set pattern, in which case we're well overdo for Vader's TIE Advanced, period.
  5. Why is Batman falling for a villainess so painfully on brand? Abandoning the film anniversaries for internal ones is certainly a choice Lego's been lately. I'll also be the first one to say it, Lego doesn't do a lot of actual PT sets, just a lot of Clone Wars ones. There is a difference, and I for one would love to get more film sets (ARC-170 and possibly Plo's Starfighter are a great start. Please let it be R4-F5, Lego) The Disney Bros are getting too big for their plastic britches, gotta get 'em back to Earth somehow.
  6. Revenge of the Sith (the only III that matters)
  7. They're spreading throughout the Outer Rim at an alarming pace. At this rate, they will reach Nar Eurbrikka within weeks.
  8. Excellent job, my friend. Though I dare them to keep us contained! Who are the guards, btw? You might've said, but I missed it.
  9. C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER I have never in my life swallowed a Lego brick. ABS is too precious to be consumed by my mortal form.
  10. I think Syril Figgis Karn has you beaten there, friend. My TCW Plo Koon just shattered completely (I kriffing hate Lego's Browns/Maroons), so now I'm definitely curious to see Plo's starfighter.
  11. The Brick Pimp himself. Though Squidman is a really good number 1 too. (I loved Space Police III)
  12. P Squiddy? Space Police III's (2nd) greatest villain!?
  13. Only Arkham Knight is rated MA, the rest are rated T. Of course, that doesn't mean they'll be the basis for the D2C, but it's not completely out of the question. The RC Batmobile was based on Arkham Knight, btw.

  15. Batman, Harleen Quinzel, Joker (Prison), Security Guard, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Penguin (for some reason), Mister Freeze, Nightwing, Bane. I'm batting about .800 on this one.
  16. Two things can be true at the same time. Both the Jedi and Anakin were wrong. After all, it was Luke's attachment to his father, the idea of his redemption: "I am a Jedi, like my father before me" that saves Anakin. The Jedi were manipulated by the Sith, yes, but they were already blinded by politics and the belief that they themselves always knew what was best, even when faced with the folly of their so-called wisdom. The mishandling of Anakin, treating him with coldness instead of the empathy he needed, these are all fatal flaws in the Prequel-era Jedi. The one thing TLJ Luke gets right is that the Old Ways needed to end. In the EU, Luke's Jedi are organized as such because the Prequel Era rules had not been established. It was perfectly reasonable to assume that Jedi could have families and such, and Lucas at the time, never contradicted this. Star Wars is a tale about family(ies), belief in redemption, and the prevailing of Good over Evil. Anakin didn't prove the Jedi code right, they were destroyed because of their own arrogance. Anakin fell to the same manipulative power. His redemption ironically proves that attachments can be powerful in a good way, as without Luke's attachment to the very idea of his father, the galaxy would still be flying the Imperial Cog. Ben kills her in his raid on the school. In all seriousness, sounds interesting. Looking forward to see what you came up with.
  17. I understand all your points. But TROS is still bad, I'm sorry. It's biggest issue that it's a mess of story, pacing is terrible, too much stuff to fit into a tight window, made worse when you realize the movie is supposed to take place all within a 24-hour period. Best things to come out of that movie is Rey's yellow lightsaber, Papa Palpatine, Zori Bliss, and Finn finally being Force sensitive. Jannah's character had potential, and the Anzellans are cool, but yeah. It's just a visual overload of "isn't that cool!?" Which, even if it is cool, doesn't make for a compelling story. Like I said, the ST is trying to be epic fantasy, but fails to take the time to hit story beats properly. Prequels are subtle masterpieces, not everyone will like or understand them, casuals may even hate them, but the Rise of Skywalker was just a mess, and casuals hated it. He's a flawed character, much more so than we the audience would expect. He's a warrior hero, not a superhero. Vader was always there, hidden underneath. But at some point, the question becomes whether or not Anakin will conquer his dark impulses, but because he's so withdrawn and socially inept (not helped by being whisked away at nine years old to be a monk messiah), he never receives the help he needs. To the council, he just needs to get over his feelings, to Obi-Wan, he needs to get over his feelings. The only person who gets him just so happens to be the big bad, the greatest evil in the galaxy. Him being a creep towards Padme is by design. He's a monk, damn near incapable of flirting, so of course his flirting would come across as weird. Also, all romance is creepy on some level, it's all about whether the other person's into it. Luckily, Padme was into it. His arrogance is, again, a flaw. But, he is the greatest Jedi warrior of the time (not named Windu or Yoda), he's constantly hyped up as "The Chosen One", these things tend to go to one's head. As far as the friendship thing, I know reading in this fandom is like the devil to some (not saying you), but seriously, read the comics and the books that released with the CWMMP (Star Wars Republic/Clone Wars, Labyrinth of Evil) they'll take you on the journey in a way that matches the films much better than later materials. The Prequels could've used more time to tell it's full story, granted, but again, the story flows together. The Sequels have a lot of potential, but they lack the narrative cohesive, the intentionality that the first two trilogies had. I will also agree that hearing Obi-Wan in ANH makes less sense with knowledge of the Prequels. But again, a lot of things changed in Lucas' story as time went on.
  18. So...his highly influential, "was there when it happened", light of the galaxy, Uncle Luke, has about as much sway on him as some random internet commenter lightyears away. In that case, you'd think Anakin himself would show up to tell Ben the whole story, being a Force Ghost and all. There's no defending this. I feel like you're missing the point. If Luke was pulled out of his hate for Vader on a hunch/hope of redemption, someone who is the epitome of an absent father, why wouldn't he extend that much more grace to a little perceived darkness in his nephew, who'd been by his side for years? Momentary thoughts and planning a whole bedroom assassination (which he almost carried out, btw) are two totally different animals. That's one way to look at it. I'm more irritated by how much of an obvious spit-in-the-face to Rian Johnson it was to make her a Palpatine.
  19. I'm not. A large portion of the forum are NuCanon fans. Seeing them ranked so highly, is a surprise though. Dost thou partake of Shakespeare? The dialogue is hardly what defines the genre, and even if that were true, ham dialogue is par for the course. The whole story is tragedy. Anakin's journey, the fall of the Republic/rise of the Empire, the movies have a sense of impending doom. No matter what highs our heroes experience, the brutal end is inevitable. A lot of the Prequels is about what isn't said, reading the scene to get the bigger picture. I respect that you like it, but it's pretty bad. You seem to like the "feel good" aspects of Star Wars, so to each their own. But even casuals hated it. A lot of assumptions being made here. I'll give you Rey and Kylo, but Luke is not a natural progression of the character. This is the same man who fought to redeem a father with whom he had no connection to, other than knowing he was a good man at some point. To do that and then attempt to murder his nephew? That's laughable storytelling. Also, Kylo being inspired by his grandfather makes no sense on the face of it. Did nobody tell him Darth Vader redeemed himself when he died? That he died a Jedi? That would've nipped several problems right in the bud.
  20. I concede to your rebuttal. Decent list. As far as the shows go, as the years go by, I abandon the 2008 Clone Wars in favor of the Multi Media Project more and more. I get that it's not Disney Canon, but I don't really care about "canon" anymore. But based solely on how I felt as the shows were released: In a tier by itself: SW:CW (2003) Disney Canon: TCW (All of it, Seasons 1-3 are my favorites) Andor (glad I waited to watch it after the whole thing released) The Mandalorian (All of it, S3 was weak but ok) Rebels (Rather hit or miss, and only a few arcs still hold up imo) Resistance (Yes. I watched Resistance. Yes. I liked Resistance. Yes. I'm as surprised as you are) TBB (Not a fan of the filler. Too many "monster/heist of the week" episodes, too little Empire/Clone Rebellion) Ahsoka (Not going to get into why, but a lot of head scratching went on here) Kenobi (Legends comics were better, this breaks continuity and raises more questions than answers) TBoBF (I was promised the Sopranos in Space. Not whatever that was. Fennec & Mando were the best parts of that whole show) The Acolyte (Haven't watched, don't care too.) I will say, my biggest is with Disney is that their stuff is good in a vacuum. Once you start lining things up with the six Lucas films, the tone is off, and a lot of story decisions don't fit with the established universe. By that metric, I'd say Andor and the first two Mandalorian seasons are the best. The OT is a Space Opera (hence the fairy tale vibe), the PT is a Shakespearean Tragedy (most obviously in ROTS). The ST tries to be a modern Sci-Fi Fantasy, but just ends up feeling derivative of the OT. It's not alone in this, the Jurassic World movies suffer a similar dissonance with it's predecessor Park trilogy. I really like the First Order Transport. Very WWII inspired. It's the one ship I want Lego to remake. The FO's vehicles where actually pretty nice (AT-M6. the star destroyers, even the snowspeeder), it's just the Resistance that could've used a bit more flaire.
  21. That would really sum up Sony's Spider-verse, wouldn't it?
  22. Since the media discussion was given the green light, I'll just put my rankings of the nine saga films, according to respective categories As solo media (stand alone films) A New Hope Revenge of the Sith The Force Awakens The Phantom Menace The Empire Strikes Back The rest tie for last, as they pretty much require the other movies. Iconography (visuals, locations, and plot devices) The Empire Strikes Back A New Hope Revenge of the Sith Return of the Jedi The Last Jedi Attack of the Clones The Phantom Menace The Force Awakens The Rise of Skywalker Music (Simplified by trilogy) OT (Empire, ANH, Jedi) PT (ROTS, TPM, AOTC) ST (TFA, TLJ, TROS) Overall (in my very biased opinion ) Revenge of the Sith The Empire Strikes Back A New Hope Attack of the Clones The Phantom Menace Return of the Jedi The Force Awakens The Rise of Skywalker (with Papa Palpatine being its sole saving grace) The Last Jedi All I'll add to that discussion is that George's saga told a complete story, and imo, told it well. The things people like to harp on the prequels for, are intentional. Anakin is an awkward flirt by design, he's a disturbed and sociopathic character by design. These things make sense for his character. The Original Trilogy suffers a bit from constant story changes throughout the production of the three films (Vader wasn't always going to be Anakin, Luke and Leia weren't always siblings) as well as not lining up with the Prequels perfectly (again, changes in story ideas as the saga progressed), but one would never notice these things as the trilogy is still a coherent and compelling narrative. The Force Awakens showed a lot of promise, but the Last Jedi was more concerned with "subverting expectations" than telling a continuous story, which led The Rise of Skywalker to becoming the pettiest movie ever made, constantly undoing story beats and plot elements established in the previous film (Kylo gets his helmet back, Rey's no longer a nobody, "That's no way to treat a Jedi's weapon", etc.) I think the sequels needed a single director in order to smooth things out. Or alternatively, kept Colin Trevorrow's Duel of the Fates, which seems like it would've been a pretty epic film on its own, separated from the trilogy. The only things TLJ did well were its cinematography and some of its soundtrack. The tone of the film better suits a Marvel project than a Star Wars one, and some story decisions are headscratchers. Also, introducing Reylo over the Finn/Rey connection JJ was establishing in the first film is a decision I will never forgive Rian Johnson for. You are joking, right? I'd hardly call Andy Serkis' character "iconic". Cool, yes. But not iconic. These are all solid options, and probably the most likely. If Andor had gotten a film release, I could see those getting made .Every 2008 Clone Wars era LSW fan. The amount of clone base MOCs still being made to this day says a lot of them. Lars Homestead: "Am I a joke to you?" Fight the Scalpers!
  23. I can agree with this. I particularly like the image of Rey lifting the rocks.
